We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesIt's tricky to get the key for entrance due to the gate and space in between, and need better illumination on night at entrance, and it's not very good for handicap or people disable, cause they don't have a ramp and it's a challenge the few stairs to the main floor. But the rest was perfect.
Everything was excellent and it will be perfect except for a couple of details, great for solving issues, nice cozy restaurant, great location, we were staying for one night and change our mind , staying 3 , rooms are huge with a mini leaving room and big tv, refrigerator and drinks, and That was nice considering the hot weather, Clean, and very comfortable, the closet is big ( another room) and the bathroom modern, stylish and clean. It's very quiet, and while is not like the 4 stars hotel we always stay, we will go back because of the simplicity and character of the site.

United StatesThe mattress was a little too firm for us, but we slept well nonetheless.
Casa Almar has a beautiful courtyard that’s perfect for outdoor dining. There’s also an interior dining area in the Potosina restaurant that’s in front of the hotel. We had breakfast there almost every day. The food was really fantastic. Try their Hueva a la Mexicana plate for breakfast, their Potosina Ensalada for lunch, and Filete Empapelado for dinner. The hotel room was large with great air conditioning, a small fridge/freezer, large closet. huge tv, good internet, and nice water pressure in the shower. The staff were all so pleasant and accommodating. We will be back!

United StatesCheck in is a disaster. Had they told me all the ridiculous rules, I would not have booked. They insist that I broke their washing machine button and are refusing to give me my refund. The button was broken before I got there. This place was more of a chore than a vacation.

NetherlandsBad reviews deserve detailed explanation. In short: the initial communication was horrible and the place is seriously overpriced. Main reason I am not satisfied was the communication on the day of arrival. I paid my 3 nights stay and was prepared for 100 usd deposit and checkin from 3 pm, as described. My bus would arrive in town 6.30pm saturday, not unusual. During my travel the host wrote me that if I arrive after 5pm I can't enter the building unless I pay the deposit in a way impossible for me to do. There is no excuse for this bad treatment. Already travelling, I dont want to worry about that. After Booking interfered , they said they would wait for me. Then they send me selfcheckin instructions and that I could pay the deposit the next day. At breakfast I was ready to pay the deposit but they didn't know anything about it, the host is managing the place from distance. Finally we agreed I would pay it the day before I left and get it back at checkout. Before checkin I had already received over a thousand words of communication, switching between english and spanish. I would suggest to keep messages short and to the point, only how to get in and put the other information in the room to find. A lot of basics are missing, The room is huge, but has no windows, no desk to work on, no hanging locker, very difficult to dry the towels or hang your clothes, no shelvespace in the bathroom etc. To enter main gate you have to get a key from a keylocker through the gate. Below is a grid with a gutter, not a good idea. Some chairs in the hallway outside the room would improve a lot, enough space, nice place to sit in the evening. Ofc. these are all smaller things. Maybe the host will say I could have asked for things, but for this price I expect more attention for details out of the gate. I hope my comments help to make it a better place to stay.
Aside the issues below, its safe, clean, good shower, quality bed, sheets and towels. Nice breakfast, friendly staff in the restaurant. Good internet. The host is friendly and has no bad intentions, but I hope she takes my suggestions seriously.

MexicoI was forced the make an advance like a safe deposit of 500 MXN (the host asked me for 1K MXN), she returned only 427 MXN due rate variances. She lives in US. The room has a problem with the bathroom, there's no escape for the water in the bath. The air-conditioned don't reach the first room, it's a complete sauna out of the main room. There's a small fridge in the cabinet. You don't have space to store your things. The cleaner will not clean will room until will be out. There's only one thrash can in the bathroom.
They allowed pets.
