Slightly outdated bathroom

Amazing location and wonderful friendly staff. We were travelling with a small baby and everyone was so accommodating, making the trip so easy! Wonderful water sports and great food! Would definitely return!

We liked that hotel a lot. It is really small and cozy . But still with the great restaurant and views. And good spa ! The stuff is very nice, cute, hospitable, attentive and do their best for your comfortable staying. Everything was really good and we definitely would have stayed at that hotel while next coming to Mauritius.

The room could do with a good renovation specially based on what the rate is per night.

Well for starters we were appointed one of the best room within the resort, Room 14 facing the ocean and having the sandy beach on its door steps was magical. The resort is very intimate which is exactly what i needed to unwind. The breakfast menu is not a big one but enough to choose from and eat healthily. The staff are friendly and helpful and will always serve you with a smile.

Everything was perfect as we wished.

An incredible small hotel. Only 16 rooms so it’s very small, as there is not a lot of rooms it feels you get a bond with the staff who were incredible!! Nothing asked was an issue We stayed for 3 nights over New years & they threw a really good party with food & fireworks on the beach for the guests. The hotel is beautiful and right on the beach. The beach is one of the best ever seen. The white sand & colours of the water The rooms are big and have everything you need. Would highly recommend this hotel. Ask for room 14, the best sea view you could ask for!

Dinner ordered a-la-carte and some meals were ordinary and not hot (had to ask for the curries to be heated up).

Location excellent, right on the beach with great facilities including free glass bottom boat access. Staff were very friendly, a little issue at times with language barrier but nothing that couldn't be overcome. Breakfast was good but would have been better if cereal options were available.

We had a great stay. There is a supermarket and some restaurants nearby. It is easy to explore the northwest of the Island. The stuff was friendly and we enjoyed the evenings at the beach.

Beautiful island resort decor as shown in the pictures. Fine white sand, genuinely helpful staff, tasty fresh breakfast buffet with made to order items and Illy coffee. Free glass boat was great. Everything is done in a thoughtful way to give a quality experience to the guest.

Great stay in a boutique hotel! The reality coincided with expectations: the hotel is cozy, well-groomed, beautiful. The rooms are different, but each has a terrace or balcony. Our room had a kitchenette which was very convenient. The hotel staff is attentive, we felt cared for every day. The beach area is clean, sandy bottom, convenient entrance for swimming, plenty of space for walking. We recommend to everyone.

Meals are on the expensive side - 1500MRU per head is much more than what most decent restaurants in the area charge

Best place in Mauritius to stay in! Trou Aux Biches/Grand Baie is an awesome location and a stay in Sakoa Boutik is the cherry on top. Such a tasteful and beautiful property - it simply blends in while providing all kinds of luxuries. The rooms are huge and have all the amenities that you could ask for, with a big verandah to chill out in the evenings. The direct access to the beach and the facilities provided on the beach by the hotel is so convenient that it kind of spoils you because you start expecting this kind of treatment everywhere (and quickly realize it's only the expensive lux resorts that do this). And a big bonus - some of the water activities are already included when you stay with them. Simply let them know what you would like to do and when.

The food wasn't good. We are quite fussy eaters but improvements could be made here.

The setting was fabulous. The sea views and being able to safely swim in front of the hotel. Stunning. Staff very friendly and caring.
