It is good to have a car, location wise (but we did so we had no problem).

The quality of the matrasses on the beds could be improved and it would help making your stay more comfortable. We arranged with the hotel for a transfer from the airport but this was not done, but we managed to arrange a taxi to the hotel at a slightly higher cost.

Breakfasts were excellent and suppers when available were also great! Proximity to the beach & shops could be a little closer but there was a daily shuttle service provided. The staff were really helpful and always friendly and made you feel welcome. I asked for a ground floor room and this was provided.

Room was really clean, spacious and the bed was unexpectedly large and comfortable Location is really nice, a bit remote, surrounded by a lot of nature; each morning I was waking up with birds singing The staff was really nice, friendly and helpful; they recommended us some nice restaurants nearby, a very nice beach for sunset and some tourists attractions

The breakfast was awesome with so much variety, we absolutely enjoyed breakfast and the excellent service from the Chef Niven. He made the most delicious omelets and crepe's. The dinner we had on one of the nights were just as delicious and an amazing surprise. The presentation was on point and the 3 course meal was absolutely delicious and well priced. We highly recommend Maison du Nord and now we understand why they have such an excellent rating. It is well deserved. Thank you Noor for your fantastic high level of cleanliness in your rooms, the cleanliness is impeccable. Thank you also to the owner Vishnu, you are hands on and the way you lead your team is commendable, you have a fantastic team in Noor, Shweta, Sanju, Oumesh, Roshan, Vandana, Raj and the Chef Niven. The staff really exceeded our expectations. They were always taking care of us even for the smallest things. They also organise excursions, restaurants suggestions and reservations and sometimes they organise Mauritian dinner (very good!!!). The breakfast buffet was rich and various with many options (sweet and savory) and a lot of fruits. The swimming pool was always clean. Additionally, they have a night guard providing a big sense of security. Private parking is available.

The staff is really friendly, the breakfast is delicious and there is a good variety of food. In case you rent a car, there are parking spots inside and outside of the residence. Moreover there is security 24/7. The pool is nice too. We will come back when we have the chance. A great experience.

Absence of decoration in the room, it feels empty. Kids not allowed before 5 we did not know but after discussion with the staff they finally accepted us. Keep this mind if you have young kids.

Small size hotel, feels like home and cozy. Comfortalbe and large room Breakfast is delicious, lot of variety and fresh products ! We had a very good stay, very refreshing !

We really liked the overall experience being provided by the team. Special mention to experience team Shweta and Vishnu. They also have one of the best priced packages and car rentals to explore Mauritius. We highly recommend to book your stay with them if staying in north or as your first visit to Mauritius

I'm nitpicking here, but the rooms could be a bit more cozy, and in general maybe a bit less white light throughout the place. Maybe other guests didn't mind so much, but I personally wouldn't mind a bit less funeral-like music during breakfast :-D

The staff was super friendly, and the room was spacious and had everything you need. The breakfast was very good, eggs and pancakes were made for you on the spot, and there was a good selection of fruits.

Maison du Nord is a charming, intimate hotel in a beautiful garden. We had a fantastic ground-floor apartment with tropical plants rustling outside our window. The hotel features a pool perfect for cooling off on hot days, with parasols and sun loungers. The breakfast is delightful and light. However, the standout feature is the staff — they are accommodating and helpful. For instance, I requested an expansion of the breakfast menu to include a dish that aligned with my dietary needs, and the following morning, I had exactly what I wanted to eat. The fresh fruits are also delicious. The reception is well-equipped with everything you might need. It's worth inquiring about excursions. The surrounding area is residential, with a few restaurants and shops nearby. The nearby Mon Choisy beach is excellent. You can reserve sun loungers there, and delicious food is available on-site. I highly recommend this place and the entire island of Mauritius!
