Kitchen is a bit too small to do much cooking but there is a fridge to keep things. The hostel was almost empty when I was there so not much social life if that’s what you’re looking for.

Really good location in trendy and very cool area and only 5 min walk to ado bus station. Big dorm rooms with plenty of space for luggage etc. it was very quiet when I stayed so I had the dorm largely to myself which was a nice luxury. Good value for money

Great playe with good value for the money. A lot of space, huge rooftop. It is not one of these tiny hostels where every meter a bed is squezed in but you have room to breath an live. Was really quite the days I stayed there, I even had the dorm for myself which was quite a luxury. Kind people working there. Free breakfast and small but good communnity kitchen. Really good location, less than 5 min walk from the bus terminal, which comes handy if you travel with some luggage and planning to take a night bus. Also it just around the corner of the hipster/streetart quarter Jalatlaco and only 10 min walk to the main plaza.

The pictures are nicer than a reality, breakfast is just coffee (not good quality one), fruits and bread. My room’s window was just in front of the toilets. When people are hanging out in the lobby you have lights in the room (the curtain didn’t help much)

I wasn't quite keen on the lockers being in the reception area. Even though they were padlocked, I'd feel more comfortable with them being in the same room as me. But that's just my preference and the whole place felt really friendly and secure, so no issue really x

It's like a calm little oasis in the middle of the busy city. I love it. Great WiFi in the common areas and it's a really good space to work from too. I stayed in a female dorm and slept like an absolute dream. The showers are really great too. I accept that many places the water isn't that warm, but these hot showers were a real treat. There's a massive roof top area, with a lovely little bar ($50 for a really nice Espadin Mexcal? Yes please!) and plenty of room for yoga. This hostel will always be my first choice for booking in the city from now on.

Perfect location, nice chill out areas, toast and fruit for breakfast in the morning. There is a lovely rooftop area for chilling also. Good kitchen with equipment for cooking. We could check in early as our room was ready, but equally the chairs in the chill out area were perfect while we waited - which is needed after a night bus. We also could store our bags and use the space to chill out the day we were leaving.

Very friendly owner who was welcoming and chatted with us. The room had a fan to keep us cool and fresh towels were provided. There was fruit, bread and coffee provided every morning for breakfast and the kitchen was useful to cook dinner in.

We only had 1 plug in the bedroom which was taken by the fan. Could have a better selection for breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay here, the owner is super friendly and asked how we were every day. When one of us got sick she was very sweet and we ended up extending our stay. The rooms are small but comfortable. They’re always cleaning and everything is kept spotless. Location is ideal, 5 min walk from the bus station.

The doors to all the rooms are extremely loud when opening and closing them. The wifi did not reach the dorm room and there was also no cell service in there. The lighting in the common area and in the rooms wasn’t great.

The female dorm room was spacious and cool at night, with a good sized bathroom/shower in the room. Comfy bed with multiple blankets to use. No lockers in the room but there were some near reception for use. There is a comfy sitting area and a hammock. The breakfast was good, toast with butter/jam, fresh fruit and coffee. Drinking water available, well stocked kitchen. In a good area near the bus station, a large park and restaurants nearby. No sign but the door was easy enough to find.

The place just opened so some of the furniture was not there yet (lockers, who should have arrived by now), a little tablet by the bed to put your stuff, etc but it is planned and will be there soon to make your stay even better !

The place is super well located (5 minutes from the ADO bus station)! The owner is super nice and will definitely help you with recommendations etc (and she speaks French). Also she cared about spending time with her guests, which is nice! I was able to arrive earlier and also to leave my luggage on the last day because I was taking a night bus and even enjoy the amenities until I left which is definitely a plus! I would definitely recommend this place!

a little bit hard to find the entrance as there is no sign. I couldn't take hot shower on the first day. But it was that time only. they fixed immediately.

I really enjoyed my stay in Casa Maguey, the property is new but it was great cuz everything is new also 🤩, the location is great!! just walking distance from bars and restaurants, Marine is a super host. I truly recommend this place!

Our room was extremely hot - we had to go to bed wet to make it through the night. We also had only one window (that looked out on to a very dirty bathroom) so had to keep our door open to get fresh air. The staircase to get to our room was a bit flimsy.

The location of thos hostel was perfect - close to the bus station and a 15ish minute walk to the main square.The breakfast is very basic (coffee, toast, jam and fruit) but all good. The toilets and showers were clean and there were lots of activities going on (from movie nights to dance lessons). We were also able to leave our stuff there after we checked out.

It’s in a great location just a 4min walk away from the central bus station and 10-15min walk from the center. I felt really safe all the time. The staff were really friendly and helpful and they plan activities most days of the week, so it’s great to meet new people. The facilities are very nice and clean.

Loved my stay here! I cannot recommend it enough - I arrived at 9 am off an overnight bus and they let me go for a shower and straight to my room, which was so kind. The breakfast is basic but great, and the staff are genuinely some of the nicest people I have ever met. The location is perfect and the rooms are comfortable and cool.

I loved everything! There’s no laundry service in-situ but Marine can recommend you launderettes near by.

A home away from home. Had the most amazing time there, Marine and her team look after the space and the guests so well and are full of advice and recommendations to make your stay unforgettable. They make you fall in love with Oaxaca. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The atmosphere very friendly and relax. I can’t wait to go back!

It’s hostel not hotel for me. Atmosphere like in student times, but someone can like it of course. I was terribly bitten by mosquitoes. Shower barely worked (super weak water pressure in the shower).
