Shower drain was kinda not working, we finished with lots of water after a shower.

The pool view towards the sea. The room 6 with beautiful garden.The little cat Toto makes us feel at home. The waiter at the bar was so nice and gentle.Location.Healthy breakfast every morning delivered at the beautiful terrase.

I could not say one negative thing about this place.

Everything in this place is gorgeous. The view is magical and the hotel has steps leading to a beautiful spot in the water where you can snorkel and do kayaking. Rooms are spacious and spotless clean! Staff were lovely and helpful.

Nothing, it was perfect.

Beautiful setting, very friendly and helpful staff, stunning sunsets and spacious rooms. We loved everything about our stay. Just be mindful it's in a quieter section of the island so you probably need to hire a golf cart or use taxis to get around. There is however a bar and restaurant on site and restaurants and beach clubs within a few minutes walk.

100 stairs from our room to the water. Got the dreaded room 14. The view from the deck made up for the view from our room.

The shower head kinda sprinkled water everywhere.. Mainly because it is old. Apart from that everything was nice

You have to be good with stairs! The hotel is set into a cliff side (which is part of its beauty) and the natural stone staircase runs all the way from reception to pool to the shore. Solid railings and our kids (2 and 5) did great with the up and down.

This property is a gem! This colorful little hotel strewn with plants and fountains just transports you into vacation mode. The view is incredible, food was delicious, pool area was perfect for kids and adults and the staff were helpful, friendly and accommodating!

It's not that I didn't like this but there are tons of stairs. My friend took a tumble one day and luckily she was OK! Definitely not for those who knee or joint issues. Water pressure wasn't amazing in the shower but it didn't really bother us!

We stayed at this hotel for my 40th birthday. There were 8 of us and we had 4 rooms. Each room had an amazing view and the breakfasts on the balconies each morning were superb! The staff was super friendly and would accommodate our party on one balcony so we could all eat together. I loved being on the quiet side of the island away from the chaos. It took about 20 minutes to get into town on a golf cart and about 10 minutes in a taxi. Love that you could get drinks/food by the pool. Wish there was more of a beach but that's not really the case on this side of the island. Swimming in the ocean was great on the days the wind wasn't super intense (bring tevas or shoes to wear in the water as it's a bit rocky getting in). Tons of beach clubs nearby with great swimming so we got plenty of time in the ocean.

We loved our stay at Hotel La Joya. Enjoyed breakfast on our patio every morning, music by the pool in the afternoons and the beautiful view. Service was great. It felt like our little piece of paradise.

Although bathroom was large and clean, toilet needed a new seat, and was very difficult to flush. Probably due to island water issues, but shower was either freezing or scalding. Could have used some glasses in the room.

Spacious, clean, colorful, amazing view/access to water. Breakfast included, and restaurant/bar on site. Clean pool and adequate loungers/umbrellas available. Comfortable bed. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

We loved the location. The pool. The resturant was good. There is a sand beach (if you must... we loved the snorkel)

As others said, there are about 4 flights of stairs from street to beach. The lower flights of stairs are cement and sometimes a bit irregular, so one has to pay attention. Also, the pool water was a bit cloudy and could have been cleaner. The area to enter ocean is very rocky. We had thin water socks/shoes that did not provide enough protection; need a regular pair of water shoes to comfortably enter water.

Really cute and quaint hotel. Very peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast on the room patio was just fantastic. Also, afternoon sunsets were amazing. Very nice to be away from the more hectic center of town.
