Everything! Slightly further away from male which was good for us away from the airport. . Perfect for our honeymoon. Prices of activities and food very high but similar to the competition. We loved our beach bungalow with private pool in lieu of upgrade to sea bungalows. We loved the bang and olfsen sound system to play our music, our butler didi, the friendly staff, the beach the sea life sharks and turtles. The food was all amazing too. Gym on prominade. The underwater spa. Thank you.

the Island is quite close to the airport, clean, many many activities to try. the staff were super friendly, professional and at your demand. our butler Younus was the best, he made sure our stay was smooth and up to the par. he met our every need and proactively supported us with activities and the spa. the team at Celsius ( Sujeewa, kessi, suaid, Ramiz) were absolutely gracious and professional and very friendly!

United KingdomIn the low season I think there are too many staff to guests, so they were over attentive when I would of liked a little bit of less interruptions. I know getting the balance of attention is not easy and everyone is different but for me I would have preferred less.
It was a very welcoming, thoughtful and professional resort. Many of the staff were exceptional and the Spa is out of this world. From the moment they pick you up to the moment they wave goodbye nothing is too much trouble.

IsraelThe cons: _ interior design of the room, a bit outdated but we still really enjoyed it. _ two islands on the horizon from pool area, one sandbank with many cargo ships around it and one further with high rise buildings, they damage the view a bit at first but you get used to it after a few days. _ Low quality bread, pastries, vegetables and fruits at Celsius restaurant _ Multiple times we saw plastic (bottles, small plastics etc..) on the island beaches and in more remote places of the island, the hotel should have 2-3 employees patrolling all the beaches during the day and clean up as much as possible, I am sure they clean once a day in the morning but unfortunately it is not enough.... That should be a priority of the hotel to clean any plastic ASAP for the guest to never notice it. _ High ugly antenna on the island (i think for internet and cable TV) that you can see from some area of the island, kills a bit the magic when you have it in sight. They should hide it more with high trees or make it smaller. we overall had a wonderful stay and would really recommend the island for honeymooners it is magic! Also we traveled end of April/beginning of May and had some very windy and cloudy days for the last part of our stay, I would recommend to travel between December and April to have the best weather possible (more magic moments when there is no wind and the sea is flat without any sea current)
We spent a week in heaven for our honeymoon, we enjoyed every moment and got to experience many magical moments on the island! The pros: _ Quick transfert from the airport so from the moment we landed in male airport, we checked in in our room an hour later, a big Plus! _ Laid Back vibe and design of the hotel, amazing vegetation on the island. _ Shuzaan our butler was perfect, his service was spotless! _ Great service overall _ Ocean bungalow was great comfort and really spacious with the best views especially during sunsets, really recommended! _ Good pizza and tasty fish (Tuna and Reef fish) _ Salt restaurant: quality of food, staff, ambiance and view WOW!!! _ Excellent reef for snorkeling with many colorful fishes, sharks, turtles and mantas. _ Very beautiful beaches with crystal clear water around the hotel with many ones where you get the beach only for yourself _ Great dive center with Musto that has been an excellent coach for my first Dive.

Hong KongNot much. Prices, especially private dining and excursions, are fairly steep so clarifying ahead of booking can help avoid sticker shock. "Standard" fare at the restaurants was slightly hit or miss at times, and portions are often absolutely massive by any standards. Limited room service menu. Few child-friendly facilities and little night time entertainment, but largely irrelevant as this is not the resort's key target audience in any case...
Stunning island that fully lives up to its "dream island" billing. Close enough to Male airport to make the transit a breeze, but far enough to avoid the endless seaplanes, boat traffic, and light / noise pollution from the capital, which is only just about visible on the horizon. Huge, well appointed and clean rooms (we stayed at the lagoon bungalow), thoughtful and personalized service (special thanks to our butler Yoonus), high amount of privacy despite the resort being relatively full, great food (the private / destination dining experiences are generally worth the premium), great house reef / local wildlife and unique wow factors (underwater spa, underground wine cellar, saltwater flotation pool, infinity pool, private dining and sunbathing spots dotted throughout) all add up to an unforgettable honeymoon experience.

United KingdomFood not as good as last time. Perhaps the pandemic and new management have not quite found their mojo yet. Need to improve the food offering. Also, it used to be adults only but now children allowed, which is shame.
Second visit to Huvafen Fushi and it managed to still be special. Not quite as good as the first time (under new management) but the facililites excellent. Beach bungalows better than over water rooms. Gym, spa and yoga over the water which is spectacular!
