Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

If this is not possible on check in (can’t see why) there should be information in the room about breakfast, wifi password, fact they offer dinner, taxi, if they can do washing etc? I had to ask about all these things …,
Spacious room, very comfortable bed, air conditioning worked well, kettle and fridge in room were great, easy ten minute walk to centre of Blantyre, nice breakfast -I could request eggs done as I like them.

United KingdomVery good location, close to the city centre but also private and quiet in the evening. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good. I'd recommend Delight Lodge for a solo traveller like myself looking to explore the city who is also there for work. Staff were flexible and helpful when my plans changed due to updated research opportunities, and the lodge was a great base for me whilst I went and explored other areas.

BelgiumIf, like me, you booked through booking.com and get the price room quoted in USD (41 USD in my case), be careful when you pay there as they apply a incredibly bad exchange rate. At check out, I was asked to pay 67000 kwacha! So a rate of approximately 1600 kwacha for 1 USD while the official rate was of 1078 kwacha for 1 USD... To be fair, I told them and they immediately accepted to apply the official rate and I ended up paying 45000 kwacha. Just be vigilent.
The place is very nice and well maintained. The breakfast is good. Pieter is very kind and helpful.

MalawiI had a lovely stay - it was not my first time there. The only thing was that as I had booked on booking.com and gotten a USD charge, the MWK conversion made on the day was different to the one prior discussed with the owner. I was then able to negotiate it back down, though I feel like this shuld not have happened in the first place.
