Dripping shower (noisy all over the night), dirty with mold, creaking bed. The host had probably bad experience with some guests because they threat you with a fine for everything.

Very good location nearby all touristy facilities: ferry terminal, buses and boat trips, shops. The room looked nice and had everything you might need, even fridge, microwave, toaster. The breakfast was surprisingly nice, the lady will prepare you fresh eggs (scrambled or fried). Nice to have clean drinking water in the room.

My pillows - they were quite hard and lumpy. Also the duvet was so heavy for the warmer weather . Mattress was comfortable though

The location has a hostel/hotel about 100m away, and the teenagers like to sit outside laughing and chatting as teenagers do. The sound does carry down the road up to 22:30-23:00.

Easy to check in. Easy to come and go. Owner very friendly and knowledgeable about local area, Maltese history. 5 minutes (if that) from Sliema-Valletta ferry, and food/wine shops and buses to all parts of the island. Local restaurants good to - mix of types at competitive prices.

Even with clim to warm the room, it was cold because of the bow windows which let go the wind : 2 solutions : shut the doors placed in front of the bow window or change the simple curtain for a thermo curtain. Stairs : even we know that they are steep, the steps are also slippy when it's raining because of bright paint : maybe pieces of carpet on each step would be a solution, even there are strips to prevent falling Water flow of the shower was very low

Although it was not misrepresented, I didn't like the fact that there was no shower cabin in my room, only the shower and toilet.

Excellent location in Sliema, close to the bus stop and the city center. The host was pleasant and easy to interact with. Although I did not try breakfast, it appeared to be OK. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

I had the ground level room. The windows point to the inner courtyard, making me feel a little exposed. Some of the furniture, like the chest of drawers is a bit worn. But overall the room was very homey.

The location is super convenient, especially when exploring Malta with public transport as I did. Lee is a very accommodating host and super helpful if you're looking for tips and recommendations. It's also nice to chat with him over breakfast :) The house overall is a very charming older building.

I cannot say that there was a really negative point, except perhaps the breakfast hour, which was a bit too tight (from 8.30 to 9.30) especially if you have to go to some meeting. For holidays it might be OK. I was there for two nights. The first morning the hours did well with my programme, but the second morning I had to be at the venue at 8.00, so there was no way to have breakfast there.

Everything was actually OK. The hosts are really very pleasant people. The room I had was large, with a small kitchen corner and the bathroom separated from the living area with a completely transparent glass wall (might be useful to know). Re breakfast: travellers should not expect a complete continental breakfast, with bacon and eggs and so on. You can eat as much as you want but choice is limited (however with sweet and cold cuts) due to the fact that it's a small structure with only 6 rooms, and food waste must of course be avoided. Due to the age (but everything renewed) and structure of the building the stairs to the rooms upstairs are quite steep and unfortunately there is no possibility to install an elevator. If arriving in the dark with self-check-in it might be a good idea to have a small torch (also a smartphone torch is OK) with you to be able to read the small numbers on the small padlock to open the letter box.
