Excellent service and a spacious water villa and provided a breathtaking view of the sunrise. the hotel pool and also the beach were amazing. The service throughout the hotel was outstanding. The staff was always helpful and friendly without being intrusive. The Varuplan which includes a lot of activities (unlimited snorkeling, sunset fishing, stargazing, yoga class and other fitness were amazing. The buffet was extensive, offering a wide variety of fresh foods. The hotel's maledivan restaurants also impressed with delicious dishes. Overall, our stay at this hotel was an entirely positive experience.

Everything about the hotel exceeded my expectations. To celebrate a milestone birthday, all the special touches to the room made celebrating even more special. Staff was absolutely fantastic and offered high levels of service, from house keeping all the way through to staff in the water sports area. Plenty of food choices, and a la carte restaurant meals were exceptional. Both General Manager and Duty Manager made personal conversations to ensure guests were being well looked after which was pleasant

We were a bit disappointed by the food at the buffet (Lime & Chili Restaurant). While there was a lot of choice, we just felt like the quality wasn't of a 5 stars hotel. It was pipping hot inside the buffet area, which meant that food supposed to be cold/fresh but most of the time hot. Cheese was melting and the fruits were warm. The quality of the coffee was not great either. On the other hand, the experiences at the charcoal and Nu restaurant were great. I wish we had the chance to try the other restaurants at the hotels. It was great to have some activities as part of our package but unfortunately they were just short in time. Both fishing and Snorkelling were only 30 minutes each (1h in total if you included the 15-min trip each way). We had an overwater villa. The room was in excellent condition but the outside area needed a bit of refurbishment.

Overall, we had a great experience at the Varu Hotel. As soon as we landed at the airport and got our bags, we headed towards the Varu counter. Someone was already waiting for us. They've tagged our bags and told us our boat will be there in 5 minutes. We barely waited and the transfer took 45min and was great. As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed by the Varu team, they provided us with drinks and also explained to us the whole process. There were multiple beaches within the hotels, the facilities were great and so were the activities part of the package. Overall, a great experience. We would like to specially thank the gentleman who was cleaning our room every day. He did an amazing job and everything was spotless. We told the team that we had a baby, and they installed a lock for us so we can lock the door from inside. The team was extremely helpful and they were really nice. Thank you again for the special attention.

Attention to details! Great services. Personnel assistance in case anything needed. The water villa has it all. The view is simply amazing. The all inclusive plan comes with great two meals in any of the restaurants, I went to the NU and Charcoal and they were absolutely amazing. The lime and chilli daily buffet is great specially the gala dinner on Friday. The included in the plan such as free massage, snorkelling and sunset cruise just made our trip even better. Special thanks to Mr. Ahmed Sober, Raqeeb and the rest of the staff. This trip is so special to the heart and surely will come again.

It's a hassle booking activities and restaurants. Guests must download an app and do the bookings on it, but from the date we checked in, the majority of restaurants and activities were fully booked. We were therefore unable to do some of the activities we wanted, but we managed to get bookings at restaurants with the help of the staff.

Resort and facilities are beautiful, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a water villa and had a great time.

In order 1. The poor beaches, lack of snorkelling …. It really is why we visit here so often 2. The CRAZY prices for trips - 150 dollars to go snorkel … 200 for dolphins ! This has been 50 or 75 in other islands 3. Checked out of our room - did not leave till 7pm - and they tried to charge me for lunch ! I was still ok holiday … 4. Felt a little commercial and man made ….. 5. Poor access for anyone with mobility issues into the sea around your villa If you’ve booked already … go and have a blast ! If not … do some more reading

Ok - this is a luxury hotel, with all the premium extras you would expect - In room mini bar, home made chocolates on your pillow and and …. The staff are great ! BUT it’s not the Maldives as you’d expect … there’s no palm trees over hanging the beach… there’s no reef to snorkel on… in fact their own staff said it’s the worst island to snorkel on … so the island do put on free snorkel trips to counter this … a great touch … some things that are great…. Gym area was amazing Staff were first class The spa was amazing The food and bespoke dining was incredible !

- The meals were very traditional and spicy. If you have a small child, you have difficulty finding simple, plain food. We ended up mainly feeding our child with pasta and pizza. - The snack time offered between 4 and 6 was also quite inadequate - Have difficulty finding fruit at every meal. The fruits offered are only watermelon, melon, and pineapple. Unfortunately, you don't see any tropical fruits. In our previous Maldives experience, there was a richer buffet - Additionally, the kids club was quite unsuccessful, it would have been better if it didn't exist at all. Despite having a fairly large garden, there were no facilities; at least putting a swing and a slide wouldn't be very costly, I think. Unfortunately, there were no activities to spend time with your child

We had a wonderful sea, sand, sun holiday that we were expecting. We really liked the quality of service and the friendly staff. Especially, we liked the music-playing band during the evening dinners (ownstageduo), and we had a great time with our daughter. We needed a doctor during the holiday, and they promptly helped us. Overall, everything was very structured from the moment we entered the hotel until our transfer to Male Airport.

Nothing!! It was all perfect!

Our stay at Varu was nothing less than perfect. The staff were all AMAZING, Sashima our housekeeper was incredible, always making us beautiful floral baths, and funny towel art on our return from breakfast…the ladies at breakfast and lunch, and the bar man, who always made us our own cocktails were all absolutely fantastic and made our stay all the more enjoyable! We extended our stay because we enjoyed it so much, and we cannot wait to come back again! Thank you Varu for making our honeymoon one that will will cherish forever 🤍
