How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The beach nearby is not the "prettiest" in Puerto Escondido, it's more of a surf beach but I would still HIGHLY recommend staying in this area and just taking taxis to the other beaches (I wish someone had told me this before I went and stayed elsewhere before here!).
Perfect location in Puerto Escondido. We booked this last-minute for 2 nights after a disaster with another accommodation and wish we had been here the whole time! Easy under 10 minute walk down to the main area for restaurants, shopping and the beach but far enough away that it's lovely and peaceful. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room we stayed in was huge, bed was so comfortable and AC was excellent. Pool was well maintained. Would recommend this to anyone!

Wonderful staff, beautiful design, quiet rooms and a wonderful relaxed pool area to hang out in. It’s a little further from the beach but we love that because it doesn’t feel too crazy and it’s tranquil whilst still being super easy to walk everywhere in La Punta. It’s actually our second stay here and we’ve recommended it to friends! The view from our room this time was amazing, a sea view and lovely evening sun on the balcony.

Most comfortable beds I slept on. Prime location, very quiet for a good night sleep and close enough to walk down to the beach and hustle bustle. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Highly recommend!!

It’s only a small walk outside of the main hub.

We thought that the prices for drinks were a little bit expensive, so it would be nice if the bar hosted a happy hour. There is no restaurant on site (however there are many about a ten minute walk away) so it could be a good opportunity for the restaurant to sell guac/chips etc.
We absolutely loved lounging by the pool. The entire resort was very well kept and meticulously cleaned. The staff were very helpful in recommending nearby restaurants, activities and arranging transportation. We would recommend staying here.

Excellent stay, clean, safe and modern hotel. Great location just a short stroll away from center of La Punta. Rooms had great AC, comfy beds, large TVs and nice shower, what more could you ask for. We would love to stay again.

I would love it if there was a coffee and tea maker in the room. Also a more extensive bar that serves past 8pm would be appreciated.
Very clean room with comfortable beds and great air conditioning. The pool is a perfect refuge on a hot day.

Many places in Puerto are situated on a hill so you may have to walk a little if you rent a motor bike. That being said, the walk is easy and there are nearby moto rentals and restaurants that make this location very convenient.
The hospitality was amazing. The team here was extremely accommodating when it came to early check ins or late check outs which helped us with our travel plans tremendously. The rooms were amazing, everything worked properly and the pool was extremely clean and refreshing after a hot day.

I would have loved to have food service at the hotel
The location was great. As the hotel is located at the end of the main road, it was really quiet and yet very close to the beach and the main restaurants.

If I had to change one thing, it would be to move this place a little closer to the beach. It’s about a 8-12 minute walk from the beach (where all the restaurants, bars, etc are). Nothing else needs changing, this was a great stay.
Very quiet, relaxing. Staff very kind, helped us with early check in and gave us tons of recommendations.

The garden was very pretty too, but is not used often by guests unfortunately. I think because its very quit, it would have been nice if they play a little relaxed background music from the bar. Then it would have been more enjoyable to stay at the pool longer. Great for couples or expats, not if you want to meet people.
Beautiful hotel, little boutique vibe, nice interior and rooms were perfect size. Everyday good cleaning en clean towels. Overall we really recommend this place, its not cheap but a very good hotel with kind and helpful staff!
