Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe only one slight negative thing I would say is that one of the lamps in the lounge room did not have a globe in it, and I like lamps rather than ceiling lighting. But it in no way ruined my holiday :)
The size of the apartment, it was much bigger than we expected. The apartment was styled beautifully. Love the spacious undercover outdoor area, and the fact that the TV came with Netflix which was great for "down town" especially with young children.

IrelandThe private pool was supposed to be cleaned weekly on Thursdays, but it wasn't in the first week. We booked the option with breakfast but were informed that it's not available when we got there. We had to go to a nearby restaurant - Bloom, which was OK but way more expensive than the 50e that we were reimbursed with (for 4 people for 2 weeks). 50e was practicaly one breakfast at Bloom for the 4 of us.
The apartment was very spacious, modern, and well equipped. The outside terrace was an additional benefit. It was clean, and the cleaning lady - Pamela - was very accommodating. The rooftop pool was great for chilling, and the big shared pool for swimming. The owner was checking up on us regularly, and the communication was quite open.

GermanyVilla Eden is a wonderful spacious quiet apartment with all the amenities. The sunsets and sunrise from the rooftop pool are awesome and we liked the fact that no one can look into the apartment as the houses to the east are far lower down. This is a great place for a stay on Mauritius not far from Grand Bay and we can definitely recommend it.

NetherlandsLocation wise if you like to stay most of your time in the North it is good. If you want to visit the South as well it is quite a drive all the time
Beautiful appartment with everything that you need to feel at home. Big plus is the private swimming pool on the roof. They also deliver breakfast every morning. Complex also has it own pool.

The penthouse is beautiful en very spacious. The pool and the bbq on the rooftop is perfect to spend the day in the appartment. Pereybere public beach is within walking distance (about 15 min).

South AfricaKI Residences was not 100 % complete during our stay. This is a new development and the contractors are still doing final touches - however, should be completed soon.
Good location - not too far from Pereybère beach and Grand Baie city center. The villa was clean, neat and had everything we needed. The gas bottle for the Weber was missing, but was delivered during our stay. The villa is easy to access and the pool on the upper deck is absolutely awesome - many relaxing hours can be spent there. The host is polite and communicated well with us, even sharing some information on local activities to be on the lookout for. We had an enjoyable stay and will definitely return.

EstoniaI booked this place and the host contacted me saying that they could not promise me that the place would get cleaned in time for me and if I would be willing to stay in an uncleaned place. I then asked to cancel the booking as I did not have time to wait for them to figure our whether or not they could get it cleaned in time. Once again I emphasize, that they said that they could not promise me that the place would get cleaned. They refused to cancel and refund my booking. The host was very rude and not at all accommodating and frankly I feel like I got robbed of my money.

United Kingdomthe swimming pool was dirty when we arrived, and we had to wait 3 days till it was cleaned so we could use it. then the hot water didn’t work for 7 of the 10 days we stayed at the property. The TV remote was missing batteries and we informed the home owner but ended up having to purchase myself. the lights on the balcony/dining area were not functional and there was insufficient facilities to stop insects, there were lots of insects and mosquitoes. when the hot water stopped working the host sent me the number for the electrician to get it sorted - that is ridiculous when charging so much for the property. this should be the responsibility of the host
