The building is renovated and repurposed. You enter a courtyard with a palatial staircase leading to upper floor. Our room was airy, bright, large cool, with two French balconies opening to street…room was extremely well furnished and supplied.

Location is superb. You are either there or 10-12 minute walk away from it, restaurants, bars, bakeries, cathedrals, central markets, local markets, gift shops, banks, …all there

A skylight in our room woke us up naturally, so on days you want a lay in, could be harder as can’t avoid the natural light.

A beautiful Casa made up of 7 bedrooms, with Spacious Morden cultured rooms. Very Clean bathrooms. Kind and helpful front desk with communication by what’s app if not on site. Calm surroundings. The location is 10/10, very close to the main square (few minutes away). Request a room at the back and the noise will not affect you if your an earlier sleeper.

The location was terrific right off the Zocalo. The room was well appointed. Violet at the front desk was incredibly helpful. We would highly recommend this place if you want something central.

Breathtaking historic building in the center of Oaxaca only steps to the Zocolo. The rooms were spacious, modern and extremely clean. Violeta was incredibly warm, helpful and communicative.

For a colonial city and a colonial building, this hotel was notably absent of charm (easy to get in Oaxaca). It had no outdoor seating, no courtyard seating, no rooftop seating (common also in Oaxaca) and no food amenities. Furthermore, it was half a block from the cathedral plaza which hosts, every night until late at night, very loud street performances which echo through the hotel. The upper level of the hotel, where all the rooms are located, is also shared with a fluorescent-lit beauty salon which does not add to the charm of the place.

The room was large, new and quite clean, and had a very modern bathroom.

The mattress was not comfortable at all.

The location was great very central. It is very busy and loud on that street, but once in your room, you can't hear much. Just don't get a room with a balcony to the street. Very clean and spacious. Lots of taxis park right across the street so easy to get transportation, although you don't need it. Oaxaca is a walking place. We only used it to take us to the airport. Would of liked to have a place with food or at least breakfast. The only bad thing was the bed was not comfortable at all.

The window looked into a hair salon so we had to keep the window closed and the hot water took about 10 min to get hot.

The hotel is very small (seven rooms) and not manned after hours (although the staff was available and attentive after hours via WhatsApp.) This was fine for me but might be a consideration for a higher needs quest.

The hotel is small and is very quiet. This may not be festive enough for some younger quests. Each room is given bottled water to use with the coffee makers. You need to go to a store to buy liters of water as you can’t drink the tap water. Although is not expensive to do this it is a bit of a hassle. You also need to purchase milk as no creamer is provided with the coffee maker.

Great location. Violeta was wonderful and helped us with taxis, private transportation to area sight and restaurant recommendations.

It does not include a daily breakfast option in comparison to other hotels in the area but that's ok as there are a lot of eating options around.

The location was excellent, especially for our first visit to Oaxaca. Staff was warm and helpful. The rooms were lovely and spacious with nice touches like slippers and robes for each person. Our family of four had a wonderful stay.

Please do not let this deter you from staying here, as it really was perfect in all other respects: On the Saturday night, there was a very loud event nearby which went on till about 02.00, so take earplugs just in case. Simply a compromise of staying right in the heart of this fantastic city.

All the staff were very helpful and kind, and the room was comfortable, clean and practical. The location was super close (literally a 2-minute walk) to the main square of the city, with lovely shops and restaurants within a 15-minute walk radius.
