Words cannot describe how amazing this hostel is! An oasis of tranquility and beauty tucked away from bustling Tulum. I felt calm from the moment I stepped through the door into the gorgeous garden. Alejandra and Fernando were incredible hosts - super accommodating and kind, telling the guests to feel at home, sharing their delicious homemade kombucha (the hibiscus and mint one rocked my world!!!) with us, always available for anyone's needs and also keeping solo travelers like myself company at the bar and in the pool area, all of which was much appreciated and served to make the place feel like a home away from home. The buildings, rooms and facilities were clean, super aesthetic and well designed. And like all the guests have commented - the breakfast is INCREDIBLE. Guests were generally in their mid 20s to mid 30s, mostly couples with a few solo travelers, which was perfect for me as a female solo traveler looking for somewhere quiet and pretty to rest. People gather at the bar to chat but the pool and living room areas are generally quiet so you can choose how social you want to be. Staying at Botanica, and meeting Fernando and Alejandra, was the highlight of my time in Tulum. Thank you so much!

The room was maybe a bit small considering the price, but nothing that really bothered us as the pool area was so nice. It is a hostel with a shared bathroom but it was all very clean and comfortable.

The pool area was amazing. Huge pool with comforable beds and enough shade. The style of the place was really nice. Very nice staff, felt very welcomed with a free drink. Amazing breakfast included in the price. The staff was so sweet and recommend a great bar we went to! Lovely!!

The property and the staff have created a very special and unique environment in the centre of Tulum. This environment is very relaxing and comfortable. The daily breakfast was delicious and the special sushi evening was fantastic. The staff go above and beyond in making people welcome and assisting whenever necessary. The only place to stay in Tulum!

A curtain to add privacy to the bathroom would be nice, as currently if someone is sitting on the bed they can see the other person sitting on the loo in the mirror 😅 Some of the artwork in our bedroom wasn’t to our taste (a giant bright painting of a face, also staring at you whilst on the loo) but obviously that’s subjective.

The staff was so friendly and welcoming! They let us use the pool and garden past check-out, and the owner even gave us a lift to the bus station. Breakfast was really nice and filling, and the drinks from the bar also really nice. We could also use the kitchen which is always a plus. The hotel is really well designed, and the pool and garden area so beautiful and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you so much for everything!

It’s beautiful, relaxing and so peaceful. Everything was thought with care and i felt at home straight away. The beds were very comfortable, the hostel is very quiet and has a homy vibe. The pool area is so nice, with the bar and the open kitchen, they also have te mazcal ceremony which i highly recommend doing! I loved everything about this place and will stay there again!

This place is just beautifully decorated and taken care of and knows how to make its guest feel welcome. Fernando was the one who came at the door when we first arrived and we immediately felt we were staying at a friend’s. Everyone from the staff was super kind as well. The pool is very nice and there whole ambience of the garden is great. The room was exactly like in the pictures, but the exterior is even better in live colors. The breakfast is delicious! I could see myself living here. Thank you for making us feel at home.

Nothing all great and met our expectations.

Great location in centre of Tulum and near nice restaurants. If you want to be comfortable in the zona hotelera this is not the right place, but if you are looking for an authentic place with amazing and naturalistic vibes in the centre of Tulum this is the perfect place. The garden, the pool and the coffee bar are amazing and the staff put a lot of passion into everything they do. Breakfast was delicious and they do great coffees and homemade kombucha! They offer temazcal experience for guests 3 times per week and organise events sometimes in the venue. Me and my partner enjoyed a lot our stay at Botånica! Thanks a lot!

The only thing i didn't like relates to the dorm in which i stayed: i had the upper bunk bed which was really high. No privacy curtains, individual bed lights or shelf up there. That would have been useful. Also the ladder steps were a bit uncomfortable on barefeet. I had to use my sandals. I would stay here again in heartbeat but might insist on a lower berth instead.

Almost everything. Very serene beautiful and relaxing place. Breakfast was very good and the bakery/pizza place right next to it delicious. The staff was top notch. Isaac bent over backwards.

Very happy with my stay here! I am a little older now so staying in hostel like accommodation can be risky! This place was super chilled and friendly and the energy was very friendly from staff and other guests. Swimming pool really nice and you are surrounded by tropical plants which creates a peaceful garden. With good tunes being played. Great breakfast and the staff were very friendly and helpful to me as I had a late breakfast following on from going to a yoga class 🙌 this is a great place and I would stay again! Very clean and the air conditioning in the dorm was strong! I liked it here and the positive reviews are very accurate. Thank you for a great stay and good vibes 😎

The property is amazing! The pool area is beautiful and the design of the rooms is modern,fresh and clean. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. And are available all hours to provide recommendations for restaurants or to arrange drivers etc. They provided their WhatsApp so are really there for any question big or small you have. We had some issues with a driver and they happily called the company and sorted out any problems we had. Could not recommend this place highly enough!

Great place, which feels more like a community. Great breakfast (eggs and capuchino) and very friendly staff. Beautiful pool with a open living space next to it. The temascal ceremony was a great and unique experience!
