-Breakfast & dinner were almost same every day, we booked half board however dinner didn’t include any hot beverages like tea , they asked for additional payment though dinner was already paid. I could understand if it was alcohol . Don’t book half board -There are not many groceries nearby, need to walk 10 minutes at least

Rooms were clean, the resort is big and has a huge pool, nearest Flic en flac beach 10 min by walk. Thankfully staff prepared our rooms earlier than planned check in time.

We had half board but no drinks at all were included for dinner (breakfast had juice and tea/coffee). Booking for canoe etc easy enough but only free certain days. We didn’t get to try due to cyclone.

Breakfast and dinner buffet was varied and fresh. Staff were helpful and attentive when approached with questions. Location was gorgeous and easy to get around.

Beds were hard. Room was right at back of resort which was disappointing. Food was mediocre, not the nicest. Glad we booked B&B so that we were out mostly to eat Lots of flies so fans above pool bar would really help like they have at Villa Carolinas.

Pool areas were fantastic! Beach area was stunning and amazing! Rooms were spacious but dated. Staff were fantastic! always going above and beyond! Pool bar was well manned. Reception staff very helpful.

We didnt like that Check-out system and There was lack of Information on facilities for example the massage and spa on arrival. Also the garden was not very well maintained and food was not very hygienic. Thank you!

The Swimming pools with Sea view were amazing And we really enjoyed The cultural dance by the crew on Saturday.

Meet and greet / arrival at reception was really poor. I still stands out because it was so poor. There were so many staff at reception but none of them seemed to have a clue about what to do and it took way to long to sort out.

facilities and food on the whole were very good. We really enjoyed the pool / bar area and the rock pool in particular is fantastic for safe snorkelling.

The hotel has a spa which is lovely but found it was very overpriced.

The location of this hotel is amazing, right on the flic en flac beach and the hotel has a private beach too. The food in the hotel is good and the rooms are very nicely sized. We had an ocean view and it was beautiful to wake up to. For the price this hotel is very worth it and highly recommended

The room was a little small, while the balcony was massive. There wasn't enough communication regarding the meals - we were told they don't serve any vegetarian dishes at the burger bar but we found a couple of options on the menu. They don't accept a la carte for dinner and only serve buffet, which wasn't communicated in advance. We weren't given drinking water in the room because it was a "breakfast only" booking - again, this wasn't communicated in advance. We were charged Rs. 100 for a water bottle, which is just insane! In general, the communication policy can be better.

The location is amazing and the view from the property is unbeatable! The natural pool was beautiful and all the facilities were well maintained. There were a few really helpful staff who told us about the bus schedules and helped us with a la carte order and made sure we were comfortable.

A LOT OF NOISE IN THE EVENING AT THE NEIGHBOUR ROOMS, NOT ENOUGH TV PROGRAMS, BEACH AT THE SEA TOO SMALL,

When we arrived at 4pm, the room was not ready. It was ready shortly after doing the paperwork. When we visited the room, the cot bed was not there so the staff lady said she will ask someone to come and install it. After goind to the reception at 6pm and caling them again at 7pm, they eventually installed the cot bed just before 8pm. Also the cleanliness of the room is varying depending on the person doing it. Some are very good and some other seems not to care a lot. Very expensive for the experience we had.

The location of the hotel is good. The sea sight is amazing. Breakfast is ok, I would just appreciate to have more local food

Room was a bit dirty and need renovation. Also the meals very disappointing so we ended up eating dinner at other restaurants.

The hotel has nice garden and it is located next to the beach which is a bit rocky for swimming. Additionally the view from the room was nice. Poolside was also good and it had infinite pool atmosphere.

When I checked in at approximately 10:15pm, I was met by a reception guy who didn't really want to be working on this particular night. He was fairly rude and didn't really make me feel that welcome, considering I was staying in the resort for 1 full week. Once I got to my room, I called to order some room service as I was starving, and the menu in the room said that the full dinner menu was available until 11pm. (It was 10:35pm when I called) The menu also stated that late night snacks were available until 3am however when I called to order a chicken burger with chips I was told that the kitchen was closed and when I questioned the time of closure of the kitchen and mentioned the menu in the room stated otherwise the receptionist / room service attendant practically laughed at me and then simply hung up the phone. Later on in my stay, I needed to move rooms as I made 2 bookings for my 7 night stay. I requested right at the beginning of my stay if I could stay in the same room that I was already checked into, however, I still had to pack up all my stuff and move rooms. My new room was even $50 per night more expensive, and I told reception that I was happy to stay in the initial room that I was checked into, however, they still made me move. While moving rooms, I accidently left my linen laundry bag worth about $50 in the room that I was initially checked into and I noticed this almost immediately after moving to the new room so I went to reception to tell them this so that it could be returned to me however they couldn't locate it. Even after 3 days of following up. (It was basically stolen from me, and they didn't seem too bothered by this!) Overall, this was not the best experience, which is a pity as the resort is quite nice 👎 I should mention that generally the staff were pretty nice and friendly, it was really just the initial reception guy who checked me in that gave me a lasting bad impression of the resort.

Breakfast buffet was below expectations, and more than once things ran out in the breakfast buffet and would take a long time to get replenished. Getting someone to notice me and bring coffee (which wasn't self-service) was hard. Not so close to the Flic-en-flac public beach as I hoped (had to take the car or walk quite a bit)

Reception staff is very nice. Room was very comfortable and clean. Good structure overall. Pools and sunbathing areas are nice. Flic-en-flac is a good place to stay, with a great beach and many restaurants

Booking.com took our money and other than this review have never contacted us in regards to this situation.

We liked the idea of visiting Mauritius and were very keen to stay at the Anelia, but unfortunately the Mauritian authorities prevented our cruise ship from docking for two days and instead of staying at the Anelia we spent two days viewing Mauritius from off-shore. To be fare the Hotel Manager would have allowed us to slip our reservation, but the return flights could not be moved. Therefore we missed out on the opportunity of staying at the Anelia, although it looked to be a very attractive location.
