Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Nice older property. Great view, can walk down to the beach with just a short dicey stretch on the main road. Steep walk back for those that are not as mobile

FranceBreakfast is only from 8:30 to 9:30am. We would have loved if it could be extended from 8 to 10am in order to better match guest needs (in our case, we had to leave early and therefore had to rush for breakfast in order to match our timing).
Nice room, big bed, everything is very clean, nice pool and outdoor spaces with a nice ocean view.

United StatesThe bed was very hard, and the bedding was subpar: mismatched, worn and poorly fitted. The only seating in the room was a metal outdoor cafe table and one chair.
The property very quiet, and while not unobstructed, the ocean view was nice. The pool deck was very pretty, and the staff was very responsive to a few minor problems we had.

United KingdomWe could not take advantage of the breakfasts as we were out early every morning. We did ask the owner if anything could be provided as a take out, she agreed and said some sweet buns and fruit would be dropped off in our room. This would have been perfect but it didn't happen on any of our three mornings. Shame. Also, we had our room "taken" by another guest so had to have their room. Not sure if it was bigger or smaller but I think the view would have been slightly better for the sunrise - but we were out that early it didn't really matter. Parking was also very tight, first come first served, we always got a spot but only just. Seems there are maybe too many rooms for the available parking, or we were just there when it was really busy.
great location, up a hill, away from the road then noise and others!

United StatesNeeds a little touch up here and there but then it will be more expensive
At first it seemed rather run down. But I stayed 2 days and really liked the vibe here. The shower was hot, the bed was comfortable, the view quite stunning, and bonus whale watching possible. Shared kitchen space and BBQ poolside very handy. Adequate breakfast included. Lots of small touches other fancier hotels don’t think to offer: lots of hooks to hang beach gear and towels, outdoor shower to wash sand off, functioning AC, screened windows, fruit at breakfast. Walk to beach was just fine.

United KingdomThe breakfast was problematic as the man doing it evidently wanted to charge money for extra food. The room could have been cleaned better, in fact one day it wasn't cleaned at all.
It was a quiet location on the outskirts of town and 15 minutes from the beach. It was excellent value with a good sized room, a verandah and a communal pool. There were hammocks in a small courtyard at well. The staff were friendly and helpful.

CanadaThe owners dog was free to roam many mornings….urinating and defecating all over the pool deck/relaxing areas. The sheets didn’t quite fit our bed so they would come off several times in the night. The bed in our suite was very comfortable in the one room and very uncomfortable in the other). Don’t rent the junior suite. It is not worth the money and all beds are supremely uncomfortable.
The cleaning staff did a good job. The pool was nice (not heated). The location is decent if you have a car.

United StatesShared patio was a little awkward but it looks like i just landed that room, most had their own patios. no hand soap, not a big deal but make sure you bring that with you, and bring a travel bidet since you cant flush tp. Hot water also runs out fast if you max out the pressure so us least water pressure you can for longer hot water.
Pretty property with great attention to the plants! Bogenenvelia rooftops were impressive! Staff was very attentive to our room refreshment. On site chef friendly with reasonable priced breakfast extras. Great view for whale watching and just in general. Comfy bed - could have used a thin topper as i could feel the coils but i am too sensitive lol. Great proximity to both beach and getting to town. Away from the main hotel strip which is a bonus for me. Beach at bottom of hill is awesome.

United StatesWe have a big truck and parking was problematic. However they did figure out how to accommodate us. Wi-fi and tv a bit of a problem, we were there for only one night. They did offer us another room. There is an outdoor kitchen, not a true restaurant. Knowing ahead of time to stop for supplies would be great to know.

United StatesRooms could have benefitted from a little refreshed paint (minor issue). Guests should be aware that the hotel is at the top of a pretty tall hill, so not a walkable neighborhood. You can walk down to the beach and beachside restaurants and then take a very inexpensive Uber back.
The views of the sea were gorgeous from our room's patio. There was a large deck around the pool where we met other travelers, including some that actually live there in the winter in their junior suites. There was an outdoor kitchen area that the long term renters used to prepare meals and where breakfast was served. Breakfast was pretty basic. Fruit, cake and a couple boxes of cereal, coffee , milk and juice. There were a few green and herbal tea options, but like most places we've stayed, if you want to start your day with black tea, make sure to bring your own. Our room was very basic but clean with a comfortable bed.
