Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe rooms aren't very sound proof and so you can hear neighbours' conversations.
It felt like a really individual experience and the small team of staff made staying there feel really personal. We got lots of good recommendations and the breakfast was great. It felt very informal but well run at the same time. They also let us check in early which was a huge plus because we arrived early in the morning after and overnight bus

We had the most wonderful stay at Noma’s and couldn’t have wished for a better time in San Cris. Ivan was the most wonderful host. It is a very relaxed and cozy b&b, exactly what we were looking for. The breakfast was excellent and locally sourced, felt very authentic.

MexicoThe walls are too thin so if you have one noisy neighbor that has coughing spells you are doomed. Also the sheets are a bit rough but if you are not sensitive ( my husband isn’t) you don’t notice.
The location is great, near the Main Streets that converge in Down town San Cristóbal but not close enough to disturb a good night sleep. The staff is very knowledgeable and attentive. All the amenities work well and the little garden at the center of the b&b is blossoming and well taken care of. Antonia the cook that does the breakfast has a lovely motherly homemade touch and is very accommodating if you have food restrictions ( post operative diet, allergies, ways of life). Also she is always willing to teach you or show you how she is cooking. All ingredients are fresh and locally attained. A parking lot is two houses away and you can leave your vehicle safe, the person in charge knows the hotel and gives you a better tariff.

Ivan is so lovely and made us feel welcome from the first minute ! The B&B is perfectly located to visit San Cristobal and enjoy the tours they offer. Breakfast was delicious and we loved the little "chocolat" and "cacao" experiences Ivan added everytime. If you are looking for a place to stay, book this little gem !

GermanyWe really enjoyed our stay. Ivan is a great host, we were arriving early in the morning and he offered us to have breakfast for a small price while we were waiting for our room to be ready. The breakfast was really great and changed a bit every day. It's a 10min walk from the main streets so it's still central but also quiet at night. We were planning to stay 2 nights and instead stayed 4.

I’ve traveled a ton but this was one of the best places I’ve ever stayed at. San Cristobal is certainly a pueblo mágico but Iván at Noma makes it even more magical. I was travelling on my own (with a sprained ankle no less) and felt very much taken care of by Ivan, Antonia the cook and the rest. I felt like Ivan bent over backwards to ensure my stay was good: his recommendations were the best, he lined up my tours and even helped me buy my bus ticket to the airport. In addition, he knows everything about chocolate and makes his own - you’ll be gifted with a piece when you check in! He’s an absolute resource - from his knowledge about chocolate to the best places to explore in San Cris to politics. Noma is equally wonderful where there is so much attention to detail and ensuring local and sustainable products are used - from the soaps to textiles to food. The daily cleaning is much appreciated and you get to meet other fellow-travellers who are also lovely (Noma seems to attract them). This is even better than staying at home lol - it felt like a sanctuary with truly lovely people and at a great price. Will definitely be back!

United StatesThe room was comfortable but could use a few upgrades to make it better -- an extractor in the bathroom, thicker curtains that block out light, and softer sheets.
Noma is a charming, peaceful and comfortable B&B. The staff was very kind and helpful! For example, recommending restaurants and places to visit and helping to book taxis. The breakfast and coffee were also delicious!

Having read the reviews, we wondered if too good to be true. Ivan exceeded all of our already high expectations. Highlights: - Incredible breakfast every day - Great base location for exploring San Cristobal - Ivan sorted out all of the tours we took - these were absolutely ideal and a third of the price we found elsewhere! - Rooms were perfect for what we wanted - Very warm welcome
