Beach lounge chairs not very comfortable and there is no side table to put your drink on, therefore every time you picked up your drink, you got sand on yourself. Restaurant staff stood around a lot looking at their phones, almost every morning I had to get up and get my own coffee and sometimes silverware. I’ve stayed here before when it was just a Marival and everything was wonderful, now that it is emotions it just seems like they’re cutting corners. I always look forward to the breakfast with people making fresh food now the only thing that they make for you are eggs otherwise everything else is premade.

I was surprised that some could not get into the a la carte restaurants, seeing that many of them were only partly full.

Staff was always cheerful and positive. All areas were clean and well taken care of. Great service, the a la carte restaurants were all excellent!

It's not related to the hotel itself. It's more about the families that do not pay attention or don't take care about their children. One day, a child was doing poo in the pool. So our children couldn't continue playing.

The beach is cute. The personal is all the time close and doing a good service. The suites are good. And the food changes every day so all the time you can choose different options.

Check-in at arrival was poor. They gave me the wrong room keys twice. Had to do the long walk back to reception to correct it.

Only thing if i had to pick something, then I'd say let people serve themselves water and tea coffee in the restaurant

I liked they had different pools: active noisy one, quiet adult only one and kids pool. Perfect. I don't want pumping music and inescapable entertainment on my holiday, so quiet pool very very grown up and perfect for catching up with my friends. Also range of food was amazing!!!!

There was a strange smell in our room, kind of a sewer smell. It wasn't there all the time and if we left the balcony doors open it was fine.

Beautiful location, beautiful clean well maintained buildings, friendly staff. We had a wonderful stay!

We were barely able to get one restaurant reservation, they said the reservations open up on Sunday mornings for the week. We got there on a Friday and everything was booked through our stay. I did end up getting a Sunday evening reservation at the Mexican restaurant and it was very good, but was disappointed to not have more restaurant options. Otherwise excellent stay!

The resort was really nice. The staff were very kind, I liked being able to swim in the pool and also walk right to the beach. The food was decent.

The buffet could improve its variety. It was hard to reserve at the speciality restaurants.

The staff was incredibly nice and constantly caring about the guests, specially Jesús, Ricardo, Dany, Michelle, Luis, David, Charly and Jazmín. They really made our stay fun and enjoyable. Definitely we wish to go back and see all of them. The hotel is in a clean and stunning beach, where every day is shiny. The water is great for playing.

Over all the service was very good and the people were amazing, however the odd time there seems to be a little inconsistency.

Breakfast was very good especially at the Pergola. All of the AL cart restaurants were very good.

We only stayed 2 nights, so couldn't get into any of the specialty restaurants. The beds were comfortable, but the glass door to the toilet never closed tight..

Not a huge resort so easy to get around. Buffet food was fine.. lot's of options.

The beds were rock hard and not comfortable. The double beds are much smaller than a normal double and don’t fit two adults comfortably. We would have also liked if there were more snack places that were open later that overlapped with the dinner places. However, we also understand that the hotel was facing a hiring shortage and they were quite short staffed. They did an incredible job with the resources they had. We wished that there was free WiFi. Lastly, we really disliked being bombarded with time share/sales staff during check-in and orientation.

The staff were incredible and the food was excellent. There was quite a lot of variety each day with themed evenings in the main buffet. There was always something going on. The lounge had bad live music but the rest of the live music and entertainment was excellent.

well kept and well laid out. pool was warm and comfortable to get into. maintenance is done ongoing and the kids pool was down most of our stay but it was excellent when it was open

Oh my goodness, don’t go to the timeshare presentation. Just say no. We were open to the presentation, and appreciated the free massages they offered. But the “90 minute” presentation took over 4 hours on our first day, which really sucked. We had to stay to get a ride back to the hotel, because it was too far to walk. If we return to Marival Emotion—if—we’ll just say no. If we don’t return, it will be largely because of that experience.

Beautiful location right on the beach, with multiple pools, including a quiet “no kids” pool which we found relaxing. The room was in great shape, with contemporary furnishings in the bathroom. Sure, the TV was tiny, but you don’t go to Puerto Vallarta to watch TV. The food was varied and good, with our dinner at Las Palomas exceptional.

couldn't get reservations for their restaurants, which were only 1/2 full, and couldn't make tennis reservations. The concierge was not helpful, and kept telling us to go somewhere else to make reservations.

Food was not great. Didn’t like the various clubs that you could pay for to get variety in good selection. Had a super soft bed which wasn’t good and it took a few days to sort that out. Noisy kid area with music blaring.
