Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Lovely place - a bit of a sanctuary from the town outside it's walls. Beautiful gardens and pool. Very friendly and helpful staff :) Easy Uber to the ruins at Teotihuacan. Breakfasts were great. Wonderful massages. Highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful hotel, tropical gardens and pool. Comfortable bed and some unique touches and design in the room and communal areas. Very friendly staff and a few minutes drive to Teotihuacan. The attached restaurant does very good food, both breakfast & dinner, with a lovely setting.

CanadaThe wifi was weak, it was stronger by the pool area than the room.
I will call this place a little Oasis in the city. Beautiful room with a balcony where we were able to hang out. The room was super clean and they offer daily housekeeping and the bed was very comfortable. Very cute place with lots of greenery and trees around the pool area. This is a remodelled farm house that they remodelled and made into this amazing hotel area. And the best part you’ll feel very safe as they close the big door leading to the area at night. I will definitely stay at this place when I go there again!

United StatesDue to the towns festivities there was fireworks which resulted in a lot of firework smoke, a fan would have been helpful but we also didn’t ask and out of their control.

ItalyWe arrived in the evening (10pm) and it was not easy to find the entrance, there are no indications. The bed was small for 2 people and a bit hard.
The breakfast was really good and plenty. The room was simple but nice and clean. The staff was really nice and friendly, not everyone speak English, but they do their best to help you out! The piramides are 5 min away by car.

MexicoSuper small property, tiny rooms, extremely squeaky floor. Not safe locks on rooms, not AC, mosquitoes, they do provide a small mosquitoe repellent plug in (does not work) . No trash cans in the room, stiff towels. For a “spa” they do need to bring up a notch the amenities. Didnt get the “free” breakfast because we left by 7am. They serve it until 9am.
Better than everything else on town, not worth spending the night.

GermanyThere is a small electric heater in the room, but no one bothered to pre-heat the very cold bedroom, Papalotl. Bathroom very cold, with an uncovered part of the ceiling. Around midnight there was a lot of noise, like someone banging many times on one of the garage doors. At 5 am someone noisily walked around in some upper area, banging down stars. The pool is too cold to enjoy, 20 - 22° Celsius. Temascal costs an extra 2.200 Pesos ie over 100 Dollars, for each of the first 2 users. Real bother: NO hairdryer available! Another minus: Breakfast starts late, at 9 am. The arqueological zone opens at 8 am. There is only water in the room, no coffee.
This small hotel has a nice garden, several secluded patios and relax space. The little restaurant is nice and clean, the breakfast tasty, the red wine OK. I enjoyed the good live music in the evening and at breakfast. My room had a comfortable King Size bed with an extra blanket. Fall and winter nights are cold in the area.

MexicoMaybe the only thing was that they need initiative to do stuff or fix stuff.
With the package we had breakfast was filling and good, chilaquiles or eggs the portions were good , taste was good but they didn't have a lot of options for fruits, although everything is made at the moment of ordering. The room was quite spacious, the bed was very confortable and provided you a heater. bathroom also spacious. The place is an old Hacienda but is very beautiful and quiet. there is a place for having a bonfire and a pool. its 10 minutes top to Teotihuacan. At the hotel provided us with the contact to go to the hot air balloons. The Spa is really relaxing and beautifully set , In my stay I did the Temazcal ceremony , the Temazcalero guided us very well all through the process and the experience was amazing. The massage ladies listen to the requests and were very diligent and knowledgeable.

Gorgeous facility surrounded by trees and gardens! There is even a fireplace where you can sit and enjoy time with friends and family. The swimming pool is nice as well. Above all, the staff is amazing. They were all very warm and welcoming and always going above and beyond to help and make our stay as comfortable as possible. We will remember this place for sure!

FranceThe pool was ice cold . Breakfast starts at 9 which is late if you want to be at pyramids for opening. Only local tv channels. Avoid the restaurant. While the food is fine it is expensive and very very slow . It took 40 min to serve a small pizza and everyone else in our party had finished.
The staff was very helpful. The room and gardens were lovely.

United StatesReported issue with shower head - water not flowing properly. They fixed it right away, but after one shower, it happened again. We removed the shower head.
Good location. Short drive distance to the pyramids, walking distance to the town’s center and San Juan Cathedral. Good service and food at the hotel’s Restaurant. One block from Taxi service or walk to the town’s center. Get your own taxi. If the hotel request the taxi for you it doubles the price!

Delightful posada with lovely gardens hidden behind a high wall in the little town of San Juan, very convenient for visiting the pyramids of Teotihuacan a short drive away. Lovely, helpful staff, a spotless room ( we were given the giant-king-size suite with its own pretty patio), traditional hacienda-style decor, very comfortable. Delicious breakfast. La Casa de Tata around the corner has delicious birria and pozole stews for a good price for dinner. Highly recommend doing the magical Volare air ballon flight the early morning after your visit to the pyramids; the company picks you up and drops off again at the posada.
