I had an excellent stay, shared between moments of teleworking and vacation. The staff were attentive and really friendly, flexible and accommodating. We were very well received, simple check-in and check-out. Breakfast lived up to expectations. Both the room and the hotel were clean and faithful to the descriptions, value for money, which seems to me to be the main thing. Thank you again to everyone for these good times and we look forward to coming back.

The room has a strong old dump cellar odour (sea side with high humidity), the was not another room free, so we had to stay in this room. Air Conditioning + room dehumidifier solved most of the problem. Bedding linens are made of Polycotton, so bring your own if you prefer cotton. Sliding window panniers on a terrace were very “seaside dirty” (salt + humidity), same for restaurant panels. This was mentioned by someone in a review, so bring windows cleaning wipes, the view is worth the effort .

We stayed 3 days in a room nr. 5 with a sea view. Beautiful “old bones” with a vaulted ceiling and lovely vintage bent wood & rattan furniture and a small terrace. The see view is spectacular and is literally 10 m to the sea straight to coral reefs.

The back family rooms are across the road and don’t have a beach view, but are still comfortable. Quite a few stairs if that doesn’t suit you.

Accessibility to the beach and the cleanliness of the place was great. Good location. The room was small but satisfactory for the short stay we planned. The garden and the entire guest house has a very good vibe and friendly atmosphere.

The reception staff is unmotivated and lacks in friendliness. They barely say hallo they dont answer email requests and they know little about the area.

The rooms are good. The Beach is awesome - better snorkling than around the corner in Blue Bay proper. Breakfast is not worse the money at all.

on the groundfloor, room 2, the LED light is too bright, wrong color. better use light of 2600 Kelvin. Makes the place much cosier.

The kitchen was not quite well equipped for cooking. It lacked some basic ingredients like oil or salt, which you don't want to buy when you come for three nights. I would have appreciated a welcome bottle of water like in all other apartments in Mauritius. The restaurant belonging to the accommodation didn't quite have a good selection of food, especially if you don't eat meat and eat healthier. The restaurants in the area were similar. On my last day I had a mouse in the apartment :/ You could understand, after all we are on a tropical island. But it didn't get in through the door, but through a hole in the kitchen sink, which is not pleasant.

Very nice accommodation. My apartment was right next to the pool, which was nice. The beach is really close to the apartment, as is the bus stop to Mahebourg. The apartment was clean, well equipped, working air conditioning, cleaned regularly. I can recommend it for myself.

No hand towels or tea towels provided. Tea and coffee are not replenished daily. Windows in the dining room are not cleaned daily. On arrival, I was not informed of the swimming pool across the road and the use of a hair dryer or ironing board.

The hotel created confusion at the airport with the taxi pick up. I had booked a taxi on booking.com I had only informed the hotel of my arrival time yet they also arranged for another local taxi so. there were several people holding a sign with my name on it waiting for me . The incorrect one , the first I saw, told me to wait outside as the taxi driver was finding a place in the car park . After waiting for quite some time I went back into the airport for a signal to contact the pre-arranged correct driver . He was dissuaded by the other taxi personnel and once again I was directed to take the incorrect driver - I suspected something fishy and I told them I have already paid and that I was not going to pay again - at that point they backed away and allowed the correct driver to take me.What also concerns me as the correct driver was not prepared to stand his ground perhaps knowing that he would be paid via booking.com anyway !

Breakfast could be more varied. Dinners were cancelled twice because not enough guests and we were sent to Spot cafe. Quality was not the same and also loud music. We wish to future guests that it will be up to their choice, either take the selection of Spot cafe or being reimbursed for money paid in advance.

We liked the garden and restaurant with sea view where we enjoyed breakfast with birds sharing our meals, also romantic dinners with ocean view and waves crushing. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Receptionists could have been a bit nicer and more interested in their guests (they could have asked questions: „How are you today?“, „Any plans today?“, „Can we help you with something today?“ „How was your trip“…. Mostly, I just got a „Good morning“. That was a bit „sad“. Doors need a better/saver lock. I was a bit afraid that someone would break in in the middle of the night, emergency mobile number wasn’t working even tough it said 24h. Ps. Be aware of the bar right next to some of the rooms. Loud music until 11:30 pm. But the music is amazing and mostly live ;)

The room we got first was just freshly cleaned (in general a positive thing) but to us the cleaning products they used smelled strongly/agressive. Since we had some concerns about this we asked for help and got offered two alternative rooms to choose from. With this uncomplicated and courteous solution we were happy in the end.

The location of Chantauvent Guest House at Blue Bay is great. It offers a combination of relaxing beach days including snorkeling, ping pong and some drinks & food. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. What we would like to highlight is the friendly personal that helped us whenever we had a request regarding the room, potential trips or anything else.

We saw a few cockroaches on the ceiling for 2 nights and went to bed with the lights on. It's quite normal when you are in a tropical island!

The location was great, we got the beachfront which is a few steps to the beach. Staff are friendly and you can rent snorkeling gear for free.
