This little boutique hotel has been beautifully renovated to a very high standard and is situated in a quiet residential area but only 5 mins walk to some great restaurants. The roof top terrace had fantastic views and our room was tastefully decorated. The hosts and staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast choice was excellent and could be taken indoors or on the outdoor terrace. We stayed 3 nights before travelling to the North of the Island but wished we had stayed longer and will definitely visit again.

The smell in the room was awfull

Probably the nicest guesthouse I have ever stayed in! Very friendly welcome in a beautiful setting. All rooms have a different but typically Maltese interior. A beautiful glass elevator takes you to the open-air patio and further to the rooftop where you can enjoy an enchanting view over the harbor of Senglea/Birgu. You can even have your breakfast here if you wish. It is located on the hill of Senglea, a three-minute walk from "The Guardiola" where you have a beautiful view of Valletta, with "Upper Barakka" as the main prize. There are currently plans to build an outdoor swimming pool. The breakfast is very basic. We stayed in the room on the ground floor and were bothered by the stench... it smelled like mold/fungus!!!

The property was beautifully restored with traditional beams and lovely patterned floors. The furnishings and small touches were very well thought of. The property was exceptional. The hosts Eric & Michael were amazing too, nothing was too much trouble.

Michael, Eric and team were the perfect hosts! On hand to answer any questions and provide recommendations, but respectfully leaving you to enjoy your holiday. Breakfast on the roof terrace was spectacular. Perfect spot for exploring the three cities and Valetta. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will definitely return if we're in Malta again.

Absolutely loved this delightful property. Excellent communication before we arrived, charming hosts, and a quiet location 10-minutes walk from the speedy ferry across to the heart of the city. Handsome, spacious and comfy room, great breakfast, roof terraces with spectacular views over the Grand Harbour, and a choice of restaurants down on the nearby waterfront. Would you could find a spot like this in every city!

Nothing to dislike. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We chose Senglea Suites primarily for its location (near Palumbo SuperYachts), and then from the reviews on Booking.com. It is, without question, the best hotel that we have ever stayed in. A beautifully renovated building with all the mod-cons (including a lift), whilst retaining a traditional feel. There is a roof terrace where you can have breakfast, or take up a bottle of wine in the evening. The owners are fantastic hosts. Nothing was a problem. There are great restaurants and bars within walking distance, and the Uber drivers had no trouble finding the hotel (on arrival and departure).

We liked everything about the place.

It's a really nice place to stay. The owners are really lovely and they did an amazing job with the design of the suites, and throughout the whole place. They have a nice roof top but unfortunately we couldn't use it much due to the strong winds throughout our stay. Breakfast was good as well. Will definitely come back.

There was nothing we did not like!

Eric and Michael have managed to create an unique and cosy environment just out of the buzz, but with the city and great restaurants still within close (walking) range. We liked everything about the stay, from our room to the tasty breakfast (with view), to the advice we got on activities/food etc. We can highly recommend Senglea Suites if you are looking for a place with luxury, charm and good company from your hosts! A true gem!!

The breakfast was phenomenal! The made-to-order omelettes, yogurt with fresh Maltese strawberries, and plentiful local sweets were real winners! Michael and Eric are also incredibly engaged, caring owners/hosts. One almost feels like one is visiting family. We stayed in room 6 and I adored the tiles and the view over the harbour. There was such care put into selecting each design element. The hotel is truly a masterpiece!

Exceptional experience from start to finish. Everything was amazing starting from the very kind and helpful hosts and stuff. The highlight of our stay was the rooftop breakfast with a lovely view. The room was clean and comfortable. Overall staying at Senglea Suites was the best possible choice for our trip and we would definitely recommend them.

We were staying in the Hotel for 8 days. We had an excellent time in a really nice and clean hotel and we enjoyed the kind atmosphere with nice talks in the morning on the roof top at breakfast time. Thanks to Francis for the best omelettes we have ever had!

A beautiful hotel in a very good location for access to the 3 cities. The room was exceptional as is the hotel in general with plenty of very nice touches to the decor. Breakfast was very good and particularly nice to have the option of taking it on the roof terrace with beautiful views.

The only negative was that the room was a little too light at night - we couldn't get the shutters on the windows to shut properly, and light came through from the bathroom (where there was always a nightlight) and the hall, and each power point glowed red. So if you are susceptible to light at night, bring an eye mask.

Beautiful, small, personable hotel in quiet part of town. Our hosts were lovely, and the finishes in the room were superb. There was tea, coffee, kettle, fridge and coffee maker in the room, a comfy bed and a fabulous shower. With stone walls and ceiling, the room was very quiet, and it had the option of both air con for cooling, or heated floors in the winter.
