The breakfast was awesome with so much variety, we absolutely enjoyed breakfast and the excellent service from the Chef Niven. He made the most delicious omelets and crepe's. The dinner we had on one of the nights were just as delicious and an amazing surprise. The presentation was on point and the 3 course meal was absolutely delicious and well priced. We highly recommend Maison du Nord and now we understand why they have such an excellent rating. It is well deserved. The staff really exceeded our expectations. They were always taking care of us even for the smallest things. They also organise excursions, restaurants suggestions and reservations and sometimes they organise Mauritian dinner (very good!!!). The breakfast buffet was rich and various with many options (sweet and savory) and a lot of fruits. The swimming pool was always clean. Additionally, they have a night guard providing a big sense of security. Private parking is available.

The staff is really friendly, the breakfast is delicious and there is a good variety of food. In case you rent a car, there are parking spots inside and outside of the residence. Moreover there is security 24/7. The pool is nice too. We will come back when we have the chance. A great experience.

Absence of decoration in the room, it feels empty. Kids not allowed before 5 we did not know but after discussion with the staff they finally accepted us. Keep this mind if you have young kids.

They also have one of the best priced packages and car rentals to explore Mauritius. We highly recommend to book your stay with them if staying in north or as your first visit to Mauritius

I'm nitpicking here, but the rooms could be a bit more cozy, and in general maybe a bit less white light throughout the place. Maybe other guests didn't mind so much, but I personally wouldn't mind a bit less funeral-like music during breakfast :-D

The staff was super friendly, and the room was spacious and had everything you need. The breakfast was very good, eggs and pancakes were made for you on the spot, and there was a good selection of fruits.

Maison du Nord is a charming, intimate hotel in a beautiful garden. We had a fantastic ground-floor apartment with tropical plants rustling outside our window. The hotel features a pool perfect for cooling off on hot days, with parasols and sun loungers. The breakfast is delightful and light. However, the standout feature is the staff — they are accommodating and helpful. For instance, I requested an expansion of the breakfast menu to include a dish that aligned with my dietary needs, and the following morning, I had exactly what I wanted to eat. The fresh fruits are also delicious. The reception is well-equipped with everything you might need. It's worth inquiring about excursions. The surrounding area is residential, with a few restaurants and shops nearby. The nearby Mon Choisy beach is excellent. You can reserve sun loungers there, and delicious food is available on-site. I highly recommend this place and the entire island of Mauritius!

The only disadvantage is about the sea, that it is quite a distance away. However this is something you know when you book the place that there is no direct access to the sea. Maybe offering taxi services or having a shuttle might improve to perfection :)

The place is fantastic. The staff is really making effort to make you feel welcomed and taken care of. We have been offered welcome drink, got help with our luggages (the only place where we - 3 ladies - got help) and we just felt great. The breakfast was delicious and swimming pool nice. This absolutely magical hotel is the only place you should choose. We already miss the extremely pleasant staff, exeptionally clean, big rooms and the wonderful tasty breakfast with fresh fruits and bakeries. We stayed there for two weeks and are still memorizing every lovely moment we had there, you really have to visit this place to truly understand the magic! Thank you for a wonderful stay. Absolutely loved this place. The staff were beyond AMAZING! A big shout out to Raj! Everyone was so helpful and the rooms are huge. The breakfast was the best, enormous and really delicious. I cannot recommend this place enough if you want to be based in the North. We had a car which worked well as it is a short drive to the beaches. There is also a great secret beach nearby too. Highly recommend!

It’s good to understand that the hotel is situated in a middle of a residental area, where buildings are separated by high walls and sometimes with electric fences. No direct beach access. Distance to Grand Bay ”center” is 3km, to Mon Choisy beach 1.5km, and to the (highly recommended) Trox aux Biches beach 5km. The bed was too hard for my taste, and the other room could have had a sofa (they said that because the place was opened in 2023, they are still working on it). All in all, still happy to recommend it for a great value!
