From arrival through to departure the Ursulino reception / service / breakfast staff were first class and very welcoming. The complementary bottle of wine was much appreciated. The breakfast was brilliant and service staff so efficient. Also, the Rooftop Deck was excellent and the view over the Grand Harbour was stunning.

During our 7-day stay some staff were less friendly— officious and curt rather than welcoming. Had this not been the case, our stay would have been so much more enjoyable. The view from our one window looked out into an unattractive (concrete) open shaft, and if the occupants on the ground floor smoked on their patio then the fumes rose up to the other floors. The written instructions to open and close the room safe have mistakes and are very confusing—unlike any other we’ve used—this created frustration and the need to call staff to use a master key to open. Access to the breakfast tables and beyond to the rooftop terrace is by a two-stage, tight, spiral staircase that is difficult to negotiate especially when carrying food or drinks. Not recommended for the elderly or those with mobility problems. We had to pay in full 10 days before our arrival, which was before setting off from Canada.

A good location to all Valletta and 3-City tourist sights. Clean, modern, smart building and room. Plenty of very hot water. Good variety of breakfast foodstuff including eggs cooked to order. Superb view of the entire harbour from furnished rooftop terrace.

Warm and friendly staff, very helpful, giving us info on places to see, things to do. A spacious room that was well appointed and with a very big bathroom The roof top terrace overlooking the Grand Harbour was a lovely place for breakfast or for a relaxing drink of an evening. Location was really good too, in a quiet street but only minutes away from the main streets of the centre of Valletta

The staff were so kind o” and helpful. The room was fantastic - comfy bed, lots of room, views of the harbor from our own balcony, even a kitchen. One of the best places we have stayed in. The complimentary breakfast was also delicious with many wonderful choices and a view of the harbor. All around a wonderful place to stay - absolutely recommend.

A towel rail for drying wet towels is the only minor thing that comes to mind.

If you have mobility issues (I have a knee problem) please note that there is a staircase to go for breakfast area and three steps to go to rooms. When I asked the Philippino girl for some extra cake for breakfast (to avoid going down two staircases) she told me to help myself and she cannot help.

The property is ideally located; in old town but far enough from the noisy main streets. Hotel and rooms were very clean. The bed was very very comfortable. The hotel and rooms are tastefully updated. The breakfast is awesome. Staff friendly and most helpful. The elevator was great. The hotel was the highlight of my stay in Valletta.

Ursulino is in a wonderful location in the centre of Valletta at the doorstep of historic sites and an array of restaurants. This up market boutique hotel is delightful in all aspects. Wonderful staff, delicious breakfast with a sensational view, quiet modern, clean and spacious rooms accessed by a lift. We could not recommend the Ursulino more highly!
