Everything is perfect ! The staff is incredible, they are attentive to all your needs and very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable, with a direct enter to the water and space on the beach. Food is tasty and varied. The island environment is very beautiful, house reef is very nice to snorkel and dive. I would highly recommand!

The richness of housereef was a adisappointment for me since I have seen some better housereefs in relation to preservation of corals. Nevertheless you can see turtles, sting rays, muranes and many colorful fishes.

Vilamendhoo offers a variety of different excursions which are in my eyes a highlight of this island. Staff is open to fulfill your wishes regarding everything.

A small comment would be the Hot Rock meal on the beach. Just maybe a little more thought on how to make it easier for the guest to eat as the hot stones take up a large part of your table.

The location is second to none. I chose this island as the house reef is excellent and allowed my partner to experience all that the Maldives has to offer. The room was perfect with amazing views over the lagoon. Staff could not do enough and everything was well organised and attentive to the clients needs. Excursion were well run and we were fortunate enough to swim with Whale Sharks, Manta Rays and plenty of Sharks. I hope you have the luck we did as its not guaranteed but they certainly put a lot of effort into finding them.

waited at Male airport for 4 hours for the sea plane transfer to the resort . Missed lunch and ruined much of the first day . Price for soft drinks, beer and wine has increased considerably over previous years .

Would be great with playstation/nintendo switch or similar in the game room. Also, activities for kids during evening or babysitter would be nice to get opportunist for a couple dinner.

The beach is pristine and very well kept. Enjoyed the morning walk with my wife . The coral reef was mesmerizing and not too far away. Getting to the reef drop zone was very well marked. Had an amazing snorkeling experience which I did twice a day and practically covered the whole area. The Vila snorkeling was my best lifetime experience. A heartfelt thanks to Viyaan and team who gave there 100% who went above and beyond to make our trip absolutely worthwhile. Witnessing 3 whale sharks and 3 manta rays was beyond my wildest expectations. We indulged in a feast at The Funama and ate to our hearts' content. Although we couldn't manage to try everything, we had the opportunity to sample a wide variety, making it a truly delightful dining experience.

Since I’m not a very confident swimmer, I greatly appreciated the house reef which was just a few meters from the seashore. I was provided with a free life vest which made snorkeling much easier. It was also fascinating to see so many baby sharks just swimming by your feet at the seashore… the sand is powdery white and very fine (but not the sand in the sea, which is already pebbly)… food is great … the room is spacious and clean; the bed and pillows are very comfortable… I love the open air bathroom

This was the second time we visited Vilamendhoo. This island is the paradise but it’s affordable when it comes to the Maldives high prices. The rooms are fantastic and the service is flawless. The house reef is definitely worth it and you can see a lot. Ocean discovery full day trip is recommended.

One night we found 4 cockroaches in the room, even in my luggage. How they managed to get into our water villa is still a mystery. I can accept wildlife, given that we are on a tropical island, but cockroaches are really not ok. If the hotel is aware of this, it should inform and advise the guests on this potential issue (for example saying not to leave open luggage on the floor etc..). Despite this inconvenience, the staff was very helpful and reacted quickly. We also had a rough experience in our way back to Male airport, even if it's not really Vilamendhoo's fault. We boarded the first seaplane of the day (at 6am), confident that we could be at the airport way in advance for our flight at 9.40am. However, the seaplane made few stops on the way and it took almost 1 hour and half to reach Male (compared to the usual ~25min)! After that, the airport was a complete chaos with queues everywhere and we almost missed our international flight.

We stayed at Vilamendhoo one week and we had a great time! People were really nice and helpful everywhere. We enjoyed the all inclusive package (definitely worth the price!) and all the included activities (kayak, windsurf, tennis and the sunset cruise where we spotted dolphins). We also did the the whale shark excursion and we managed to see a whale shark, amazing! Definitely recommended!

The candle light dinner looked it had been improvised a bit. Little variety of food at the buffet restaurant. The beach outside our beach villa was always in the shade so we had to drag the sunbeds a bit far to be in the sun. The staff at the restaurant was not very professional we felt.

We had an amazing staying. The room, the beach, the reef, the staff, the trips were all great. Our experience with the diving centre was amazing, so was the guest service which was really fantastic throughout the holiday.

Nothing really comes to mind If I really need to dig for it - the internet connection is not really good for people who think to work there , otherwise it’s more than enough for casual use Be careful with booking of your flights to be sure to be able to take a sea plane that doesn’t operate after 17h

There was nothing we didn’t like about the property

The property was beautiful, clean and our over water cabin was better than what we expected. Staff was terrific and the service was spectacular. This is definitely a will return and recommend resort.

A small suggestion to put a coffee maker in the villas - one of the cheap little capsule units would make a nice addition and is a better experience that the instant coffee currently on offer. When at the restaurant, we often were not offered a second coffee.

We loved the snorkelling experience - you have a natural advantage with the coral wall only 50 metres from the beach. Really enjoyed the garden villa and our location on the island. Really enjoyed the Adults only dining restaurant and the 'no shoes' experience - the staff were very helpful and the food was brilliant. It was a very nice touch being clapped/welcomed when we came to the resort.

- the AC was really loud - i could hear my neighbor snore - the dive shop is way too expensive - the beach is covered with concrete structures on one side of the island - i’ve stayed at other resorts that were less expensive but more worth of your money

- the staff was very friendly - the restaurant was very very good - the house reef is really nice - the infinity pool is nice (only too bad that the view gets blocked by the houses on the water)

Our visit to this resort far exceeded our expectations! The food, rooms, service, staff and location was absolutely incredible! We loved the variety of food, the water sports were amazing and the reef was a moment away from our villa with the most incredible marine life! We also loved it was a barefoot island. It was such a special holiday and we can’t wait to visit again soon!

Usually, I don’t write reviews but this time I do: great and super friendly staff, perfect organization of travels and stay, paradisiac island, super food. Excellent dive base, diving for 30 yrs it was one of the best I ever saw. It was amazing that the island never seemed to be crowded even when fully booked. Organizing accommodation and restaurants for families and couples separately paid off nicely.

Nothing really. Just consider that the air taxi transfer means a few more hours travelling.

Great house reef with lots of colorful corals growing again. High density of fish. Some turtles. Some sharks. No rays seen during our week. However, there are 35 min to 50 min speed boat journeys to whaleshark and manta sites. We have seen both. Beautiful beach. No waste. Beautiful trees. Great food, especially soups, salads, shots, indian & maldivian & sri lanka food. Very clean facilities Great for couples and families Flight from Male is 400 USD for a return ticket. Had a wonderful time there and would return.

Everything. Incredible stay, wonderful staff & the snorkelling was amazing. We swam with a Whale Shark, Manta Ray, Eagle Rays and even Dolphins on our tours. Unbelievable! And the room, island and facilities were awesome. We'll definitely be back in the future! Thank you so much!
