We loved the location. Property nicely hidden away and private but within very close proximity to the beach and a good restaurant (Bloom). Parking onsite. Good security. Very pretty, well maintained gardens and pool. Great room cleaning service included daily. Nice welcome supplies in the fridge. Although we didn’t use it, useful honestly drinks. We absolutely loved our stay at the Blue Bird. It felt like the perfect hidden little spot yet walking distance to Pereybere beach, a modern cafe, a rooftop bar, supermarket, and bus stop. We loved watching the beautiful birds on the balcony at breakfast. The staff are very warm and friendly and they do a great job making you feel very welcome and keeping the rooms and grounds cared for every day.We really hope to stay again!

There was nothing we didn't like or complain about

Absolutely everything. Joanna and all of the staff were so welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The studios , gardens and pool were beautiful. Really comfy bed and very clean with towels and bedding changed regularly and the studio cleaned daily. Joanna let us know when the public holidays were incase the shops closed early and kept us informed about the cyclone that was on its way. Will definitely be back. A fabulous place. We had the best time 😊😊

Didn't real impact our experience, but the kitchen could have some minor maintenance (drawers difficult to open). Overall the house is very modern and well equiped, with a beautiful decoration.

We stayed 8 nights at Blue Bird, in the family bungalow, and it was exactly what we were looking for. Little oasis, very quiet as it is only shared by a few families. It's a 5 min walk to Pereybere beach and 8 min to the closest supermarket. We rented a car and explored several other beaches in the area, and also did a few day trips (Port Louis, Ile aux Cerfs, Flic en Flac, Chamarel). Joanna is always available and in the property every morning. Cleaning happens every day except Sundays and public holidays. Bread provided in the morning upon request. Fridge with some basic supplies for a first meal was a nice touch. Also, Joanna allowed us an early check-in and late check-out which was highly appreciated. The family bungalow is very comfortable, it has 2 double beds and one single, ideal for our family of 5. A/C available in the 3 rooms. There are also 2 toilets and a kitchen, as well as an exclusive meal area by the pool.

Bluebird was a perfect base for exploring the Grand Baie area. Close to Pereybere beach, easy walk. Also close to Grand Baie central area. Staff were excellent, Joanna was superb in her communication and the baguets each day were a super touch! The accommodation was great, right by the pool, super convenient. I would certainly stay at Bluebird again.

Joanna is really nice! She helped us With everything. The stuff cleaned almost every day which was really nice. We were able to take drinks at any time as well as fresh baguette in the morning. The owner and stuff are really caring and made us feel Home. Thank you and we would come back!

We stayed one week in the villa with our 5 year old son and loved everything about the place: the friendly people, the lovely pool, the fridge that was filled by arrival, the two friendly doggies, the beach around the corner, the cleanliness, the late-check-out without any extra costs, etc. THANK YOU SO MUCH Joana, we hope, we can come back one day :-)

Great location very close to Pereybere public beach and few meters from a bus stop. The apartment was clean, the pool was taken care of every day. Everyone was really nice and we even had some basic staple food prepared in the fridge. You can also buy watee, beer and coca cola on spot. Really good value. And we loved the dogs!

Beautiful compound, very nice staff, everything clean, 5 min to public beach by foot, 10-20 min to grand Baie or amazing beaches (Mont Chosy, Troux aux biches) by car or motorbike, public bus, taxi.

Very comfortable and clean room, the kitchenette had everything we needed, and the garden was beautiful. Just a few minutes walk from Pereybere beach and the restaurants, and a few minutes away by car or bus from Grand Baie, so the location is great. The staff was fantastic. We will definitely come back.

I would've preferred to have done my own laundry. They charge for laundry service, which wasnt hugely expensive but its the convenience of being able to do my own, that i would have preferred

The quaint thatched roof villa was gorgeous. Kitchen is a little dated, including utensils etc but good functioning oven, coffee machine and kettle. The staff were amazing and so helpful

Nothing really to complaint

Beautiful property a few minutes drive (around 4-5 minutes) from grand bay. The villa was really comfortable and big enough for a family of 5. I highly recommend the property.

No TV in any of the rooms. Actually a good thing since most hotels/apartments in Mauritius have TVs that offer only few free channels playing rubbish so I welcomed the opportunity to read and watch the box sets I downloaded. The kitchenettes are basic and really just adequate to make simple breakfasts and sandwiches and salads but adequate if you don't want to eat out everyday and need to prepare light meals.

Smart and modern ground floor studio apartment in an elegant building in local style. EXTREMELY friendly staff. Nice welcome from Anthony the owner. Wendi and Joanna were exceptionally friendly and helpful and my room was cleaned by Josie who was very thorough and very friendly too. The room was large and airy and clean with a small Kitchenette and small shower room - perfect for one person. I was there for work so didn't use swimming pool which was inviting and looked very pleasant and clean. The sea was a 5 minute walk away but again I did not have time to visit but from past experience it is a small lovely beach but rather spoilt by the overbuilding of the surroundings.
