Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesA little pricey compared to other accommodations but it lived up to our expectations. The only issue we experienced is that when the room above us was occupied we could hear a good amount of walking/shifting.
Nardazul felt like a quiet little oasis in the city. Our room was large and comfortable, the bed was excellent, air conditioning worked perfectly, and staff was very accommodating. We did not hear any street noise as the rooms are set far back from the main entrance. Location is about a 3 minute walk from restaurants/attractions and 10 minutes from Templo de Santo Domingo de Guzmán. We liked being just outside of the louder main areas.

United StatesStaff were amazing - extremely friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The location was perfect for us - easily within walking distance to all of the markets, Zocalo, etc., but without all of the noise and the crowds of those locations. The daily breakfasts were outstanding and some of the best food we ate during our stay in Oaxaca City!

United StatesI would have liked better signage on the outside to identify the property. it is not at all obvious from the street that it is a hotel property, and therefore it was a bit difficult for us to find it.
the place was clean and cozy, well appointed rooms, lovely garden terrace for breakfast. generous and tasty breakfast.

United StatesWe had a number of small issues. There were no drawers or shelves in the room or closet so we had to keep our clothes in a big pile. The breakfast is different every day and there's no choice; some we liked better than others. Three days we were leaving at 7 and when we asked if we could get coffee and/or something boxed we were curtly told no. The young man who was mostly at the door was very nice but there were interactions with others that weren't so friendly. We asked for another beer for the fridge after a couple of days and were told by a young woman that it only gets refilled after four days (which we had never been told), as if we were trying to abuse their hospitality. Finally, the street-facing wall is painted blue with no markings. The only sign is hidden on the side and is very small. When we arrived late at night we didn't want our taxi to drop us off there because it wasn't clear we were at the right place. Our friends' van drove around for quite a while trying to find the place. Just be aware of that and maybe print out a map.
This hotel is very pretty, with a courtyard for each room, a lovely open-air breakfast patio, and a big tree over the access hallway. The beds were comfortable and the decor very nice. The internet was good and the shower was hot with good pressure. The walk to the tourist area is very pretty, going through the arch of the antique aqueduct and down the gorgeous walking street. It is a bit of a walk to the zocalo but we enjoyed it.. There is complimentary soda and beer in the fridge, which was nice, plus a small thermos which you can keep. The key to the outside door is a convenient electronic opener that you just hold to the key pad.

United StatesFirst impression: entrance on a very busy street (fortunately the thick walls isolate most traffic noise). Some details: initially the room was very dark in the evening; we had to ask for additional lighting (which staff did provide later). A bit overpriced, even for Oaxaca. But overall an excellent stay.
Stunning design, comfortable bed, extremely responsive staff, outstanding housekeeping, and exceptional daily breakfasts (Yolanda and the cook deserve special mention). Liked very much having the small private garden terrace. Location is very good, about a 10 minute walk to many attractions, 15 minutes to the Zocalo.

We liked everything about the property! The location was perfect, 10 minutes walking from the city centre, but very quiet and great for sleep. The room was really nice with comfy bed and a little garden, the staff was really lovely and helpful, breakfast was great and we loved that it wasn’t a buffet, but a different local dish every day. Thank you for making our trip to Mexico even better!

It felt very safe, day and night The breakfast that was included surpassed our expectations. Beautiful courtyard, lush and green. Modern comfortable room with lots of space. Quiet retreat and a nice place to just hang out. The hotel is an easy walk from the center of town (5-10 min) but far enough to feel separated. Excellent full breakfast; we skipped lunch most days. Superb staff who are very service oriented and happy to arrange a taxi or make dining recommendations. An ideal hotel stay.

United KingdomThe shower smelled a little bit bad, I wonder if it was due to water collecting underneath the wooden floors.
Staff were excellent - extremely helpful and friendly. They helped us arranged taxi transportation, gave great restaurant recommendations and one day I had a cold they even had some over-the-counter medicine that really helped me feel better. Breakfast was SUPERB! we were pleasantly surprised to find cooked Mexican breakfast each day on top of mixed fruits, pastry, juice and coffee/tea! location was decent as it was 10 mins walk away to shops and restaurants but far away enough from all the noise (we visited during day of the dead celebrations, so there were lots of late night parties and parades on the streets). We had a beautiful room with a terrace and tub (however it was a cold water only so we did not use it). Filtered water provided each day and the kitchen happily refill our water bottles too.
