Bar next door plays loud music until 2am, the noise permeates everywhere. No windows in the rooms.

The noise level was a problem. There is a bar next to the hotel that blasted music until 2am. It was so loud you felt like the party was in your room. There was no escape. I did not have earplugs and couldn’t fall asleep until the music was turned off.

The location was perfect. You are right in the heart of the walled city with east walking access to everything. The room was small but very clean and the staff were so nice and accommodating.

Saturday night was a bit noisy from a bar nearby, but Sunday night was quiet. Bathroom was a tight fit, but had a good shower.

No fresh water in room. No glasses. No window. Cramped room but large closet. No one to help carry suitcases up the long staircase. A seeming indifference when we asked for these things. Also, there were loud voices in the lobby which carried to the second floor from 6am and onward. This hotel has much potential and a few changes could make a huge difference for its guests.

Noise from nearby bar at night- even on weekdays. Complimentary pastries at reception stale- not worth the calories! Maintenance being carried out at the property meant noise early in the morning also

I was on the third floor and had a hard time hauling my luggage by stair only. If you have trouble with stairs this might be a dealbreaker.

Well located within walking distance to food, beach and historical sites. Easy to catch a taxi. Front desk very helpful as well as cleaning staff. Air conditioning is great.

The room doesn't have a window. What I found very uneasy was that I got 5 calls by a Mexican phone number during the night. Also a whatsapp message from the same number asking me at midnight to come to the reception. It said hotel maya in the end. When I saw the messages the next morning, the receptionist said it wasn't them and they are going to investigate who it was. I had to write down my phone number during check in the day before. So someone must have taken the number from the check in sheet at the reception because I didnt give it to anyone else who could have known that I'm staying at that hotel. I don't know what happened but it seems that your data isn't secure there.

The clean and spacious room had a fan and an AC. The receptionist was nice and gave us information on what to visit. The hotel is well located and you can easily walk everywhere from there.
