How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The room and the positive and friendly attitude of the staff.
Airport pickup was on time and person was courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good but could add a bit more variety.

tiny size of hotel rooms, you can hear everything going on your floor :)

There was a loud noise from air-conditioning in the room next to mine. Was offered another room upon request. Staff was friendly and helpful, also arranged for an early check-in.

I booked this just before my flight back after retuning back inland. The hotel arranged a transfer which was seamless both to and from the hotel. My room was ready at 10am as soon as I arrived to T the hotel. The room was large and spacious and clean Staff were friendly. There is a restaurant on the top floor, the food was very nice and cheap

nothing noticed other than the room size.
the hotel is not far from Airport, Just 10-15 minute drive. from airport. ferry facilities are close to the hotel. food served are delicious ,especially some local fish chutneys., fish. curry etc.. The entire staff is so friendly and supportive, especially AKHIL, Bhaskar..

Nothing to notice, it was a one night stay stopover in Male.
We were happily surprised with the pick and drop service, worked very well. The food in the restaurant was very good. The staff was also very heplful.

Staff asking several times about our check out date, they should be knowing it. We ask for sea facing room but given partially sea view last time it was better without balcony.

Pick up at airport went smoothly. Very friendly staff. Property was clean and well maintained and the restaurant had a great selection. Although all the staff were very friendly, Akhil and Amina on the front desk were fabulous at meeting all our needs and Eliratna gave us a great massage in the hotel spa. Would definately stay there again!

We were amazed by the hotels efficiency and planning for the transfer and check in (15mins from airport to room) and also had liaised with resort for transfers times for next day. I was not 100% when or where to meet transfer next day and this was really perfect assistance. Room is a compact size and comfortable. And a good breakfast with view toward the airport and islands beyond. All staff are very friendly.

The only negative point was, that after having a dring on the roof bar we couldnt pay it with local money (Rufees). They only allowed payment in dollars (cash or credit card). I think there is absolutely no reason for such a discriminatory policy (locals can pay with local money). It was no problem, but I mus say not very profesional from the hotel itself.
Breakfast was very good, lovely view (the restaurant is on the top (10th) floor. Very nice employees, especial Amina was very professional and we felt well at all times. The reception was very nice (drink, cold towel, etc..). Supper was good and to normal good prices. Room air conditioning was effective and quiet, nice big bathroom. We had a Delux room with view to the Sea and airport. Lovely. Can only recommend the hotel.
