Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe room's temperature regulation was a little bit confusing to operate, but the combination of the fan + AC worked well. If you're traveling from sea level, prepare for climbing up stairs at the higher altitude of Oaxaca. The staff were incredibly helpful in bringing our luggage up and down.
Casa Antonieta was beautiful! The room was gorgeous, and the staff (especially Andrea) were so helpful and kind. I traveled with my sister and shared the 2 queen beds room, which was a great deal of space for such a small hotel! We had a meal and a coffee at the Amá Terrazza that were delicious.

United StatesThey need to have a coffee maker in the room . There is a cafe by the courtyard inside the hotel but having a coffee setup in your room is more convenient as you don’t have to walk to the cafe and order coffee , to save time .
Beautiful hotel with a inner courtyard . Room was big and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were great , location was great and walkable to other areas in town . Staff was great with making reservations for private driver for tours and reserving airport transfer .

United StatesWe absolutely loved our stay at Casa Antonieta! I did a lot of research before booking a hotel, and this hotel kept coming up as one of the best hotels in Oaxaca. I'm so glad we stayed there. It is beautiful, clean, great food, centrally located and has a fantastic staff. They were very helpful with any thing we needed. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Oaxaca. xx

United StatesSometimes a bit noisy being on the top floor near the Ama Terrazza in the morning but otherwise no concerns. Would have reallyyyyy loved if there was a pool at this hotel. That's the biggest thing it's missing for me
This place is a lush and beautiful dream! The details are stunning and it feels so luxurious to return home to on our trip to Oaxaca.

SwitzerlandIt would have been nice to know in advance that the hotel was under construction/renovation and an entire floor was blocked off. Not to mention, there was construction noise and drilling during the day which disrupted an otherwise tranquil atmosphere. I would have changed my reservation to another hotel if I was made aware of this in advance.
Beautiful room, cozy beds, lovely bathrooms with large showers. It felt very tranquil.

United Stateseverything felt a bit expensive for the value. It's a very inexpensive area, so it is surprising that it was over US $350/night to stay here. The recommendations were also to very expensive places. While they have great taste, it felt a bit like we could spend 5 mins doing research and get better options.
It is a very trendy and nicely-decorated hotel. Great rooftop area for coffee or beer in the evening. Well-located near the city center. I would consider it a great place to stay, although very expensive given the total cost in the city. Still, a fashionable and clean option with kind staff.

United StatesThe room was way too dark for me, there was no natural light. So even though there was a window it only opened to the public courtyard and we never opened it for privacy. But, to be honest the window wouldn’t have brought in any light anyway. Also my room had a little patio but no light came from that either because the only opening was 3 stories above. The room is decorated nicely but we never wanted to even relax in the room because it was kinda depressing. As I said we were on the ground floor so maybe the second story is where you want to be. During my time in Oaxaca I stayed at a few hotels and while I do think the staff was exceptional and the architecture of the hotel is beautiful, I wouldn’t stay here again.
The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard and the coffeehouse that is used to provide breakfast each day was excellent, and the best breakfast I had during my time in Oaxaca. It was also super quiet at night and the bed was really comfortable. Also the bathroom was huge so two people easily could use it at the same time.
