It has an exquisite stunning views. Beatifully well kept neat garden. Swimming pool is beautiful. Dominique and Donald are exceptional hosts. Cleaning are done daily which is absolutely amazing and refreshing to back to a clean unit everyday. An unforgettable experience.

The accommodation and service couldn't be better! Just a warning aside the reviews - Google Maps show non-existent routes and paths. It is possible to get lost.

Best Booking accommodation I've ever had. I highly recommend it! Dominique and Donald were friendly, accommodating and always helpful. They were waiting for me upon arrival, showed me around and even drove me to the supermarket so I could do my shopping as I didn't have a car. The accommodation is nice and comfortable. It has a beautiful garden with a view and an amazing pool. The room provides everything you could possibly need. Moreover, every weekday the room is cleaned perfectly by the cleaning lady. Really top environment and servis. Just a recommendation - I would definitely rent a car next time. You can also travel by bus but it's a longer distance. Thank you again to my hosts!

No negative comments about the accommodation. Tamarin itself was a disappointment. Fortunately, Dominique directed us to a lovely beach in Le Morne.

It was a dream - Dominique and her husband are such lovely people. The apartment has everything you need and the garden with the pool are so beautiful. What we enjoyed most was the great view for sunset.

Everything! I did really enjoy my stay at Hillside Haven. The owners are gorgeous, super friendly and helpful! I felt super comfortable and will come back for sure. If you plan to stay at Hillside Haven it is really recommended to have a car as it’s located quite uphill and e.g. walking to the next closest grocery shop takes around 20-30 minutes. The accommodation is perfect for relaxing. You can enjoy the ocean view and great sunsets. Furthermore, it’s a calm area which is also perfect for calming down after an adventurous day. Everything was perfect.

We stayed at Hillside Haven from 6 to 13 May 2023. It was the 6th time that we visited Mauritius but this was definitely the best accommodation. The hosts, namely, Dominique and Donald are fantastic people. On our arrival we found that Dominique had stocked our fridge with the necessary proviant to kick off our stay. For example, bread, butter, milk, etc. At the same time Donald assisted us with the barbeque and made sure that the fire was ready for braai. There is a swimming pool that was silver clean and we could enjoy sundowners with the most beautiful sea view. The Super U and other markets ran out of Coke Zero, but Dominique was so kind and supplied us with a bottle of Coke Zero and Pepsi. The cleaning facilities were fantastic. Being aware that it was difficult to draw big amounts at the ATM's, within one day, Dominique was so kind to allow us to pay the account in two payments. We want to thank Dominique and Donald for their hospitality. We had a very pleasant stay at Hillside Haven. It felt like our home and family.

We had an amazing stay at Dominique and Donald's! The apartment is very nice and fully equipped, even has a small garden to be used privately, we had lovely dinners and breakfasts there. There is a pool overlooking the sea, the view is amazing and we had a great time swimming and having aperitivo by the pool. The owners live upstairs, they have been very welcoming. They also have 2 dogs, who are lovely and well behaved. Our stay at Hillside Haven has been the best of the whole holiday, we strongly recommend staying here and hope to be able to come again soon! Just one note: we loved the great view and the quiet surroundings, but it should be considered that the house is on a steep hill, so a car is needed when considering staying here, amenities cannot be reached by foot.

I cannot put into words how much we enjoyed our stay at the Hillside Haven. The property and the gardens are so well maintained, clean and just beautiful :) The owners treated us as if we were part of their family, that’s how it felt…always willing to help, kind and welcoming. The location is stunning and quiet, there were colourful birds and flowers everywhere, no stray doggies (which sadly can be found almost everywhere in Mauritius).

One of the best studios in Mauritius. An extremely well equipped studio with everything you could possibly need. Dominique thought of EVERYTHING. Clean, modern, comfortable and welcoming. The garden is immaculate with a spectacular sea view and mountain backdrop. Our wonderful hosts, Dominique and Donald, made us feel welcome, going above and beyond.
