Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNothing, everything was first class!!
Everyone was very friendly and helpful! Starting with Guillermo who reached out to me several times regarding my upcoming stay and later at the property, could not be more helpful. Guy, the owner was at the property when we arrived and gave us a very warm welcome and lots of information on local restaurants etc. Elena, thank you for the lovely cooked breakfasts.

We loved everything. Maison du Comte was like a home away from home. Guy, Elena and Guillermo were so kind and friendly and ensured we had the most comfortable stay. Our room was gorgeous and peaceful and we had a good night’s sleep in the big comfy bed. We must also thank Elena for the sumptuous and delicious Breakfast!

United StatesBreakfasts were healthy and sumptuous. Suite was spacious and quiet. Rooftop garden idyllic. Guillermo was the consummate and passionate concierge/manager/tour guide. Elena was the kindest and attentive cook/everything else. Guy, the owner, personally welcomed us on many occasions and filled us with stories about the building and the neighborhood and his own past.

United StatesMaking sure that payment went through was not as streamlined as I had hoped and finding the hotel was slightly difficult --I had to schlep my luggage across the street a couple times until I found the place.
Breakfast was delicious and staff graciously prepared what you wanted within reason. I loved the offering of tropical fruits. The location is incredible -- it's wonderful to be back in Roma. I would absolutely go back in a heartbeat. The rooftop is lush, abundant, and beautiful as are the well appointed rooms with wonderful and rather minimalist art. Overall, the hotel is gorgeous and clearly has a spirit.

United StatesMaison du Comte (MDC) was perfect for our first time visit to CDMX, a four-night Easter stay. We loved the calm and beauty of the space, the balance of highly personalised advice and the quiet getaway of our high ceilinged thoughtfully designed room. We got so much more from our visit thanks to the MDC team and shared curiosity about the treasures of CDMX. The best restaurants and cafes are within walking distance, and Roma is a great area to stay.

This renovated grand mansion-turned B&B was a delight to stay in. The location of the building is close to all the best restaurants and entertainment Roma Norte has to offer, and in a safe neighborhood. Our rooms were beautiful, spacious and comfortable, and the shared spaces are filled with artwork, elegant furnishings and flowers. There is also a spectacular roof deck with shade and plush furniture, should you wish to enjoy a drink with a view in the afternoon. Each morning, Chef Elena would prepare delicoius made-to-order breakfasts with fresh fruits, warm croissants, coffee (or cappuccino and espresso), yoghurt with granola, eggs any style (even chilaquiles!). Once, we had to leave at 7am to head out to Teotihuacan and she woke up early to make sure we had something to eat. We ate around a large dining room table with the other guests, which was wonderful for conversation and sharing of our experiences. The absolute best thing about the hotel (and maybe the trip) though, were our hosts, Guy (the owner), and Guillermo (the manager). They are both well traveled and worldly (Guillermo speaks seven languages fluently). Even before we arrived, Guillermo was checking in on us and sent lots of pdfs on his recommendations on where to visit and dine. He met us at the front and carried our bags in. Guy joined us each day and shared his experience with renovating the property - it really was a labor of love. There are even two furry hosts - Caramello and Molly, who made sure to greet us each time we returned to the hotel. All in all, it was a wonderful stay and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone coming to Mexico City.

Our stay was perfect. Guillermo greeted us and checked us in and showed us around and immediately gave a good recommendation for lunch. Leaving and entering the hotel requires you to ring a bell and someone immediately arrived. The room we had next to the stairs to the rooftop was spacious, light filled and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing! We had good choices daily and it felt like you were eating with family. The location is superb.

United StatesThe bedroom could have had brighter central lighting, but the bed lamps were great.
Other reviews had mentioned fresh croissants for breakfast -- that sold me! But the fresh fruit and eggs to order, particularly the yummy chilaquiles, made breakfast truly exceptional. The staff recommended restaurants and places to see, and they were always responsive and kind. The neighborhood is wonderful!

United StatesA previous reviewer was critical about the hot water and soap. I can attest that the bathroom amenities were adequately provided and although it took a few minutes for the hot water to circulate, it was hot enough with appropriate water pressure for all functions. I had no issues with either water or soap!
If you want an elegant accommodation in a beautifully restored home, this is an ideal choice. My room was very spacious with a huge walk-in dressing room and a large, private bathroom. There are windows, skylights and the decor is very chic with beautiful and eclectic artwork throughout. There is a lovely roof garden which is private and suited for repose. The owner, Guy, was there every day and was gracious and attentive to a visitor's needs. Guillermo, the assistant-manager was also lovely, helpful and very knowledgeable regarding navigating the complexities of Mexico City's sights, eateries and activities. Elaina, the cook, was wonderful and provided a delicious breakfast including a specially requested black mole dish. I chose this B&B after reading another excellent review which mentioned the superb croissants for breakfast and they more than met my expectations! The location in Roma Norte was great and walking distance to several destination restaurants, art galleries and a fine Jazz club (Jazzatlan) for anyone interested in good music. The street, Tabasco, is quiet and safety was not a concern. As a tourist, I used Ubers to go everywhere in the city and was delighted to return to this charming and comfortable home after a long day of sightseeing. Finally, there are 2 very lovely and friendly dogs, Caramelo and Molly, who are part of the household, well-behaved and interact as allowed by the guest. If you are looking for a "hotel" experience with room-service and a work-out room, this is not for you. If you want a beautiful B&B experience in a "hip" neighborhood, this is the place! I will definitely return with friends for the next trip.

United StatesA beautiful old mansion on the border of two amazing areas for shopping and dining out - Condesa and Roma Norte. Despite the location the street is quiet and peaceful. The property feels like a home away from home, which is much needed when visiting such a busy and vibrant city! I especially loved breakfast times when you can enjoy conversation with Guy & Guillermo, learn about things to do in the city, and eat some delicious Mexican food. There are also two wonderful dogs - Molly and Caramello!

United StatesMy mom and I stayed at Maison du Comte for 5 nights and had the most wonderful time. The location is superb, our room was spacious and well-appointed (robes, slippers, electric tea kettle, filtered water, fresh flowers), arrival/departure were smooth, and roof terrace was a great amenity. Most exceptional was the hospitality. Guy, Elena & team took such great care of us throughout our stay. Guy went above and beyond with excellent local recommendations and was kind enough to book us a driver on short notice to/from the Paul McCartney concert. Elena prepared a delicious daily breakfast and even had coffee in a thermos prepared for us on a morning where we set out very early! Many thanks to the entire staff who made our stay so special.

The accommodations were lovely, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were superb. The bed was very comfortable and the rooftop garden was fantastic. The owner had wonderful suggestions and took the time to check in on a regular basis. We walked around the neighborhood many times, even going so far as to walk about 14 miles in one day feeling perfectly safe.

Maison du Compte is a wonderful family-owned boutique hotel very well located in Consdessa. The location is very safe and near a lot of good restaurants and bars. The staff was outstanding, going beyond expectations to assist. It was my first time in Mexico City and they were very helpful in getting me oriented and making recommendations.
