The bathroom shower was not great in both rooms, it needs a new shower head , and a cover for the water strainer so the room will not smellike bathroom.

The atmosphere and location are great. We enjoyed the pool too.

The only bad aspect of this place is that it is very close to a bar that has the music very loud until late. We stayed during the weekend, not sure if it's like that all week.

The room was very comfortable (bed, shower, AC, etc). The fact that it had private parking was VERY useful because it's hard to park in that central part of Mérida. Although we didn't use it, the pool seemed very nice and might be very useful in hot weather.

The bathroom was quite basic with a very low shower (height and pressure wise).

The hotel is in a very good, central location (though next to a live music venue which can be quite loud at night). The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served in a nearby restaurant/café which has a nice choice of meals (3-5 min walk). The pool is definitely a big plus and it's great for refreshing after a long, hot day in and around Mérida.

Rooms on one side can be a bit noisy due to a bar that plays loud music on some nights. Best to go join them!

I did not like that we had to walk down the street and around the corner to get to breakfast. No shade to Hotel San Juan...my beef was with the cafe that served breakfast. While the breakfast looked appealing, the chilaquiles are geared more towards a European palate and were surprisingly bland. The only other time this happened was in Cuba in the fancier restaurants where food lacked savoriness.

I liked that it was close to the Centro without being inconvenient. We passed by another place with loud music playing and I'm grateful that this place was actually super quiet considering the location.

It really needs to be updated or price adjusted for what it offers. Its old and hot water is limited to little or none, but its my understanding this is tyical in region.

There really is no other facilities available! Some snacks would be good! And a designated smoking area!! Also quite noisy at the weekend with the bar next door and loud music

First place in Mexico that didn’t have agua purificada, had to buy in the shop. 2/3 nights (i think Mon and Tue) there was a lot party in the nearby club until like 11:30 PM. I’d give this place a solid 8 if it wasn’t for those parties, because for the hotel it’s overall good value for money.

The front desk staff were not very welcoming. No smiles, no greetings, even at check in. I wouldn't have thought anything of it if it was one person, but it seemed to be all of them who were in this manner. Hopefully the management does something to boost morale because it's clear this probably is an issue coming from the top. It was really quite a contrast to how great the cleaning/maintenance staff were. Our room was also very run down and could use a deep clean, more than what the cleaning staff could be expected to reasonably do with the quick turnaround they're confined to between guests. The "main" lighting fixture did not have covers over it and the walls were bare, which was just sort of depressing. Weirdly, when I saw into the other rooms I walked by, they all had paintings on the walls and nice fixtures, so it seems like we just got the bad room. Consistency across the property would go a long way.

Nice pool and an excellent location. Our cleaning lady Linda was absolutely wonderful and very helpful. Truthfully, all the maintenance and cleaning staff were very friendly. I spent most of my time here confined to the room as I was sick, so I really can't speak highly enough of how helpful Linda was in helping us with keeping our room cleaned.

It was a little noisy. There was a group of people staying in the hotel that were in the courtyard around 2am and back at 8 am. Woke the whole place up with no regard to the time.

This is the second time we stayed here and overall I really like the hotel. A special shout out to the lady and gentleman at the front desk who helped us with our lost phone. If we would not have had their help, we would have never gotten it back. Thank you!
