How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

One instance when the elevator didn't work and the staff accompanied us to the back of house stairs to reach the 6th floor. It could get challenging getting a taxi yourself but the hotel reception are always helpful with that
Located in the center of Male. A few walks from the main road with close proximity to restaurants, shops, hospitals and other establishments. The rooms are clean and spacious and they offer in-room service.

Toiled in the lobby had an awful smell.
The hotel is clean, not far from the ferry. Good for one night stay.

No shower cabin or curtains in the shower so when you had shower everywhere is all wet.
Nice room but balcony is just across the other building. Staff is helpful

They could give you a choice for the complimentary breakfast. Outside the rooms the facility was not very clean especially on the emergency staircase.
The staff was very helpful and kind. The facility is ok. Complimentary breakfast was ok. The balcony is a nice thing to have, the view is not the best, but at least you can open and let fresh air enter.

The bathroom had a strong smell, not sure if it was from the cleaning products or a diffuser. It was clean though.
Nice, comfortable hotel in the middle of Male. Great AC, and has a wonderful resturant. The staff are amazing. The rooms are clean

The response was quite slow in replying to questions. I asked about a pickup from the port but only got a response after we had stayed.
The room was nice and clean and the shower was good. There was no view from the balcony but we weren’t expecting it in the middle of Male. It wasn’t too far of a walk from the port where we were dropped off to the hotel. We stayed one night before going to another island. Room had everything we needed although we couldn’t get the tv to work.

Everything was fine. Remember is very crowded city. It can be very annoying. But this has nothing to do with the hotel.

Was here for three nights for work. The room looked out onto a courtyard with a large tree which was nice, and pretty peaceful. The prayer call from the mosque nearby was very loud an hour before sunrise. I think you have to embrace these things in a Moslem country, so that's not really a complaint

There are 2 Flora Hotel on Google Maps. The location shown for Flora Inn Hotel not accurate, instead the Flora Hotel is actually Flora Inn.

Not the properry’s fault but therr were works going on all day just outside my window.
Very nice staff, close to mcc ferry terminal to airport and atols. Restaurant inside.

A bit noisy - you can hear others in the corridor. Construction directly opposite the room. Lifts took ages to arrive so often took the stairs.
Good location, clean. Decent food downstairs and snacks for good price. Room was small but typical for Male.

Smell of the bathroom and noise, taxi fee was too high , 15 USD instead of 5-6 dollars for regular taxi for short distance

Weird smell in the whole building, including the rooms. And no isolation between the outdoor street noise to the inside of the room, you could hear everything as if you had an open windows.
Good location, in the center. Price was ok in comparison to other hotels. Personel was polite, greeted us with mango juice and helped with the suitcase to our room (they have an elevator)

There are two hotels on the island with the same name, or at least were. We went all the way up with suitcases to a wrong hotel. This one was on the other side, we needed to catch a taxi, which is strangely difficult in such busy streets.
Hotel is good for sleepover when waiting for a morning speedboat. It has its own small restaurant and it is located near the busy streets. Overal the hotel is good.

The room is not very spacious but yet comfortable

The room what they give me was small And the shower was not flexible cable Shower and not working good In there web all the rooms has flexible cable shower but not in my room In the morning lady Mamita give me another Room to shower so the problem was resolved
