Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNot a fault, great value!
Do yourself a favour and book this place when in San Cristobal. Perfect central location, fantastic breakfast and best coffee in town and the room / hotel has been done so well, a quaint little stay which was really personable. The nicest staff was just the cherry on top!

IsraelThe water pressure in the shower could be stronger. At breakfast it would be nice if there were a few more "European" options for those who don't really like Mexican food. the safe in the room was not connected to anything so it was pretty useless.
It was an excellent hotel throughout the stay The staff is kind, available and attentive to every need and question (especially the amazing Rachel). The room is spacious, clean, bright and simply meets every need. The location is excellent in the center of the pedestrian zone, close to everywhere, and yet the noise did not bother us at any point.

IrelandThe room wasn’t very well lit up, shower was a bit blocked and we never had a hand towel. I did mention the first but there’s nothing they can do as there is no installation for a main light, the other 2 I didn’t mention, so conscious they might have fixed if I did.
Great location and amazing breakfast included. On the last day my partner was sick and they were really helpful allowing us to stay a bit longer and helping us sort the transport to the airport. They saved us.

United StatesI did not like the stairs! The stairs are steep and high and I have a hip replacement and a bad back. Nothing to be done though about that because of the type of building but if stairs are really a deal breaker for you be aware.
The location is excellent, in the heart of centro, on a pedestrian only street. The building itself is a coffee shop in front with a lovely courtyard behind it and the rooms are off the second story of the courtyard. Some rooms even have private terraces and there is a rooftop terrace with great views. The staff here is truly wonderful, particularly Raquel. She hauled my luggage up that steep flight of stairs and I will be forever grateful. She was always cheerful and helpful and it felt really sincere. All the staff worked super hard. Also the vibe is very unique. If you love coffee this has to be your dream locale. I don’t drink coffee but this place must be good-it was always busy. The decor is clean minimalist, kind of Danish modern, very soothing. I had breakfast there two days and it was good. I would definitely return.

GermanyNo one off the staff could really speak English, but they tried with a translator.
The hotel is part of the cafe below. You can choose a welcome drink and breakfast from their menu (included). They even provided us a lunch bag because we had to leave at 3 in the night. The location is in the main walking area (Center). Comfy beds and nice toiletries.

NetherlandsThe sheets and towels are just not clean. They have been washed but with black and rusty stains. Probably from hanging to dry in a rusty space or line.

MexicoThe rooms are large and comfortable, however, cleanliness is really needed. We stayed only for one night and then, made a second booking for a second unexpected night. We stayed both nights in the same room and noticed linen hadn’t been changed and a couple of coffee beans that my son dropped on the floor were still there. Bathroom looked just the same as we left it. It just hadn’t been cleaned and the shower walls had hairs and scum. Also, pillows were quite old and “clustered” in the interior, they need a change. Apart from that, it was a great stay and we are pretty sure that after a great attention to detail will make the absolute best place to stay in San Cristobal, we have stayed in so many different hotels in this city and truly believe the value for the price of the room is totally worth it!
Great location, close to everything and yet pretty quiet. The hotel is small and has only a few rooms which makes it very cozy and unique. It feels antique, bohemian, very Mexican in a sweet way and calm way.

CanadaIt can get a bit noisy at night (you hear the bass from a nearby bar) but it is to be expected when you have such a central location. First cleaning wasn't the greatest but we were able to check-in half an hour early.
The room is spacious and nicely decorated. The bed is a bliss! Lots of nice touches: fresh flowers, a water jug filled every day, good hand soap and lotion, etc. There's a kettle and a mini fridge - very useful. Best way of communication is over the phone. Best suited for people without a car.

DenmarkRoom was cold (winter time) and no heating, but we were perfectly warm during the night. a pyjamas and socks will do you good if you plan to stay here during the winter. a pair of ear plugs can be useful too, as the windows are not the most sound proof. but it was nothing that hindered our nights sleep. in the bathroom there was some signs of mold, that should be attended to. probably because of poor air circulation. but overall just a beautiful room with great facilities.

United StatesThe placement of the large screen TV made it difficult to sit and watch it. Being in the center of town, there was music from a nearby club that continued past midnight.
The hotel is part of a sophisticated coffee house in the center of town. The staff is welcoming and helpful. Our room was more like a suite, being large and spacious. The bed and other furniture were comfortable, and the bathroom was large and modern. We loved the breakfasts (included), which were chosen from the cafe menu. The coffee was - of course- delicious.

IsraelThat the staff did not speak or understand English, what made it difficult to communicate. Breakfast is tasty but small. I didn't like that the reception was a part of the coffee shop. That means that when the workers of the coffee shop finish their work day- there is no one at the reception during the night if you need something. The only person left at night is the guard that does not speak English.
Location!!! Our room was incredible! Surpisingly it was quite and peaceful. Had are own huge balcony as well. Recieved a 250 g coffee as well which was such a great gesture! Amazing amazing stay!!! So clean, beautiful, big rooms! Great shower and other facilities. Highly recommened!!!

LatviaAs you are in the city centre, expect some noise on Friday and Saturday nights as it gets busy. Also, during the day some drum parades. 🙂 If you like to be in the middle of action, this is the place. But set of earplugs will sort you out. Also, no private place for guests to chill outside, like a terrace etc.
Beautiful room, nice interior touches, comfortable bed (a bit smaller than expected), loved the fresh flowers. Breakfast and coffee was excellent. Staff really nice.
