How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

hotel situated in the center of the city, close to resturants and all the main attractions. the room was modern decorated and very clean. loved the coffee machine in the room. hotel team was always friendly and helpful.

In spite of the design of the bathroom being very modern and luxurious, the bathtub is slippery and there is no enclosure to keep the water from splashing all over the floor. The floor tile is also slippery, which makes for a precarious clean up operation. That’s the only issue with the room.
The staff were great and extremely helpful. The location is ideal for exploring the historic part of town.

The room is rather dark during the day as it's in a small street with high buildings but it shouldn't bother as you will be discovering the beautiful island of Malta :)
The main room and the bathroom are not that large but rather functional, the bed is comfortable. We were offered a nice selection of products for breakfast. The hotel has a top location right in the center of Valletta from where you can reach all main tourist spots of the capital easily by foot. You can reach the hotel from the airport by taking the shuttle to the main bus terminal just outside of the city (Triton Fountain), then it's a straight 10 min walk to the hotel right up Republic Street. The hotel staff was the nicest and very helpful (lend us an adapter for example), really a big plus ! I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel !

The owner and his daughter are incredible hosts. Very personable and always willing to give travel tips and suggestions for Malts, if wanted.

There was nothing to dislike,had a lovely holiday
Mark,the Owner and all his staff really were very ,very good.Nothing was too much trouble and everyone had lovely smiling faces The location could not have been better We had a traffic issue on a day trip and Mark more than went way and above to sort it for us and made sure we were safe and sorted

No problems at all
All staff were friendly, professional and polite. Happy to answer questions and provide advice and help if needed. Good central location within easy reach of restaurants , shops and places to visit. Room was modern and had everything we needed.

Faultless.
We simply loved this hotel! A wonderful welcome from Kelton - clear from the outset that nothing would be a problem. Great location - brilliant base to explore Valetta. Loved the decor in the rooms, views from the balcony and such comfortable beds. Mark and Em also brilliant to talk to, very generous and knowledgeable. Such humility. Incredible how the team is clearly committed to excellence but at the same time the atmosphere is very laid back. a hard balance to strike. We rebooked to return before we even checked out. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you for having us!

All the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We arrived late and Em (at reception) called nearby restaurants for us to find somewhere still open with availability. She went above and beyond to make our arrival smooth and easy!

Some nights it was very noisy but given where we were this was acceptable. Breakfast was very good but strangely the hard boiled eggs were almost uncooked. There was no lounge area which was OK but detracted from an otherwise excellent hotel.
Very friendly manager and staff. Clean and comfortable. Rooms were excellent as was the bathroom. Location was in the old part of Valleta and ideal for walking around the city. Breakfast was very good (but see below).

Breakfast was good, If I can suggest anything it would be I slight improvement in cold cuts selection and fruit options.
The staff was really nice and incredibly useful, gave us tips and pointed us in the right direction. The room was clean, bright, and spacious with windows on both sides for perfect ventilation (room 14). there are free drinks in the mini-bar

I didn't like having to leave & come home!
We loved everything about this hotel. Everywhere was clean. The owner and staff go the extra mile to be helpful and are all very friendly, and very informative. Rooms are beautiful with a very comfortable bed & excellent bathroom. There were plenty of towels provided and the selection of toiletries provided, well all I can say is that they have thought of eveything from brushing your teeth to shaving, we even found in our room a little show shine & a sewing kit! You will also find in the wardrobe a hairdryer, an iron & ironing board. There is a minibar with soft drinks. There is a Nespresso machine in the room and a small kettle with tea & coffee and a bottle of water is provided and a new bottle is placed in the room every day. If you haven't been to Malta before or, as we hadn't, been for a long time they have 3 pin plug sockets so you won't be needing that travel adapter! They also have usb ports on the plug sockets next to the bed. Breakfast is a wonderful selection of breads, hams, turkey, cheeses, cakes, biscuits, cereals, yoghurts, fruits, boiled eggs & tomatoes. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in and on our next visit to Malta this is exactly where we will stay.

The room and the whole hotel were very clean, the staff was very nice with very good attention to the details. The hotel is in the center of Valetta, close to restaurants and bars. The breakfast was good and the food was fresh and delicious. There was a coffee machine in the room for a good start of the day.

The sound proofing in the building wasn't very good and the nearby bars and restaurants could be heard at night and similarly the traffic in the morning. Also the hot water in the show ran out twice during our stay which wasn't ideal. I found the breakfast to be quite underwhelming too - no hot food available.
