Immaculate rooms, beautiful garden with plants, family atmosphere. The owner (Musa) was incredibly nice and helpful, answered all our questions immediately & he was flexible with the dates of the tours. We only requested breakfast because we wanted to try restaurants on the island, (once we requested dinner as well) - the food was fresh, delicious and had a variety every day. For breakfast there were fried eggs, boiled eggs, tuna salad, flatbread, toast, mini pancakes or french toast, sausages and fruit. There is a clean water recharger at the hotel where you can recharge your bottle anytime - but they also provide you a bottle of water every day. Cleaning can be requested daily. Bicycles were provided free of charge at the accommodation, we went to the beach every day by bike. Snorkel masks and flippers were also provided. This is an observation, not a minus. The building across the street is a school. They start class very early (around 6:30 you already hear the children outside). If you like sleeping late, you'll have to close the balcony door. This wasn't a problem for us because we had to be up for breakfast and the beach after that.

If you plan on staying in Thoddoo, I definitely recommend Chillax. The hotel is situated in the center of the island with a 15 minute walk to either of the two Bikini beaches. The rooms are cleaned everyday, fresh towels and bedsheets are provided every 2-3 days. The staff is friendly and ready to help if you need anything (you can borrow bicycles, snorkeling equipment, beach towels). Food was delicious but be sure to be at breakfast/lunch/dinner on time because it disappears fast :D We had a great vacation here.

Perfect accommodation for our vacation. During our stay, everything was perfect. Everyday the bed was made and when we were coming back from the beach we had the AC turned on in the room. The garden it is very beautiful and the yard is full of green plants, a complete paradise. As a welcome drink they gave us a coconut, which was delicious. They offer free bikes, towels for beach, masks and fins for snorkelling, water, nescafe and tea free all day. The room was very clean and very new. The road to the beach is amazing, full of palm trees. We chose to have the full board and the food was delicious, always tasty. We book by them the transfer with speedboat from Male to the island and also booked a trip to swim with manta and sharks, snorkelling and sandbank and it was perfect! We really enjoyed that we booked via them, they took care of everything. When we arrived from Male a buggy took us to Chillax. We really recommend staying at Chillax, Musa and his help are very friendly and eager to help you and make you feel really good that you are on vacation.

Everything was great! Musa and the staff was extremely helpful, arranged everything for us, all the transfers. Breakfast was delicious. The little tropical garden is beautiful. We got free bikes. We loved cycling around the island and among the coconut alleys and papaya plantations. The room was spacious and clean, with a nice little terrace. The restaurant next door was extremely good and relatively cheap. The island and the beaches are far more beautiful than on other islands due to the reef around the island, very good for swimming and relaxing, enjoying nature. Thoddoo beach is very clean, with showers and toilets. It is 4 minutes by bike, 10 on foot, the road leading to the beach is also beautiful.

The Owners Musa and Shamveel were super nice and helpful for anything we needed in the island. The Hotel is providing free bicycles and snorkel set to the guests along with traditional food and a nice ambiance to the guests. Very convinient place as price performance.

There was nothing that we would not like. Only one thing that comes to my mind is the nearby mosque was pretty laud and even the nearby school with a lot of children was pretty noisy. But this is something, that the owners cant influence.

Both Moosa and Adam were very helpful and friendly and were always willing to help us. When we needed to change the breakfast, they prepared other meal for us. Other than that, the room was nice and clean. We received 2 bottles of water every day and we had everything we needed. I could highly recommend this accommodation to anyone.

It is guesthouse, not hotel, so any kind of remarks would not be fair. This guesthouse are almost near doing the best possible.

It is family run guesthouse. And they do it properly. Food is great, especially local dishes and fruit. Snorkel equipment and bikes are free. It is reasonably clean, you shall get beach towels. Main front desk person, Musa will be ready to give you information, help in any logistic issue, organize excursions or solve any problem. Overall it is nice. Village shops are nearby, beach is 5 minutes by bike. Sun beds are relatively scarce on sunset beach, so go early morning and take good sun beds. If you visit Thoddoo you will share experience of real life Maldives. It is affordable, very good for recharging. It is not luxurious as the resort, but beach and sea life is fantastic, local fruit too, and you feel spending time in real community. And you will enjoy Maldives for fraction of resort cost

I liked everything.

The hole place had a really nice vibe. The garden was amazing, the room was clean and well-maintained. The customer service was excellent, the owner was really helpful and kind. The breakfast was delicious and fresh every time. They also provided additional programs like snorkelling and night fishing which were amazing. There was also an option to have dinner at the accomodation. The portion was really big and the food was really tasty. All in all this accomodation is one of the best place I’ve ever stayed. Thank you chillax Thoddoo for making my vacation unforgettable!

It’s new guesthouse in which we had excellent stay for 9 days! Room and bathroom were clean, bed was soft with 4 pillows - very comfy to sleep each night. We didn’t have any problems with Internet, possible to work and watch Netflix on laptop. Each morning we had Maldivian breakfast which was really yummy + yogurts, fruits, good coffee, juice. Chillax located in the centre of island, so fast to go to both beaches. 1 minute to supermarket and restaurants. Possible to use bicycles and snorkelling staff for free. Room cleaning was practically each day even when we didn’t ask. No unpleasant smell in the room (problem of a lot of guesthouses in Maldives). Good hot shower. Musa was friendly and helped with any questions.

Me and my fiancee had an amazing stay for 10 nights. Special thanks to Moosa who is the host of this wonderful guesthouse and who supported us 24/7 starting at early booking stage till check out. Everything was made real quick in terms of requests (speedboat transfer assistance, PCR testing, bicycles and even cash exchanging) Breakfasts were good, nice quality and variety. Many thanks for this to the Moosa's brother (sorry forgot his name) who was in charge. Great guest house location right in the middle of the island made our way to the beach and all the cafes and restaurants around much closer. Room is spacious with all conveniences. Cleaning is every day with the linen change every 3rd day. In general guest house is new and everything looks really modern. Number of rooms are not that great which is good, its vey quiet there. Overall 10/10, definitely recommend this place with pleasure!

It’s a very nice place to stay here and enjoy your holidays at Thoddoo island. It’s newly built, so all rooms are fresh and crispy clean. Very important moment - you can use for free bicycles, which make your island life convenient and take a mask for snorkelling.

For breakfast it would be good to cover the food to avoid flies. Natural fruit juice would be nice.

Communication was excellent from initially placing our booking, negotiating the intricacies of airport to speedboat island transfer, which required a few phone calls to our host on Thoddoo, and finally being met on arrival by friendly staff at the quay side and electric buggy ride to our guest house. The rooms are pretty new, spacious and cleaned regularly, and well equipped with AC, fridge, kettle, hair dryer, TV, towels and beach towel, shampoos and soaps and terrace drying rack for costumes and towels. Bicycles and a good selection of masks and swim fins are provided free of charge.The garden was very pretty and well maintained. For breakfast an adequate buffet selection was provided, but better monitoring by staff could have avoided repeatedly asking for this or that to be refilled. Specific food requests were invited and provided. Top marks to our host, a water treatment unit is provided at reception to refill your water bottle free of charge, so there are no excuses for using throw-away plastic bottled water. The location is in the middle of the town with plenty of local restaurants to choose from. The beaches are no more than a five-minute cycle ride away. If you are considering an excursion, but also planning to travel to more islands, I would recommend that you arrange it with our Chillax host on Thoddoo. We registered our interest in a manta ray, shark, coral excursion. Our host organised a trip on the best weather day of our stay in a small boat with 5 others, thereby avoiding the ‘arrival in a crowd’ dilemma of travelling in a larger excursion boat. When we later moved across to Ukulhas island we were pleasantly surprised that our snorkelling trip had been a fraction of the cost to the same locations offered from Ukulhas. New Year’s Eve was celebrated on the island with a complementary seafood platter dinner followed by an extremely well organised local cultural music event, DJ and fireworks.
