I decided to spend my 27th birthday at Ahmed's guest house - it was the best decision!!! 27 Pluses why Ahmed : 1)he organized Transfer from Male to the island & back 2)helped us with heavy suitcases 3)greet us with a delicious breakfast &welcome drink 4)incredibly beautiful house with a garden 5) 5 min walk To the beach 6) There are sun loungers on the beach from our house 7) you can water your feet- not to bring sand into the house 8) The floors are shiny-not a grain of sand on the floor 9) Towels are crystal white 10) Daily cleaning is absolutely gorgeous! 11) Lemongrass always smells nice 12) The bathroom is excellent - hot water, summer shower, tap with water for feet, shampoo&shower gel! 13) Drying rack for clothes 14) Wi-Fi 15) Air conditioners &ceiling fan 16)Ahmed’s wife cooks deliciously, and Ahmed always represent with love all the dishes prepared by his wife 17) different menu: traditional Maldivian, European, Indian, Korean 18) always various exotic fruits of this island+ freshly squeezed juices 19) Coffee, tea, sugar, milk, sweets for tea - always available at any time of the day 20) If you need help, he will answer 24/7 at any time of the day or night. 21) The house has information stands, magazines with ALL types of Maldivian fishes corals 22)Ahmed organized magical, unforgettable excursions: to the turtle reef, sunset with dolphins, fishing. Our hosts did their best to help us with everything, really flexible, kind and helpful. The bed is huge and confortable, room had lots of space and was really clean, amazing breakfast! United KingdomGreat place to stay. Local flights were arranged for me from/to Male and I was met at the airport by a taxi. The Inn is less than 10 minute's drive from the airport and less than 10 minute's walk to the beach. Its set in a quiet area. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. There was loads of amazing food (half board was great value for money). The team were really friendly and helpful. I was able to see manta rays in Hanifaru Bay which was amazing. Mr Ahmed called when he'd heard there were 15 of them in the bay so I could return from the beach to see them, rather than visiting on days when there were only 3. Highly recommended.

My stay at the hotel was incredible, the owner and all staff are very helpful with helping book domestic flights and picking you up at the airport. All food was brilliant and tasty, huge portions and they're attentive to food allergies which is re-assuring. The trips to see Manta Ray and other reefs were great, surrounding marine life and the closeby beach were lovely. All trips booked at ease with the hotel and you go out on their boat! Internet worked well and was able to work when needed.

We have been to the Maldives for the first time. We have been eyeing manta rays for a long time and finally we stayed at Dharavandho Island for 12 nights. The Gasthouse Hanifaru Transit Inn is not big, but has everything you need. The room ist modern and comfortably furnished, very clean, quality mattresses, excellent pillows, snow-white linen and towels. The food is not very varied, but always fresh, always fruit and dessert, barbecue once a week. A pleasant surprise awaited us on our birthday - delicious fish, a cake and congratulations from the whole family. All agreements with the Gasthouse Owner Mr. Ahmed were carried out very cordially, punctually, always in a good mood. Bikini beach is 5 min. leisurely walk. On the beach there are sun loungers, you can put in the shade under the trees. Every day in the morning (before lunch) a large flock of dolphins swims very close several times (they play very beautifully and jump out of the water). Great trips to turtle reef, sunset with dolphins, swam with manta rays and whale sharks twice. There are a lot of positive impressions. We can fully recommend the island and the guest house.

The host was most helpful in booking domestic flights, excursions and boat transfers to other islands. Room was spacious and clean. The halfboard meals (as per previous reviews) home cooked and served were so wholesome and delicious...better than the other local food places on the island we had (for lunch). Best value guaranteed!

Everything was simply perfect. Ahmed and his family-run guesthouse is the best we could imagine. Ahmed is helpful, well-organized and so reliable. We booked 2 tours (sandbank, shark reef) and it was a dream! - couldn’t have been better. The sandbank tour was so amazing that we did it again on our last day. Ahmet and his son Baasim built us up a shade tent there, gave us a cooling box with drinks and food and picked us up again in 4 hrs. We were alone there and felt like being in paradise!!!! Ahmed‘s wife is a wonderful cook - soooo Yummi!!! Even the employee Shakil was so nice and helpful. Hope we can return one day …

RomaniaFrom the moment you walk into Dharavandhoo you feel the peace embrace you, and when you arrive at Hanifaru Transit Inn you feel like you don't want to leave, you are at home. With these thoughts we left this wonderful location, thanks to the people on the island and especially to Ahmed and his family who were like a guardian angel for us throughout the holidays. Cleaning is done daily and is exemplary, towels are always changed and you also have beach towels. The rooms are elegant and well equipped, you have a safe, the beds and bedding are very good, the water is always warm, the bathroom is clean, a very beautiful garden where you can dine. It is offered whenever you want free water, coffee, tea, excellent wifi, great air conditioning, the scent of the room scent is inviting and relaxing. We had breakfast and dinner with which we were conquered, Ahmed's wife makes wonderful local food, and the children were delighted with all the sweets and juices they made. Another varied assortment was served every day and everything was great and much. The reservation for the domestic plane to the island was made by Ahmed who changed it for us when our flight was changed. It has always helped us to feel safe and comfortable. We had bicycles that we rode with, which Ahmed helped us rent. We went on trips where Ahmed took so much care of us and showed us the wonderful underwater life. Everything I needed was fixed immediately because Ahmed and his family are professionals. Ahmed is waiting for you from the arrival and I will guide you until the departure. We are sure to return to Hanifaru Transit Inn for snorkeling, to practice and teach children in scuba school, for the mantle season and because Dharavandhoo Island and Ahmed's guest house are places you always want to return to because of the facilities on offer.
