It's a little out of the way in Oaxaca. The walk up view could present an initial bad impression; but just wait until you go in.

The walk up view of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired but once you go in.... WOW!!! It is beautiful.The hotel is small but modern in many ways.. technology used, competency of staff, etc. The hotel vibe is very casual and sitting out on the patio terrace memorable. The provided breakfast is great and we really loved the honor system (and the price) used if you want a beverage. We felt very safe. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a smaller, laid back hotel.

The staff. Betty, Abby, Pauline and all the the staff were efficient, gracious, patient, and knowledgable. And the breakfast each morning was fantastic. They run an ecofriendly establishment, and through their efforts help adolescent Oaxacans reach educational goals they would not otherwise be able to attain. They care for the future of their culture by literally investing in their youth.

The property is in a grungy location. It seemed safe, and a 15 minute walk to the Zocalo, but you won’t be passing the beautiful buildings of Oaxaca. Also, our room seemed to have some connection to another room overhead and we could clearly hear the sounds from there. Housekeeping did not refill our water pitcher — we had to go down one flight to do so, annoying when you return from a long, hot excursion. We had booked here because we had read stellar reviews of the hotel and left a little disappointed.

The property is designed well and incorporates a lot of greenery. Our room was a nice size. The breakfast was fine. Most of the staff was helpful. They have a good mission of supporting local girls. A great little restaurant, Moogone, is around the corner, as is a plaza for helados.

The breakfast options could have been a bit better. You get fruit, yoghurt and granola as standard with some crispy thin bread. But you're kind of stuck with whatever the cooks decide to make for hot food on that day which is just one Mexican dish which you may not be feeling on the day. It would have been nice to perhaps offer options of a few simple cooked dishes. But if that was an option and we just didn't know we could ask for something else then that's our fault.

The concept and background of the hotel is fantastic. This is exemplified by the staff who are all great, really friendly and just a joy to be around. The location is just on the outside of the central area of Oaxaca so about 10-15min walk to the town centre which is very relaxing (but it was quite hot when we stayed and so it can be hard to avoid the sun in Oaxaca). The rooms were very clean, bright and comfortable with good ensuite bathrooms. The facilities are ok with plenty of pockets to relax and chill. This hotel does great things for the education of the children of Oaxaca so it was great to be a part of that as the city becomes a more popular destination for tourists.

The hotel was really beautiful. It has a lot of lovely common spaces to sit and relax. The room are clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are big and spacious. About a 15 minute walk from city center.

Oaxaca was one of the highlights of our trip, one of the reasons being the Hotel con Corozon. Lovely, helpful staff, fantastic breakfasts (different cooked dish every day) and a good location. We loved the modern design, rooftop terrace views and the hammock! Rooms are small, but perfectly formed and thought out, with air con if needed. The fact that the proceeds from the hotel support local indigenous children in their education is another benefit.

There wasn’t really a blanket on the bed - just a thin bedsheet but not a huge issue.

The room was spacious, clean and well maintained with daily housekeeping which was really helpful. The staff are always very friendly and the property felt safe with a secure gate that is only opened by the staff. Our favourite part of the stay was the amazing breakfasts cooked by the in-house chefs each morning - each morning was different and there was also an assortment of fresh fruits with yoghurt and granola, coffee, tea and fruit juices. We also had our laundry done which was a quick and easy process - just handed in our clothes with a completed laundry form in the morning and it was returned to us all neatly folded by night time. Will definitely recommend to others!

- the room’s bathroom kind of “communicates” with the next room’s bathroom. Our neighbor was unfortunately sick and we could hear very loud toilette noises that we didn’t want to hear. - The location although quite central and safe (next to a police station) feels a bit “edgy”. Although it’s only 10-15 minutes walk to reach the centre, there is a lot of traffic and noise that make the walk quite unpleasant.

-creative breakfast with local flavour -really helpful staff that helped us organized our stay optimally -the hotel has a mission to support local children from poor families -lovely decoration. You can see in a lot of details that the owner has put her/his heart into this

Nothing, it was great and we would highly recommend!

We felt at home as soon as we arrived in this hotel. The staff were lovely and very helpful, we loved the ethos of the hotel, the outdoor feel to it and the breakfasts were 10/10! Having booked a small double, we were concerned this might be a bit small for 2 adults for 6 nights. However, there was some very clever storage which meant all of our stuff was easily tucked away and the room was perfect!

Lovely social enterprise hotel around a 10 min walk from the centre of Oaxaca. The hotel was simply but beautifully decorated, extremely clean and very comfortable. The staff were helpful and very responsive when some of our travel arrangements changed and we really enjoyed the freshly prepared 2 course breakfast. We were able to arrange a private yoga lesson on the rooftop relaxation area via the hotel. A great place to relax when visiting Oaxaca

The first room I was given had a very noisy fan and no air conditioning. I was moved to a different room with air conditioning and was very happy there.

The breakfast was wonderful. I am vegan and they were able to accommodate me every morning. It is about a 10 minute walk to most restauarants, shops and museums. The rooms were nice and quiet. Staff was helpful and kind. I would definitely stay here again. We booked two tours through them and they were both great.
