Sam, a special mention to him! From my check in (2am) to my check out 3 days later he was ensuring that everything was going smoothly. I stay often in 5 stars hotels and very exclusive places. So I’m very much used to high standards services and hospitality. Sam is truly professional and a fantastic asset to the Palazzo Castagna. I wish him the very best. Sandeep and the hotel manager and owner; whom helped me with some work related issue. So : Details, finish of the rooms and the public places. Details such as : a specific “make up towel”. I found it so well thought! The bedding is simply sleeping on a cloud. I wish to gate keep it. In few words don’t hesitate to book it. If I have to come to Malta I’ll make sure to stay at Palazzo Castagna. Thank you Sam Sandeep, and the hotel manager.

There really isn’t much to say. They’ve thought about most details. A Nespresso machine in the room would have been an extra bonus as we love coffee but the coffee at breakfast was great.

Wow a truly magical place! For our last night in Malta we booked this hotel as it was close to the airport and as a treat, we opted for the premium suite with spa. We weren’t let down - it was amazing in the hot tub in the evening overlooking the church. The decor inside the hotel is lovely and they have clearly refurbished the place by modernising it but also bearing in mind the history of the building. The food was also amazing. We decided to get room service and it was fabulous. Breakfast was also fabulous in a beautiful room.

Everything was great

It was a great clean modern Hotel in an old Palazzo with a pool on the roof. Breakfast was a la carte and delicious. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. You can also have dinner and drinks there which also were delicious! Would stay there again and it is highly recommended!

Not much else around the hotel, more a residential area/neighborhood

Brand new and only 5 min to airport by Uber. Breakfast included and you order off a great menu. Beautiful building with great facilities and restaurant.

And now I'll tell you what we didn't like. First of all, we didn't like the mattress because it was particularly soft where you lay down it made the pit. What we didn't like was the breakfast and not because it wasn't good but because it wasn't varied. Maybe for those who stay a day or two, it's very good and even it is, but if you stay a week it's not very nice to eat fried or poached eggs or omelette every day. Whatever we ordered for breakfast had eggs in the form mentioned above. For this reason, I rate this hotel a 9.

We just returned from here we stayed a week it was great in this place with a few exceptions. Even though we arrived late there was an open reception. The hotel is just like the pictures, the staff are very friendly, nice and eager to help, and always with a smile on their faces.

The staff was remarkable. The chef was talented and very personable. He will prepare your meals what ever way you like. The wait staff are excellent and totally accommodating.

This property is exceptional, it is in on3 of the quiet villages of the south of the island. We only stayed one night because of its proximity to the airport.

Maybe the location is not the best, BUT… it’s 7-8 minutes away from Marsaxlokk (the famous port village in the South) and 15 minutes away from La Valletta, St Julian’s and Sliema. And it’s also 7-8 minutes away from the airport. So… it’s really worth it!

Everything! The palazzo is super beautiful. The staff explained its history when we arrived and we loved the reception. We also loved the size of the room and… the breakfast is EPIC! We are used to eat the breakfast as a buffet and this is á la carte but dishes were tasteful, beautifully presented and the quantity was also really good. You also have some fruit, yogurts and viennoiserie in a table where you’ll be able to take whatever you want.

This is the most gorgeous hotel I have stayed in Malta in my opinion in terms of design, restoration, and quality compared to other hotels I stayed including two Marriott hotels in St Julian’s, Ramla Bay Resort, Maria Rosa Suites in Gozo. The staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, even waiting for me for a 2am check-in and graciously allowing a late check-out. My top-floor room came with a large balcony facing the courtyard, a super comfortable bed, and high-quality amenities. The breakfast was delicious, served by friendly staff, and I particularly enjoyed a brief property tour offered by the supervisor, Themis. My short stay was absolutely fantastic, and I felt very welcomed. I will definitely return in the future and highly recommend this hotel for anyone that prefers to be away from the crowds while staying close to the airport and the southern coastline.

Exceeded my expectations. Got to give alot of credit to Thermis and the staff. They were all pleasant and lovely. Very polite and the service was amazing. Hotel was very clean and I love the decoration and furnishings. Even the location was great and made it easy to get to places
