The room was incredibly hot. Breakfast was weird, uncooked oats which took forever to cook and bread but no butter.

The room was nice and the view was great. The staff were very friendly.

Super hostel in the perfect location for exploring Guadalajara Centro. The staff and volunteers are amazing - always available, super friendly and fun. The hostel is really clean, with hot showers, plenty bathrooms and a big kitchen, living room and terrace. Also the dorm beds and pillows are sooo comfy! Had a wonderful stay here for several days.

The breakfast was underwhelming, just coffee, sliced bread and jam, plain oatmeal that we could make ourselves. The cleaning products used to mop the floor/clean the bathrooms were so strong that the fumes gave me a headache. One receptionist was new and didn't know how to navigate the computer system. That person had me move beds 2 times because they booked me in beds that were already occupied.

The staff were extremely friendly and always available, even when I arrived from the airport at 5:45am. Hostel is located a half a block from the city-wide bicycle loaning station. Easy walking distance to the Centro and the Colonia Americana

Room had only internal window and got hot. No A/C, fan only. Beds a little short.

Powerful hot shower. Staff very friendly. Television with Netflix. Well equipped kitchen. Very clean. Large lockers.

Hidalgo Street never sleeps, so bring ear plugs to sleep at night. "Breakfast" of coffee, tea, toast and oatmeal leaves a lot to be desired, but there are some super yummy and inexpensive restaurants nearby.

The staff that run the place are great. Everything is cleaned daily. The other travelers are fun. It's close to a couple cool sites, and it's in between the old town and the newer and hipper Colonial America. Regular buses are close and readily available to take you places, if you don't want to walk. The kitchen/dining area is really open for a nice communal environment.

Sometimes sirens can be pretty loud at all hours.

There are rooms with AC and rooms with no AC, there are rooms for different options. I like the common kitchen. It is affordable. The rooftop looks over the city nicely. A church walking distance that has a variety of food and nightlife. 🤍

Don't call it breakfast... just call it coffee

This private room for 2 people is an amazing idea because the location is good and shower is clean, water to drink is on the kitchen and you can get a coffee in the morning (even if they advertise it as breakfast)

The coffee at the breakfast could have been a bit better. I think the basically just added a little bit of new coffee to the old coffee grounds and ran it again, other than that the stay was pretty great.

Nice room, sweet terrace and very friendly stafft

Room was quite hot without the window open, which of course let in all the noise from the traffic on the street. Not the hostel's fault, just one of those things. As a result, found it difficult to sleep well.

Very friendly hostel with a nice vibe. Staff were very friendly, especially the manager Arturo. Good location.

I had a great stay at Hostal Hidalgo!

Honestly the place is very nice, there's hardly anything that I didn't like. The one thing to know is that the hostal is on a very busy street, so there is noise from the street all day and all night. The first night I found that a little loud, but then I bought some ear plugs and slept very well the for the rest of my stay.

I had a great time at Hostal Hidalgo! I stayed there for 5 nights total with my girlfriend. One night in a dorm room, and four nights in the private suite. The dorm room was pretty standard for a hostel: maybe just a little bit smaller than I've seen at other hostels, but the lockers are huge, and my bed and pillow were both very comfortable. Also the staff were very friendly, the common area was very large and clean the whole time, and the hostal is in a great location. We had the largest private room, which technically could sleep 3 people, but it would feel pretty small with three people if you all have bags. It was perfect for two people, it had a great view and a very comfortable bed, and the bathroom and shower were really nice. I would definitely stay at this hostal again!

Quite noisy at night as its on a main road.

Really good location, maybe the closest hostel to Centro. Brilliant kitchen facilities and communal areas. Netflix and sofas available for relaxing. Roof terrace is nice to hang out on. Bed are comfortable and lockers were huge! Staff were amazing and create a really lovely atmosphere in the hostel.

Rooms were small with bo windows. Could be hot for some but fans constantly working. You can't use internet in the room.

Clean place with good design. Open equipped kitchen with free breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Speak English too. Nice flat screen TV. Clean showe with strong water pressure on the roof top and clean towels. There's a pizzateria right downstairs. Close to restaurants, grocery stores..

I expected the shared bathroom to be well equipped. But unfortunately it didn't even offer an average sink to brush your teeth. The toilets should be cleaned more frequently. In the private bedroom with 2 seperate beds were no sheets, pillowcases or blankets.

The Hostel is well located, just a few minutes away from bars, restaurants and the center. The people and the stuff were very friendly and helpful. We even booked a Tequila tour, Arturo recommended us.
