this place needs solid cleaning - for the first time I took pictures to document hotel room; it's not about daily maintennace, its about CLEANING (please see the attached photo of the desk, similar with bed tables... its IN the room, not outside ) I would prefer high quality self service breakfast rather than the set menu with few options to choose from

The WiFi in my room was terrible to say the least, and as this was a work excursion, I had to stand in the passage on may occasions to receive and send emails. The WiFi would also drop suddenly which depleted by available data on more than one occasion as I participated in Teams calls. The TV stations are also limited and a family would not be impressed if this is meant for entertainment.

Location of the hotel is good, with easy access to the beach and facilities. The lunches and dinners were of a very high standard and value for money.

- You have to know that there is no breakfast buffet, so you can't eat until you can't walk anymore (of course you can always order some more food if you pay more), but for us it was enough. At breakfast you are served, everyone gets a plate of fruit and 1 crossant and 1 chocolate pastry and you can choose a meal from the menu (there were about 10 options if I remember correctly). We tried almost the whole menu and everything was really good! - Theres not much around so if you dont just want to sit in the hotel pool or on the local beach you need to have a car or pay for the taxi and have at least 30min drive (which isnt that bad tbh).

- It's more of a relaxing hotel - You have a great view from the pool and the beach on site ended up being our favourite beach in Mauritius (not crowded, very clear and you have a shade right in front of the water - great). - We really enjoyed the food in the restaurant! I was a bit scared after reading all the bad reviews online, but it really was fantastic! We actually ate here 4 nights out of our 8 nights because the food was just delicious. The prices were a little higher than other restaurants nearby, but it was also clear that the quality of the food and service was something different than the other - cheaper - restaurants. And at the end of the day, the prices were fine. -Its a very small hotel so no activities from Hotel side are offered. - Mo-Fri 5pm-7pm theres a cocktail happy hour- yayy :)

Too much noise at night from the outside.

It is a nice hotel, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The sandy and public beach is right next to the hotel, and the location is amazing for sunset viewing—a clean, nice room. The food is good; there is no buffet for breakfast, though, and the choice is only based on the options offered.

Only thing was the meal plan. We were on HB (breakfast and dinner). Food quality was good. Breakfasts were great-varied selection (8-9 options). However, diners were very disappointing. Surcharges for some appetizers, most diners (6 of 8 had surcharges) and even some deserts! Now perhaps a surcharge for 1 or 2 main dishes if very extravagant , but for 6 of 8 menu meals!?! The only 2 "included" meals being pasta dishes with no meat - was an extreme letdown. Again, there should be no surcharges for any appetizer or desert on only for 1 or perhaps 2 "over the top" diners - none of the menu qualified for that level. We checked with friends at another resort (same resort level) and they had no such restrictions. That was a true letdown. It needs to change.

Room was a good size and clean with nice decor. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Small problems with our room were attended to very quickly when reported. Outdoor pool was large and clean, outside lounges were always available. Setting was quiet.

Food could definitely have been more varied. Breakfast was limited but to be fair a simple rquest did open up more possibilities. Maybe add them to the menu Mystic manager? No table & chair on the balcony was disappointing and seems an easy win. Also the hotel doesn't have much in terms of other options around in the area in terms of bars and restuarants leaving you a bit captive to the rather limited nightime Mystic Experience.

Fantastic pool and bar area with a cracking view of the ocean. The upstairs bar was great for the sunset. Staff were very good especially the guy at the front gate during the day - sitting in a sweatbox for 12 hrs at a time he still had a smile and a kind word. We got hit by the typhoon and the staff were very considerate and professional in getting guests through the difficult time.

Quite loud music from the public beach and nearby hotel every evening until midnight. Breaks the peacefullness in evenings when relaxing in the room.

The options when it comes to Breakfast - you have to choose from an Al'aCarte menu with 5 options - 1 of which was not available during the stay. Facilities are basic - pool, beach - that's it. Hotel boasted about a DJ / Pool party on the weekends - but there wasn't one. Nothing to do with the Hotel - however its nice to know before you book - there isn't a variety places to eat near the Hotel - you would have to drive / take public transport to Grand Baie or further up. Some Hotels nearby refused us to have dinner at their establishment.

We enjoyed the fact that the hotel was right on the beach. Staff were super friendly. Close to the public bus stops.

The breakfast was á la card of 6 options which are 3 sweet breakfast and 3 savory breakfast. It's not a place for people who like to have a good breakfast cause the size of the portion.

This Hotel is next to the public Beach of Mont Choisy. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel employees were very friendly and helpful.

Balcony no views (when booking it said garden view, but you see a palm and back of another building) Only one chair in the room, we would have expected two chairs and a small table on balcony Internet in the room was not to my expectation, lost connection on phone and laptop all the time.

Fixed breakfast opinions. No sea view from the room, even promised.

Clean nice rooms. Pool and surroundings very comfortable and appealing. Food was great! Breakfast only 5 opinions… you get bored pretty quick! Staff in super-friendly. The surroundings between the hotel and the sea are so full on palm trees, that there was no sea view from our room!😅 Views from the pool and terraces are great, beautiful sunset👌

- Slow service at dinner and breakfast (at least 45-60 min at breakfast, 90+ min at dinners). I have never experienced a service this slow in any of the hundreds of hotels I've been to. - No water or any other included drink at Half Board system — never seen this before. Usually, at least one drink of choice is included, and water is provided by default. - Cockroaches of various sizes were spotted in the room and on the balcony multiple times. A red balcony chair (even though old) leaves red paint marks on clothes. Be careful! - No change of beach towels for the whole stay of 9 days. Probably, we had to ask for this. Also, sunbeds at the pool were not cleaned regularly: every morning they were covered in yesterday’s sand and often — bird droppings... Though I had no problem to clean it all myself. - We got the room with a heavily leaking conditioner leaving large puddles of water on the floor and some of our things. It took 3 days and 3 maintenance attempts to fix this. No official apology from the hotel was provided. - A "quiet room" was indeed far from the restaurant, but it appeared to be situated just above the parking lot and a pack of dogs barking at nights... This is understandable, but keep in mind that the beach party on weekends probably won't let you sleep either. In other words, it's not exactly quiet 😄.

+ The hotel has lovely exteriors and décor of public areas. + Swimming pool is quite nice. + Dinner HB menu is diverse and interesting to explore. Bread at dinner and croissants at breakfast are simply delicious! + We were lucky to get an early check-in at 11:30 am (instead of 2 PM) with no extra payment. Greatly appreciated. + There's also a free option to use the hotel facilities, including public shower, after check-out. This is very helpful when the hotel is booked and no late check-out is possible. + The DJ on Fridays and Saturdays is awesome! + Bar on the top floor is beautiful and the staff there is great, every barmen welcoming and efficient. + Security staff at the hotel entrance is super nice and friendly. Ladies at the reception are really nice, too, even gave us a repellent when we went to the Botanical Garden. Thank you for caring!

3 out of 5 days I didn't have breakfast. One morning we waited for 40 min for food and the other morning I ordered waffles with nutella and banana out of which they didn't have banana and instead of nutella I got just a pinch of bitter chocolate. Rooms, especially bathroom should have a proper cleaning, as well as curtains (i don't think it was washed ever). Also, no proper door for bathroom, only slide door which can't be closed.

The view was great and they also have guarded parking space. Location is also nice and close to everything if you want to explore the island. People are nice but there is definitely place for improvement.

The bathroom in the rooms only has a sliding door which doesn’t provide much privacy. The bed was hard and not very comfortable. Breakfast option was limited and the ones on the menus weren’t the best but the complimentary pastries and fresh fruit that came with all the breakfast were pretty good. The music from the restaurant and roof top bar was quite disturbing because we had our room right next to the restaurant area and the music was on pretty much the whole day from 7am to 10pm.

The view from the restaurant, roof top bar and lounging areas was amazing! Staff were very nice and welcoming. The cleaning of the rooms was good and we were left 2 bottles of water everyday. The lunch and dinner menu has good options and no complaints about the food we tried, it was all good. We had a late flight so they let us stay on the hotel grounds to use the lounge and communal showers which was great. The location is very convenient. Mont Choisy beach is right next to the hotel and can be accessed just with a few minutes’ walk from the rear of the hotel. There’s a bus stop just outside with route to Trou Aux Biches, Grand Baie, Pereybere and Port Louis. Saved a tonne of money from using the buses instead of hiring private taxis.

They don’t give you every day fresh bed towels and beach towels, if you ask everyday they give you right away. Bedding is also not changed everyday, maybe just when they need to, but that is okay. TV was not working, the hotel doesn’t have the direct access to the beach where you can go for a swim you have to walk 300 meters or more and there is big public beach.

Staff was really nice and food also really good. Pool was clean and also nice garden near the hotel. Ventilator in hotel was really nice and air conditioning, but when the night starts you shouldn’t leave your windows open and maybe turn on lights, because small lizards com inside and they don’t want to go out. Really nice greetings and fresh juice and refreshment towels.
