Enjoyable place managed by wonderful family. Great localization for whatever excursion you would like to do on the east side, warmful atmosphere, where we're feeling like family members. Exceptional care about the guests, tasty breakfasts with delicious croissants baked by - you guessed - one of the family members (brother). There is also accessible drinkable water all the time and possibility to book some boat excursions and about 2 more parking places than you can see on map (I believe about 3 in total). We hope to return to you some day!

There were several different levels within the apartment and at one point I forgot and tripped. Maybe a ramp could be set up? Also, there was no electrical outlet where the desk was so we couldn't charge the computer.

Surprisingly nice! We were greeted with nice, cold juice. Breakfast the next morning was lovely. The rooms were very clean. Very glad we stayed there.

Accessibility, the spiral staircase was a bit of a challenge especially with suitcases.

It was conveniently situated. The staff were very nice and the breakfast was excellent.

Beautifully decorated apartment with all the things you need for a comfortable stay. Jessica is extremely helpful who goes extra mile to make your stay pleasant. Really good recommendation for restaurants, day trips and beaches. I stayed with my daughter and we had a really wonderful stay and I highly recommend this place! Really good for solo travellers too

The hotel is very stylish and new, with perfect attention to detail. I was there during a complete lockdown because of Cyclon, but the hosts did their best to accommodate my needs. A nice family is running the place.

There was no hot water and very little water pressure when we tried to take s shower in the morning and evening. However, when we took one midafternoon, it was perfect. The platform bed was difficult to get in and out of.

The owners were incredibly helpful. They made dinner reservations, called our car rental company for us when we had to extend the reservation, helped us with booking tours, etc. When we experienced a cyclone and had to extend our stay, they were willing to shuffle reservations so we wouldn’t have to move. Our room was spacious and charming. More than we were expecting. The village itself was charming.

The power went off for some time but it was during a stage 4 cyclone. Candels and torches were provided so the property did the best they could.

Location was brilliant beautiful beach and village just a stones throw away. The bedrooms were very comfortable with great aircon much needed in the hotter months.

The breakfast is the same every day, but I guess that's only an issue if you stay as long as I did - 6 nights.

Jessica, Jenika and the rest of the team are really lovely people. They were always happy to do what they could to make my stay as pleasant as possible and to offer local information and advice. For example, they alerted me to the fact that, on the night Chez Tino - the biggest of the neighbourhood restaurants - is closed, it would be important to make a reservation at one of the other restaurants because of limited capacity! The room was small but nicely decorated and had a nice big bathroom. The breakfast was substantial and tasty. The food at Chez Tino was good and really liked Green Island Beach Restaurant, but I thought La Case Poisson, right opposite, was hugely over-rated!

Parking space is limited, lots of stray dogs in the streets.

The hosts were really friendly, great atmosphere, good breakfast and good rooms. Very close to the beach. I can recommend staying here for a couple nights and then staying somewhere in the north as well to experience both sides of the island.

Absolutely amazing stay! The family that owns this B&B is so welcoming and friendly, they always tried to help me, give advice, contact details for local taxi etc. Delicious breakfast every morning. Beautiful rooms, short walk to beach and local restaurants. Felt like part of the community. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to experience the true Mauritius.

A gem of a guesthouse! Jessica and everyone was extremely nice and helpful during my stay. Jessica even lend me her Yoga mat when I mentioned I was planning to do a session on the terasse in the morning. The breakfast is really excellent with homemade croissants and pain au chocolate. Ask them about the boat trips they do with Tino Boats (you get a discount if you book over the guesthouse). Fab restaurant (la case poisson) directly opposite to the guesthouse, Green Island Beach Restaurant a few minutes down at the beach also very nice! Stunning from A to Z - really recommended

The area around Trou d'Eau Douce & my stay at La Koquillishe was the best part of my 16 day stay on Ile Maurice 😊. I fully appreciate every bit of creativity that Christelle, Jethika, Jessica and their whole family put into the decor in the rooms & the outdoor area's - everything is fantastic & beautifully curated. The breakfast is also simply sublime...and far too much for 1 person to eat alone! So delicious...thank you🙏 As a solo-traveller, I felt safer than in Flic en Flac, Port Louis or Blue Bay and I was never approached by any punters or taxi drivers, which really allowed me to completely relax & enjoy my peace & quiet on the beach both days. Also... must mention 2 absolutely fantastic restaurants - La Case Poisson, where the freshest fish just smacking of the sea, is grilled on an open barbecue (you must make a reservation!) - & Green Island Beach restaurant, where I had a delicious Mauritian version of Bouillabaisse & a huge, colourful fresh salad. One definitely has to eat at these restaurants...both within walking distance of La Koquillishe. Thank you to the La Koquillishe team for an absolutely wonderful stay. I will definitely be back again 😊

Nothing really. Our only disappounment was that they weren't serving dinner which we were looking forwards to as we'd heard great things.
