Although the hotel did a lot of efforts with fogging against mosquitos we got quite a few bites so anti mosquito spray is a must if you come to maledives. The trips organised were quite expensive for a group of five. We did the excursion to the sandbank with snorkeling and turtle island and we paid more than a thousand dollars for 5 persons. Also the dives were pretty expensive around 160 dollar for a dive for 1 person so for a family it was quite expensive. We had booked full board but no drinks were included only water.

We liked our beach villas which were close to the main restaurant and pool and had a fabulous house reef to snorkel. They were connecting family beach villas with a double door in between. The rooms were cleaned twice daily and our bed was beautifully decorated with flowers on several days during our stay. Many thanks to Mr Razib for this! We had booked full board and the buffet was excellent. Breakfast lunch and dinner was themed every day and there was plenty of choice for everyone. Special thanks to Mr Mithila who greeted us in the restaurant every day and made sure that our holiday was going well. Also a special thanks to Mr Abdulla who’s service was impeccable in the main restaurant and who did his very best to please every guest. We loved the live band during dinner and in the bar. What a great voice and fantastic guitar player. We were appointed a relations officer on the first day. Thank you Prasad for keeping us up to date of the daily activities and for arranging our domestic flights to Male. We loved the diving centre. Special thanks to Mr Alex and his team who took our family out on numerous dives. We loved the lagune around the island which was full with baby reef sharks and the reef around the lagune especially in front of our villas was full of corals and fish. We saw lemon shark, turtle, black tip reef shark, spotted eagle ray and all possible tropical fish during snorkeling around the island. We loved the plantation of the island with lots of palmtrees, orchids and tropical flowers. They also installed swings and benches to relax on. They had a nice bar at the pool with pool tables were the kids had a lot of fun. Also ping pong tables and indoor badminton was available.

The weather was slightly more inclement than anticipated - usually the South West monsoon has passed by early Dctober, but this year it dragged on until the first week in December which meant a lot more rain and cloud, which in turn gave rise to a plague of mosquitos, which was probably the worst thing about the holiday, as you were continually thinking about where to go in order to avoid them - you weren't even safe in your inside/outside bathroom!

The food was excellent, especially at the a la carte restaurant. The staff were amazing, so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The Beach pool villa was excellent - recently refurbished and well appointed, and the premium all inclusive package was worthwhile for us. The additional excursions were a bonus and really enjoyable. The island itself was a nice size - small enough to feel quite intimate, but large enough for a decent walk all around the beach. The house reef was very good and easily accessible, with sheltered lagoons created for less confident swimmers/snorkelers.

Amazing place, feels like a paradise on earth. Crystal clear water, white sand, wish I would have stayed more than 5 days. Didn’t want to leave. The hotel stuff was extremely friendly, the full board meals were delicious, the rooms were very clean (cleaned twice a day) and comfortable.

Well what can I say about this place, beautiful paradise Island in the Maldives with exceptional customer service and high quality food. Beautiful sandy beaches with turquoise colour coral reefs perfect for snorkeling. The highlight of our trip was snorkeling with the manta rays, a once in a lifetime event, feeling of privacy on the beach which was very romantic. We stayed in the beach villa that led out onto a veranda and then on to the beach. The highlight for me was proposing to my beautiful wife to be Sarah where I got down on one knee and proposed with a Maldives seashell with my ring for her init then we went and had a romantic sunset dinner on the beach which was custom dug in the sand with beautiful lanterns and torches all around us and candle lit with champagne with A LA CARTE menu and the food was spectacular, can't praise the staff enough they went way above my expectations and created something truly unforgettable, we had our own waiter for the whole evening and to top it all of it was a perfect clear sky with hundreds of stars so such an amazing, beautiful, romantic and memorable moment for us. I truly Can't praise The staff enough as they worked with me to create something truly special. Everyone is so happy and helpful and the whole island is a beautiful place with luscious greenery like palm trees, banana trees, beautiful orchids and flowers all round the island. The wildlife is beautiful with flying foxes and birds all native to the island. The island has a very unique look and just oozes class. Everything about this place is spectacular and I highly recommend it to anyone. You will not be disappointed, this is pure paradise 🌴🌴☀️☀️🍷🍷A +++++++++ Book this ASAP.

The all inclusive option is not worth it for those who drink moderately: the list of nоt included cocktails wss much better and prices were between 9 and 12 dollars, taxes included. The transfer was well organised but with a long waiting time on retirn. There are thee companies flying to Baa atol with many flights a day but the hotel organses transfers with the airline owned by the hotel group, resulting in long waiting times. We were woken at 3 am for an international flight leaving at 12 noon - resulting in over 5 hours zt the airport and exhaustion from the short night (though they hosted us in a lounge until check in opens because there is virtually no place to sit in the tiny and crowded airport before check in. If they change this policy, I will visit again. Make sure you allow at least 2 hours to go thoguh the various queues at check in. The buffet restaurant is a bit like a canteen - huge, dark in the evening and not romantic. Some lights on the tables would do wonders. But generally this is a place for families, not for romantic courting.

I chose this hotel because of the reef and it did not disappoint. I spent 2-3 hours a day in the water and saw blacktip sharkes almost every time, eagle rays half the time and a turtle a few rimes, mooray eel and octopus only once. Plenty of small and large fish. The reef on the beach villas side, starting from the restaurant, has the best variety, the water was calm with good visibility. The other thing which matters to me - internet in the villa, was fine. Plenty of water and towels add to the comfort. I don’t care much about food but the buffet was really rich and diverse, tasty too. All inclusive wine was OK but the cocktails were too simple and not with the best ingredients. The staff were great without exception:

Reef and fish aroud is absolutely amazing! Water is blue as if it was a picture. Any of your photo will not require filters because of the sun and outstanding lightning around. We liked people too and one of ther is our friend now) And food is excelent!

Hotel and infrastructure is tired. But it is well maintained, very clean and everything is working properly. There is no charger near the bed which is not convenient. One charger near tv is not enough. No shower near the beach for the majority of villas. Very simple to change as water tube for foot is right near the house. Our host was not helpful, only pretended to be but never really helped. Really never. Only smiles and “yes mam” but eventually “NO”. Food is okay. Choice is there but taste is normal. All deserts and fruits are amazing. Calamari (once available) and beef tasted good. Coffee is perfect. Bottled beer in the bar was not expected by us. Pizza, quesadillas and salads nice. Cocktails are so-so. Wi-Fi is okay but there is a room for improvement. If it is wavy the speed boat would be disaster for all the bones. Jumping on waves with high speed can break the first impression. Once you need anything you need to attend and ask for what you want.

We stayed 8 nights in beach villa 225 with all inclusive. Choosing this hotel should not be a doubt. This is a unique resort with lots of things to enjoy. Below I will just pay attention on some things to be aware of. Best villas located 215-240. Beach is amazing, lots of natural shadow. If you need sun, you have to walk to it. Wildlife is reach. We saw all possible fish, dolphins, sharks, turtle. The only thing bothered us were bats…lots of bats….lots. Bugs are in the sand and one needs to be very careful with sitting on the sand. They bite like hell. Eve time it’s better to have repellent ant least on feet. Variety of sports is beyond expected. Beach volley, canoeing, masks and fins. Tennis courts and squash were nice, rackets were of a high quality. We recommend manta trip. Once in a lifetime experience. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Chandra in Ala cart, Nova in bar, Abdullah in the main restaurant made our stay.

Absolutely amazing place. The villa is right on the beach and after a few steps you are in the water full of life. There is a baby shark to see, many species of fish and of course turtles. The staff is very friendly, smiling. Averything was perfectly organized from Male airport to the island and back. A very big thanks to Munnesh who looked after my villa during my holidays. I hope to come back sometime.

Recommendation: Divide the part of the island for adults only, including restaurants. I didn't like the plastic wristband which was very uncomfortable even during massages, etc. I think it's unnecessary when you still have to sign documents ;-)

I visited this resort for the first time in 2017 and I liked it so much that I came back again. The quality of services has not changed and the structure of advice is at a high level. The island is gorgeously green with crystal water and gorgeous coral! The villa is cleaned twice a day and everything is clean and perfect. Transportation and check-in at the airport in Male without any problems. The willing employees explained everything. We arrived at 8:00 in the morning and our flight to Dharavandoo was scheduled for 11:30. We arrived at the resort around 1:00 p.m. We were warmly welcomed by Chatherine. We received a welcome drink and a refreshing cold towel with the smell of lemongrass. After completing the formalities, we moved to the villa in the location that I specified in advance :-) All employees are very smiling and hard working. I liked how they think ahead and watch what you have for example for breakfast for a drink and you don't have to worry about it for the next few days. It can be seen that the employees are well motivated. This will also affect the guest's satisfaction. I would definitely like to thank and appreciate the hospitality from Nirmal in the main restaurant. Every day he made us happy with his good mood and great service. We had an all-inclusive package that includes, for example a bar in the room, discounts to the SPA, snacks and food in the bar and even fresh juices.The food in the main restaurant is very tasty. Everyone chooses :-) We also tried Araamu Spa several times. Absolutely luxurious massage. I'm testing massages after all over the world these belong to the top. They have different promotional packages that we liked. For example: buy one and get the other free:-) Halfway through my stay I got a free upgrade to villas with a private pool! Thank you very much, it was really awesome! Last day: Departure was 11:00 in the morning. Our international flight was scheduled at 20:00 from Male.

The Watersport staff is very disappointing, not well trained, how to behave and how to talk to tourists, they should learn the kindness and the professionalism from the people at the reception. Despite the lack of professionalism of the Watersport staff, i find that the prices of the activities are overpriced, and should be reviewed.

Dream vacation!We have been to other islands before, but Royal Island Resort is the best so far.It was also a gastronomic journey every day you could try food from another country, very friendly staff, daily cleaning, its wildlife is very rich.W e celebrated our wedding anniversary here with our children!
