Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI can't think of anything that I didn't like.
Cozy Corner could not be faulted. It managed to keep its traditional charm and character whilst also being comfortable and contemporary. The location is perfect, being close to bars, restaurants, and places of interest without the throngs of tourists or partygoers. Relaxing and Valetta are not normal bedfellows, but Cozy Corner pulls it off extremely well. As i frequently stay in Gozo, I have been searching for a suitable stopover prior to my early morning flights back to the UK. Cozy Corner fits that bill. It's a short hop by bus or taxi to the airport. The ever helpful host even offers to take you. I just hope Cozy Corner is available when I next fly. Maybe I should have not written a glowing review and kept this little gem a secret.

United KingdomGreat cozy Maltese style house. The house is clean and equiped with all you need (AC, Wi-Fi, kitchen & fridge, washing machine, 2 showers & toilets). Fantastic location, close to main street in Valletta and fort St. Elmo. A lot of bars and good restaurants around. The owner of the house is very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomVery steep staircases not suitable for people who can not manage stairs easily. The dehumidifier downstairs needs emptying more often as it will not work otherwise.
The location was convenient. The morning walk, slightly up the hill, was refreshing and nice and not too far from the very centre of Valetta. Located very close to a major war museum at fort St.Elmo. Many sockets and switches at exactly the right places. The bedroom downstairs best suitable for an older child or adult, not for a young child.

I have traveled over 100 times so far, but it was a really comfortable location. They are the best owners who respond immediately in case of trouble. I came home from sightseeing and thought it was my home. I hope to come again someday.

GermanyNothing, everything was perfect!
The stay was perfect, and not expensive compared to other hotels and properties in the area. The location was very good, next to the main street in Valleta, close to everything. Communication with the hostess was very easy. As soon as we made the reservation, she sent all the instructions to get the keys. She offered to meet us, but we did not because of our arrival time, and I find it good to have the flexibility to meet the hostess or to self check-in, as people have different preferences. The home is extremely cozy and clean and everything is very well thought for you to have comfort but at the same time still feel in a medieval atmosphere. I did not use the kitchen that much, but it had all the necessary untensils for a quick meal. There is also a washing machine and a dishwasher. I would definetely stay there again! Just a comment, which is not by any means a criticism, but something that might be useful for people with limited mobility, people with kids etc: the house does have a lot of narrow steps to access the upper room and the cellar. But in the first floor with the living room/kitchen there is a bathroom and a bed withihn a niche (giving it some privacy), all accessible without stairs, so I believe it would still be maneageble.

United KingdomThe stone spiral stairs could possibly be a bit of a challenge for elderly people. But that being said, it was a wonderful place. We loved it!
Location perfect, far enough out of the city to be fairly quiet, but close enough for a walk into the centre. The general ambiance of this accommodation really added to the overwhelming beauty of Valletta.

United StatesCould use a light fixture for reading in the sofa area. A double bed, perhaps a pull out, would be preferable to a single bed on the main level as that is where all the action is.
Amazing location and the two balconies were a great bonus. The main room was wonderful, cathedral ceiiing and lovely lighting. Lovely shower and lots of utensils for cooking and eating. She thought of everything!

AustriaYou could hear the neighbours and cars in the street quite clearly through the vents and windows. This isn't too much of an issue though, due to the location being mostly quiet without much traffic at night.
The house offers a unique experience you could not get from a conventional hotel. The old town house has three/four stories which each were modernised to meet all the usual needs while retaining it's authentic charm. The host provided detailed instructions on how to get to the house and some information on the surroundings, which was rather helpful.

FranceThe spiral stairs in the property were difficult, especially for older guests. Perhaps a rope on the wall to hold on to might help. Also, unfortunately renovation work going on was noisy early morning.
This was an AirB&B so we made our own meals or ate out. Shops were local and had everything we needed. We loved coming back to Cosy Corner after our days out

IsraelWe spent 12 days in the beautiful and special charming house of Joelean in Valletta, Malta. If you wish to feel the spirit of Valletta, "Cozy Corner House in Valletta-Authentic" is exactly the place for you. We fall in love with the house at first glance, while looking for an extraordinary place with a very reasonable price. And indeed, we weren't disappointed at all. On the contrary, the unique "Cozy Corner House in Valletta-Authentic " met all our expectations and more. The about 500 years old house has been renovated and renewed with a lot of thought, beauty and grace that combine new with old. Ms. Joelean greeted us with a warm welcome. She took the time and gave us some good advice on how to spend our vacation in Valletta in particular, and in Malta in general (in addition to the written information that she left in the house). We found the house very clean, equipped with all we needed for a short or long vacation. The location of the house is excellent for trips in Valletta and out of Valletta. We highly recommended staying at "Cozy Corner House in Valletta-Authentic " to anyone who is looking for an unconventional environment and excellent atmosphere. Reuven and Dorit, Israel
