Hands down the best hotel I’ve ever been to. From arrival till departure, the staff were welcoming and super helpful. The jungle side accommodation is brand new and definitely the best from a pool perspective. Stunning views from the room and delicious cocktails - what more can you ask for?! Will return asap.

Everything was perfect during our stay. The room was amazing, the hotel is beautiful, minimalist elegant architecture with nature being the spotlight. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Special thank you to Ana at the reception, Oscar at the bar/restaurant and Miguel who was always greeted us with a smile on his face. Food at the hotel is also very good with several vegetarian options. We would definitely stay here again.

Raccoons were trying to get through the straw roof into my room and almost got there until I alerted the staff. A piece of cardboard was put up to block the hole, which was quite unsightly!

A breathtaking room and resort! The spa was fantastic, I could have spent all of my time in there. The food was delicious and the staff were super accommodating, polite and responsive.

I think it’s perhaps slightly overpriced, however the location demands a slight premium - it’s right in the heart of the hotel zone. However, this also means that you are right in the middle of throngs of tourists which, whilst great for some, we prefer a slightly more authentic experience - but that’s more of a knock on the area, rather than the hotel.

First of all, the aesthetic of the hotel is absolutely perfect - perhaps the most stylish we’ve ever stayed at. Breakfast was great, as was the swimming pool in the jungle side of the hotel. The staff were also incredible and couldn’t do any more to make us feel looked after during our stay. We had quite a big 8 legged friend come to pay us a visit on our last morning (it is the jungle after all) and the manager came to our rescue and removed it by hand and managed to keep it alive! The beach bags are also to die for. Lovely hotel!

-The towels in the room were very old and grey looking. They definitely need replacing, and were sub standard and not what is expected for a hotel like La Valise and a member of SLH. -Room could have done with a coffee machine and was a bit basic.

-Great staff, made some amazing recommendations for lunch and dinner and organised a great private driver to take us to the Tulum ruins and an amazing cenote. -Lovely big water jug in the room that was filled up regularly -Walking distance to some great restaurants -Fantastic clean beach, they clear the seaweed every morning and it was beautiful. -The sunrise from our room was incredible -Excellent WhatsApp service, they reply super fast -Lovely and quiet, no beach bar noise from anywhere which we loved -Really nice and friendly guests -I definitely recommend beach view rooms - the views are exceptional!

I was sad to learn all the hotels on the beach are powered by very big noisy generators, burning fossil fuels day and night. The road running behind the beach constantly smells polluted & I dread to think what their carbon footprint is. Would be amazing if the hotel installed some renewable energy to combat this. There is so much sun & wind on this beach that it wud be a genuine energy source.

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, we stayed in one of the cheaper garden rooms & I was a bit worried the room wouldn’t be that nice but it was perfect. Lovely outdoor bathroom, & plunge pool outside. V private & quiet. The hotel is located a bit further down from the big beach clubs so quiet at night. Beach is stunning, as is the pool. Staff will sort anything for you, all via whatsapp. A real 5* experience which was a relief as we had a few disappointments in Mexico.

Kind of pricey. The hotel doesn’t have fancy floors or bathrooms they are more in the rustic style.

The property is absolutely stunning. Located on the best stretch of beach in Tulum, it is in a quiet and peaceful zone but it is easy to get to all the amazing restaurants. We loved that there was a beach and a jungle side and you have access to both. The staff are exceptional, they go above and beyond every day. They made us feel so welcome and as if we were at home away from home. Nothing is too much for them, they really made our stay. Special thanks to Cris and Alejandra.

I would have liked a gym or fitness facility given it’s a premium hotel. Also the entire strip where the hotel is located is bizarre, a lot of really premium expensive restaurants and shops next to a hotel that has been closed down.

Property itself was really nice, it had its own private beach and the room we stayed in which was jungle side was amazing.

Thank you to the amazing La Valise hotel, we had such a wonderful time. The entire hotel was so relaxing and beautiful, located at a great spot along the beach - close to lots of amazing restaurants but also quiet and relaxed. It’s simply stunning! The everything from the atmosphere, decor and food was really outstanding. We enjoyed the breakfast everyday with a beach view. What really sets this hotel apart is the 5-star service and care from all staff, where you receive a unique experience at a truly boutique hotel. Any request you have is followed up via What’s App, making it so easy to arrange anything you need. We even extended our stay to downtown Tulum and La Valise kept our airport transfer and checked on the day to make sure our pick up was smooth. First class service! Thank you again La Valise and everyone who liked after us so well, for an incredible time which includes seeing a turtle on beach under the full moon! Thank you thank you! We hope to come back soon, we loved it!

Beautiful, clean and cozy rooms. Private beach with direct sea access. All staff (concierge, reception and waiters teams…) is incredibly welcoming and ready to arrange the best possible stay for you. Free parking is also a plus. Great location close to shops and fine dining restaurants nearby.

The barman across the sister hotel when we stayed was trying to pull a fast one when it came to paying for drinks.

The tranquillity of the surroundings of the hotel itself and the vibe of Tulum, the outdoor shower In the lush Mexican jungle. The beds are like sleeping on a feather . Couldn't fault the unreal converted beach house.
