Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MexicoThere was nothing that I didn’t like. The only thing that would make it even better would be afternoon tapas and wine in the patio!
My room was elegantly decorated. The location is very central but on a quiet street. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast, with numerous options, was excellently prepared, and beautifully presented.

Everything at Casa Tuna was fantastic. The location is gorgeous, the breakfast was delicious, Coyoacan itself is peaceful, exciting and easily accessible. The best part was the staff - Aurelio and others went above and beyond to help us get settled. We rented out the entire hotel for a large group, so I got to see every room, and they are all spectacular.

Casa Tuna is on great location, few steps away from Coyoacán main park. Very quiet. Spacious rooms and super comfortable beds. Very clean and pleasant.

United KingdomNothing! The staff were more hands-off versus a different place I stayed at in CDMX, but I guess that’s just a different style of service.
Beautiful location and premises. The courtyard is so lovely to sit in and enjoy breakfast in the morning. The bed was especially comfortable versus others I stayed in during this trip.

United KingdomUnfortunately there was some work going on in the room immediately above me, for some of my stay. It meant that I couldn't relax in my room or on the terrace during the day due to the noise. The work was over very quickly but it was a shame not to be able to use the terrace.
The hotel was lovely and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and there was a very nice roof terrace.

United KingdomI don't know if this is a Mexico thing, as this experience repeated pretty much throughout our stay in Mexico, but there is no coffee making facilities in the rooms or anywhere in the hotel. We asked for one in the morning, and had to wait at least 30min for simple black coffee. Secondly, I think we picked short straw in terms of room as it did not match expectations of photos. We had room with window onto the road (although the two nights we stayed we did't experience noise issues to be honest) and when we went into the room part of the curtain had fallen which was not great first expectation. And when I asked if there were alternative rooms possibly (given I had emailed and explained this is our anniversary celebration, so a special visit for us)...there was a quick "no other room available" answer which I didn't think was sincere. Overpriced breakfast! we had much much better food out on the street markets for fraction of the price. don't bother!
The property is lovely. The bed is comfortable. The shower is great, we had room 2 which had natural light from window up high ceiling. Really liked that. The location is great.

United StatesThe room faced directly onto the street. It wasn't a busy street for most of the day, but since the windows didn't seal properly, it got very noisy, especially in the morning and during weekend nights. It wasn't exactly what I expected.
Casa Tuna is a charming boutique hotel located in the heart of Coyoacan, conveniently close to many amenities. The staff were attentive and accommodating. Breakfast in the lovely patio (available for an additional $200 MXN per person) was a delightful way to begin your day.
