Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere is no elevator, so beware if you are traveling with heavy luggage or kid with stroller. You will need to carry them through stairs.
A very economical choice near downtown Cancun, only few blocks away from supermarket (Chedraui) and the popular market Parque de las Palapas. R1 bus goes right in front of the hotel, easy access to hotel zone and the beach by bus. The room is basic but clean and comfortable.

United StatesFront desk failed to give me a wake-up call as requested.
Shower hot water so hot it would burn you, add a little cold water and it healed aching muscles on my way out of Mexico after a week of lots of walking in 100 degree heat Very comfy bed and pillows. The TV had about 300 channels, all kinds of good movies and stuff in both English and Spanish. It's got a pool that is refreshing but only a meter deep end to end. I got the hotel room because I didn't like the bad reviews of the many hostels around the ADO / Centro area. It was quiet, clean, no nonsense, and only a few blocks from the ADO station. Food and drinks all over on the streets.

BelgiumIt's the kind of hotel that promises comfort, but a few small details end up spoiling the experience. One: central AC kept our room freezing day and night, and staff's answer when we asked them for help was "we can't do anything". There is a fridge and a microwave in the room, but nothing else - no plates, glasses or mugs or a coffee maker, and the hotel bar and restaurant were closed. WiFi worked in the lobby but not in the room on the second floor. No drinking water provided. Overall would not have stayed longer than one or two nights, it doesn't seem like the owners or management care about the comfort or their guests that much.
Good location close to buses, bars, restaurants and shops in central Cancun. Large and very comfortable bed. The room is spacious and pleasant, very clean, with real plants and daylight.

PanamaThe lobby is a bit of a mishmash. older couches and poor layout. They would do better to clear everything, make sure everything sparkles, and leave only a few select chairs and tables and/or plants.
The hotel is a good 2 star anywhere else. The building has probably been updated in the last 20 years, but normal Mexican standards. It's a decent, basic downtown hotel an excellent value for pricing.

United KingdomThe room was horrible. The ceiling AND walls had the very dated "popcorn" effect.
The room seemed relatively clean. The proximity to the ADO Bus Station as I had an early morning flight and didn't want to rely on extortionate taxis as Ubers don't take you to the Airport.

MexicoAwful experience. Someone opened our door around 4:00 am and wanted to enter our room. Obviously it was someone with a key-room. This is very unprofessional and not safe at all. We were really disappointed and they were not able to give a reasonable explanation. No one gave us an answer... We felt very unsafe.

GermanyDespite the old forniture, the hotel could have a charming outlook if it weren't for the neon lightning, the tape crosses on the floor and the signs forbidding to open the windows. The receptionist at the check-in was very nice, but the one at the desk on the following days was just terrible customer service. I asked her for a glass to take a medicine as none had been made available, she said they had no glasses in the hotel (this considering the hotel has a restaurant). I asked her how to reach the beach and she starred at me as if she was not aware of the existence of beaches.
Spotless cleanliness.

GermanyVery loud at night! They where other guest partying during the night (local mexicans), the staff was actively tolerating it but didn’t do anything about it, even they new this problem they didn’t do anything the following nights. One guy from the reception was coming asking me what my problem is at 2am at night when i was asking politely to turn down the music and stop playing guitars, in a room full of 15 people. They didn’t apologize for the inconvenience or said anything about. The Wi-fi is not working proberly, that’s why everyone is sitting in the reception area because it is working there(maybe because the staff can be in their phone all day long) So if you want a place without wi-fi on your room and a place without sleeping at night this will be perfect!!
