The location was good since we could walk most places. Nice furniture and air conditioning, Great hot water shower. the 'pet' iguana in the yard. the host Elena waas one of the best hosts in alll of my travels. she helped us so much: booking taxis, recommending restaurants, booking excursions. She is a very nice person. She checked on us during a big tropical storm and even offered to buy us boots! I liked the midweek house cleaning to get new towels etc.

The house is so gorgeous and spacious! We had the best showers here of all the stays we had in Mexico. Elena is really friendly and helpful. There is nothing you miss in the house. We think it is even better than you see in the pictures.

Very nice house in a quite street on Isla Holbox. There is a big terrace with hammock and both rooms have an en-suite bathroom. The host was very friendly and always reachable via WhatsApp.

The house is beautiful, well equipped and spacious for 4 people. Roof terrace is also really nice. Location is great, 5 min walk to restaurants and beach. Elena is a great host, here recommendations were spot on. We rented bikes for our stay, which i can warmly recommend. We had a perfect time.

This house is amazing and I highly recommend it. We spent 1 week at Casa Cacahuete and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful, well equipped and very clean. Additionally, Elena is going above and beyond to make sure that we have everything we need. She helped us book a private transfer from CUN airport, she knew a cook who came to cook dinner for us one evening, she knows great bakeries and she was very responsive to answer any questions we had. Casa Cacahuete is a very special place and i hope we can go back soon!

Noisy neighbors on Saturday morning doing some repairs. Internet is a issue on the whole Island.

Elena is very friendly and caring. She greeted us upon arrival and shared all necessary information and answered all the questions. She was extremely helpful with her advices about what Todo on the island. Location: 5 min walk from city centre and quiet beach. House: extremely spacious for 2 people. perfect for 3-4. Clean. Comfortable bed. Has everything we needed (incl. drinking water)

During autumn the Island gets flooded in some areas and the house is located in one of those areas. At the entrance of the house there is a huge puddle that makes the entrance very difficult to access. It only got worse with the days and it stinked. Its also brought a lot of mosquitos. This is of course not to blame to the property bit it does not happen in other more centric areas of the island.

The house inside is beautiful and the personnel super friendly. They gave us plenty of tips on what to do.

That we only spent 4 days in PARADISE!

First of all: Elena is the perfect host. She is very helpfull and we benefited lots of following her tips. ❤️ Second: The house is amazing. And perfect for anyone that want to stay close to the beach and centro, and still be in a quiet area. Its as beautiful as in the pictures. Our family loved the place. Regarding puddles and electricity: the entire island is like walking back 50-100 years. So the infrastructure is not up to date. Meaning that the electricity sometimes is out for a short period of time. And when it rains, there are puddles in the street. And guess what: THIS MAKES ISLA HOLBOX EVEN MORE PERFECT!!! Being there is a dream. A place to de-stress and and re-arrange your priorities. We have been in Mexico several times and travelled around. Isla Holbox is the most perfect place ever. We will for sure come back. And there is NO PLACE we would rather stay then Casa Cacahuate.

I definitely recommend staying at Casa Cacahuate while visiting Holbox. We had a beautiful and peaceful experience. The whole house has a unique vibe. We loved the roof terrace for late night stars watching.

The property was fine, the neighborhood can get dirty from trash and animals breaking the bags. It rain one day and the streets were flooded, but that’s a general problem of Holbox as an island.

it’s a very comfortable well designed little house. it’s clean, well located, next to downtown Holbox but not where it can get busy and load, and Elena was very responsive to our needs.

I can’t think of a single thing!

Karen met us at the house, it was spotless. She gave us relevant information regarding the house and neighboring facilities. She followed it up with a WhatsApp message giving some restaurant recommendations. There was ample drinking water available and if we needed more, all we had to do is let her know. It would be delivered the next day. We had 6 nights at Casa Cacahuète and would happily return or recommend 100%

The house is amazing and its design is according to the vibe and style of the island. It is equipped with everything you would need in a house. The host was really nice, giving us advice and tips about what to do on the island. Also she provided at the house fresh water for drinking.

When you arrive, don't do what we did and walk in the heat/sun all the way to the house. Better just to get a taxi from the ferry. Elena let us know in advance that the taxi was the best way, but I ignored the advice.

Overall, we loved this home! Wish we could copy the entire layout/design and build one of our own! Elena was there to meet us upon our arrival and gave us a great overview of the home and the island. Forget the beach, and just relax at this place! Our only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer in this house.

The puddles of rain around the area made it hard to get around and many taxis did not go to the area because of flooding. but that is not the property’s fault.

Elena and her team are amazing. extremely responsive and helpful always there to offer recommendations or assistance. we went during rainy season so the streets were flooded and taxis were a must and they helped us book them. always available when needed. the house is clean, comfortable and super cute! loved everything about our experience.
