Everything was excellent. We had a bottle of fizz on ice waiting in our room when we arrived and during the week, a fruit platter was left in our room which were lovely touches. Staff couldn't be more helpful and really wanted to please. Probably the best hotel we have been to for customer service and care. There is a roof terrace which is great to sit out on after a day of visiting the sites of Malta.

I think the rooms could have done with a sweep / vacuum by housekeeping.

Staff at the hotel was so welcoming and helpful with advice and recommendations and this personal touch made our stay more enjoyable. The hotel is situated in a great location and when there are events in the open air Opera House, it can easily be seen from the roof terrace (great tip by the staff!) The breakfast was amazing and staff were able to accommodate for dietary requirements.

From the minute we arrived to the time we left all the staff were incredibly charming, attentive and kind, nothing was ever too much trouble for them. The hotel manager Moul shared many useful tips and recommendations which really added to the enjoyment of our time in Valletta. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a huge bed, luxurious bedding, plenty of storage space and a well equipped bathroom. Breakfasts (not buffet) were freshly cooked and delicious with enough choice not to become boring, even though we stayed a week. The roof terrace seating area looked very inviting, but unfortunately for us it was too cool and windy to use it this time. What a great location for a hotel too…….very central but quiet (being on a pedestrianised street)

No place to have a drink or restaurant.

It's exceptional as it's elegant but understated. It has a lot of charm, and from the moment you walk in the door, you feel like you're in a beautiful refuge. It's not trying to be hip or, worse, be some club. If I want to go out dancing and hang out at a bar, I will go. But who wants to navigate with their luggage through a nightclub scene? It's just weird. I don't want to walk into the lobby hotel and feel like I've just entered some hyped-up single scene. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, and they have a relaxing feeling because their decor does not shout at you. The bathrooms are large, and so are the tubs, so you want to indulge in a soak. Or go up to the terrace on the roof and look around at all the historic sites. But that is something I don't understand. They have this fantastic roof with a view up and down one of the main historic thoroughfares, overlooking the ruins of the Opera house; why not have a bar up there? It's extraordinary because it's like the owners lack imagination. After all, they have this incredible building, yet they need to learn how to bring it up to the next level and bring it to life. Yes, it's a place where you want to relax and unwind. It's in the middle of everything, but at the same time, once you walk through the doors, you feel secluded in a great place. The staff is incredible; they're very knowledgeable and personable and treat you like your guest, not just a number. That is what made my stay. The only downside is also that the restaurant is closed in the evening, which must be addressed. They used to have a popular restaurant but have yet to take advantage of their location. Suppose they had some tables outside and offered something casually elegant. I think many people would want to sit there instead of in some tourist trap. It's just a prime location for a meeting spot.

Everything was perfect.

An absolutely amazing staff, always friendly and welcoming, taking pride in their job. The Manager Maul created an exemplary working ethos and high quality service. Everyone seemed genuinely happy and incredibly helpful. We celebrated my husband's birthday and we were delighted with special touches such as a bottle of wine in the room or a birthday cake for breakfast. The hotel's location is exceptionally convenient for exploring the fascinating town of Valletta. Its beautiful ambience, architecture, antiques, all imaginable comforts make it a truly exceptional place to stay. We had one dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was also really good (the same applies to breakfast). We felt incredibly looked after and enjoyed our stay. The staff was happy to chat and shared practical information, always with a smile! It was our first visit to Malta and we have brought back wonderful memories of saturated colours, thought-provoking exhibitions, stunning architecture, incredibly well-organised and kind people. I didn't like that the room we had was without a possibility of any fresh air. The window that you can open is towards the internal area of the hotel. Respectively it was dark and you have to be with lights on all the time.

Top location of the hotel - close to everything! Very polite staff and good breakfast. Old and beautifully restored building. Nice terrace on the third floor overlooking the main street.

Everything was wonderful, the hotel was very comfortable, beautiful, clean, they cleaned the room every day, the room was wonderful, very beautiful furniture, they were greeted very warmly and cordially, it was my husband’s birthday and it was very pleasant when they turned on music for breakfast in the morning and congratulated my husband on dessert, and then it was ours at the hotel another surprise awaited us, wonderful wine, wonderful staff, wonderful attitude, great many thanks to all the staff, if we return in the summer, and apparently we will definitely return, we will only stay in this hotel and I advise everyone, you can’t go wrong
