Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenIt was pretty cold and noisy from the street. I think its missleading that they only have pictures of a big patio/balcony on here. The balcony I had in my room was much smaller but it still had a small table and 2 chairs.
The view is stunning. Kitchen is well equipped. Bus stop is close also a small supermarket. It takes 1 hour to Valetta with bus or 20-25 minutes with car. I needed help finding the main entrance on my arrival night and I got hold of the staff easily even if it was late.

United KingdomThe location. I needed to get public transport. Bus lines is very difficult to understand also time table never works properly. It’s a bit far from the tourist attractions, bars and night clubs. I were looking forward to have fun at the night time and visit the capital Valeta with easy access but this hotel is a bit far away from everything. I had to get taxi all the time to leave the place. If you have a car and want a quiet place this hotel is perfect.
The property was very clean, wonderful view from the balcony, nice small kitchen with appliances, lovely smart tv with Netflix and you tube. Very good internet all time. No need card to get access to our room which I love it. Don’t remember how many times I lost my card 🤦🏽♀️Here you just need a password

United KingdomOverlooking a busy road which was very convenient for public transport
Nice location overlooking the harbour with quite a busy road below. Public outdoor swimming pool 1 minute up the road to the back, great cafe/bar just down the road with good food and drinks

IndiaIt would have been great if the the property came with complimentary accessories to keep it clean. For example, we did not find any bath mats for the shower or room. Being a warm dry country Malta can be quite dusty making mats a really important thing. The kitchenette also did not come with anything at all. We had to buy everything from sugar, salt, tea, coffee and even dishwashing liquid and scrubs.
The location was great. Especially for people willing to explore the northern part of the main island of Malta. Bus stop is right in front of the property which makes public transport easier (though we mostly ended up travelling in Taxis for the most part). There is a convenience store about 50m from the property where you could get all your daily needs. The property has breathtaking views of the St Pauls Bay area and has several good places to eat within walking distance.

United KingdomHot water wasn't very hot most of the time. Also, the lift wasn't always working. Often stuck on the 5th floor. The front door was meant to be keypad operated but was difficult to secure due to a faulty catch.
Clean room with comfortable bed and a very nice view of the bay. Some nice local restaurants and a small supermarket close by.

United KingdomThere's a main road outside so it's a little bit loud.
The view was stunning, we could have stayed relaxing on the balcony in the sun all day! Nice big room, good public transport links, and restaurants within walking distance. Staff responded very quickly to messages and were very helpful.

BelarusIs was pretty wet in the room, our towels didn’t ever get dry. A shelf in the shower is really needed! The doors in the shower cabin were a bit broken. And also would add a large salad bowl to the kitchen inventory (We love salads, so we made them in a huge pot).
Comfortable room with kitchen and bathroom, nice view (although we weren’t in the room with the sea view). Hair dryer and iron, washing machine and dryer machine on the laundry room 👌🏻

BelgiumThe negative points were many so best to be forewarned: most importantly the outside nightclub below the bedroom window (no walls between their music beat & your window!). Fortunately (in March), it was not every night. If you're not a clubber, take heavy duty earplugs! The noisy road below the balcony was also a shame though we persevered & had breakfast out there a couple of times despite the noise. Note the island motorbike club meets down the road & loves to ROAR up & down until late at weekends. Beyond the noise issues, the apartment was adequately furnished though the twin beds were particularly lumpy and very uncomfortable. The bigger issue though was the water in the bathroom - with no shower curtain, it was hard not to get water everywhere even when being very careful, but we soon realized that the water running into the kitchen & through the wall of the adjoining bedroom was coming from under the bath itself not from the spray. We flagged the problem to the staff, but it was clearly a longstanding issue as the water damage in the adjoining bedroom wall was considerable.
What we loved: first & foremost the price for 9 nights at Easter was amazing! Then: the beautiful view of the bay from the balcony, the spacious apartment, the close proximity to public transport with bus stops right outside, the lovely roman road & Xemxija Heritage trail right behind the apartment building.

United KingdomThe water pressure was poor for the first two days, but on the third day, the pipes seemed to have been bled, and after a chugging of air came out of the pipes, the pressure was FANTASTIC (I didn't mention it as I assumed that was the normal water pressure in Malta).
Room 51 Port—The room, bed and balcony were a perfect size. The view over the bay was excellent. The kitchen was a perfect size; everything needed to cook was there. The staff and contact centre couldn't help enough, and they were always at the end of the phone when needed. A convenience shop 100m from the apartment has everything you need. Uber or Bolt services are available within 5 minutes. It's a great place to stay if you want to be out of the hustle and bustle of Biggiba/ St Pauls, but not be too far away from restaurants, bars, or scenic views. WILL STAY AGAIN!

GermanyThe fact that it was too loud coz it’s on the Main Street. Also I think it’s important to have a safety lock on the apartment’s entrance door coz there’s no way one can lock the door from inside and sleep peacefully. Since you enter in with a code, one feels unsafe that someone else might walk in so a safety lock would be a great idea like all the other apartments have them.
It was really clean, and the views from the bedroom and dining room were breathtaking!
