breakfast was ok, but dinner was a little disaster. Sorry, but you should change the chef. The food was really flavourless (even curry), the ingredients do not match (white fish with sweet jam), some dishes do not match to the recipes (creme brulee, greek salad), lack of sauces, the fish was too dry or too raw, no salad buffet. Lobster evening doesnt worth additional expenses: dinner consisted of three dishes made from one little lobster. I was succeeded to have warm wine twice and prosecco without bubbles. Instant coffee in the room should be taken out.

comfy beds, nice beach, perfect massage. It was pleasure to have very early breakfast before flight and it was served perfect. Water bottles in the room. Pleasant personal, sometimes too slow ( in the restaurant), but its ok:)

The alcoholic drinks were very expensive - a small glass of very ordinary wine was £10. Service was variable from very good to very indifferent. The daily evening buffet was quite good but if you want a change and go to the Plantation restaurant the credit wasn’t great for those on half board. Also the food at the Plantation wasn’t anything to write home about. There are some sailing boats for guest use but I was told “I couldn’t use them today because of the coral” Not entirely sure what he meant as there were plenty of speed boats in the water!

The hotel would need a minor refreshment. Due to the bad weather they cancelled all the outdoor activities but did not offer an adequate compensation. It was funny since they explained is that they are cancelling everything (snorkelling trips, etc.) but that we have to pay extra for the halfboard of our 5year old child.

Very nice surrounding, rooms are are of timeless design and it is beachfromt with a small coral reef for snorkelling. The staff was nice and helpfull.

Not much. A coffee shop would have been an extra bonus. The appetizers at the a la carte restaurant (The Plantation) were lukewarm, not hot; the main course and dessert were excellent.

(1) Outstanding choice of foods ar buffet meals. (2) Unobtrusive service. (3) Calm and laid-back atmosphere. (4) Size, decor and comfort of rooms.

There was some active construction near the tennis courts and also some maintenance work being done in the lobby during the daytime, which somewhat detracted from the ambience. I wondered whether there might have been another time this could have been done - especially since late October is an ideal time for visitors. I would have liked to be able to order 'proper coffee' at breakfast rather than getting it from a machine.

Hugely accommodating and friendly staff who could not do enough for us. I was travelling with two 13-year-old girls, and they both had a marvellous time. The spa accommodated them for some treatments. We were all incredibly sad to leave. Staff were helpful in arranging excursions and transport. Overall, a beautiful experience.

The beach access is weird, no privacy. Locals keep coming and selling souvenirs. It was annoying. I wish you provide the mask for snorkelling not just the boat tour but for free use for your guests. During dinner we noticed a cockroach in the nut bowl. I managed to catch it and kill, informed the staff but they seemed indifferent to that.

If I have to pick something it’s probably that the beach towels were too big and somewhat heavy. But this is only a mild complaint!

Celebrating mums 80th birthday week, service was excellent, check in & out was done by Lovena, she was fantastic, booked us a special dinner with a cake for mum. Overall the staff was great from cleaners to waiters. Will definitely come back here .

We loved everything about The Residence!! This place was immaculate, beautiful, peaceful, friendly. We loved it all. So much choice at breakfast and dinner. Attentive and friendly staff. Lots of choice of daytime activities. And the sunrise...that just makes it. I'd definitely recommend The Residence.

The access to the beach not possible unless you walked down sandy banks, the steps were unavailable due to the lack of repair following erosion. The food was excellent and well presented, but the lack of western style vegetarian dishes could present a problem to vegetarians that did not eat Asian food. Perhaps a modification to the egg station at breakfast needs a review as people were uncertain where to stand for placing orders, in addition at busier times there was a queue that impeded the flow through the buffet.

The restaurant staff were not very helpful as we expected on a hotel at this level. The hotel need to improve the gardens, specially the one in front of our room, it looked dead. More gluten green options during breakfast.

The best thing of this hotel is the staff! Seeing in our travel period the occupancy was under 20% we stayed a week and a big thanks to all the staff.Without them no hotel no hotel is anything! We were greater daily by the breakfast team with a wonderful breakfast buffet! Many thanks to Julie,Yasmin,Jessica,Bandana and our Chef Moonsamy who probably makes the best omelette we have tasted! The evening restaurant team and bar always made sure everything was fine with a 5 star rotation buffet menu! Special thanks to the Chef Sanguy who always had a smile for us and a small story! The whole kitchen team was fabulous! The hotel has many features and we enjoyed the beaches there and the pool! The rooms are spacious and the housekeeping crew with the floor butler looked after everything perfectly! Front office staff were very professional with concierge and the gardeners look after the property so it was a pleasure to enjoy the nature! I can recommend this hotel to travelers who want to relax and enjoy sophisticated food and service! My wife and son will be back and thanks to all involved to make our week stay memorable!

Too much assistance from butlers. Each day they introduced themselves to us to offer their services. This is not a bad thing but we prefer less attention. Too much rain….
